Medford Cycle Gear is more than a corporate motorcycle retailer. It's a hub for the local motorcycle community. A place not only to buy what you need but to also talk shop about rides, races, and anything else of interest around motorcycle culture. Southern Oregon does not have any moto inspired coffee shops like See See in Portland or bar/restaurant like Bike Shed in LA (someone would make a killing if they opened one) so Cycle Gear is our spot. Be cautious about going here for any tire work. I recently had a tire replaced and along the way they lost the spacer in the rear hub. It was there when they balanced the tire but it was gone when they gave it back. The person I asked to look for it spent 30 seconds looking and then said they didn't have it. No accountability at all. For those who might be thinking "this guy probably lost it and was trying to get a free one" let me explain. I live 80 miles from the Cycle Gear and get 12 mpg in the truck. If I would have lost it I wouldn't spend the 3 hrs and $75 in gas to get a free $20 part. FYI...you think I would have been treated differently being my girlfriend and I spent over $1500 there this year. Not a penny more will be spend at Cycle Gear and I'll be sure all the bikers I know hear this story. read more

We just had a pair of vintage Honda 90's restored and needed helmets. We were greeted immediately upon entering the store and told someone would help us as soon as they could. There were several other customers each with an attentive associate, so it gave us a chance to peruse the huge selection of helmets. It didn't take long for Terrie to come help us. She was very knowledgeable, explained the benefits and features of the different helmets and was patient while I tried them all on - multiple times. I loved this store the minute I walked in. I went there to look for a jacket, not really wanting to buy one but the prices where so good I couldn't resist. Yesterday was my first day in Cycle Gear. It was my best sales experience in recent memory. Jason helped me choose a new helmet and took his time to break down features and reputations of all the various styles and brands. He was especially knowledgeable with first hand experience and informed opinions. I left with a sweet new helmet for less than I thought I was going to spend, and I even had fun doing it. Hi my name is Mike Johnson on my daughters account. I have to write you to complain about a employee of yours . I don't know her name but she waited on me Saturday . I was there to pick up a helmet that I purchased from you that was delivered to your shop. I went there with 3 other people that wanted to buy three more sena cavalry Bluetooth helmets but her attitude was so bad and disrespectful that they decided not to purchase there helmets there . We had to leave before I could really check out the helmet that I purchased but we came back and she refused to wait on us and that sealed the deal . I can't remember the guys name that was working with her that day but he was the one I  originally purchased the helmet from and he was excellent . I ended up purchasing another helmet from him for my girlfriend but she had terrible customer service skills .  it was so bad I had to write you to let you know . It's my hopes that she is talked to or goes thru a retraining on how to treat customers. If i wasn't for the guy who helped us, this would have been 1 star because of the women. MEDFORD CYCLE GEAR...YOU ROCK!!!! I came in as a new "street" rider needing..everything. And that's what I got. Customer service is amazing. From fitting for a helmet down to gloves and socks. They have everything ya need. And will happily order anything else. Shipping to store or home is screaming fast too. I'm all set for Team Oregon riding course.... that unfortunately has been cancelled due to the C-virus. Anyone that rides, new or seasoned...check 'em out. Great people, great prices! They also have a program to pay over time. I didn't use that, but nice to know it's an option in the future. I won't go anywhere else for my riding or bike needs.
