When I had questions about my bike after dropping her, the service department didn't judge, but made sure I had all the tools I needed to be successful. When I found myself challenged by different riding scenarios they always had tips for me. Yesterday a friend of mine lost a muffler pipe on the road when we were headed towards the Old Siskiyou Highway to visit Mt. Ashland. Since we were passing D & S anyway, we dropped by to price a new piece for the one lost on Interstate 5. A manager, Josh, overheard our dilemma and mentioned that there was an 'old' one in the back that would fit my buddy's Heritage. Josh then proceeded to install the pipe he found, test drove the bike and didn't even charge for the impromptu service he had performed! We couldn't believe it! My experience with D&S Harley Davidson. Since moving from Northern Oregon (Portland area) to Northern California (Siskiyou County) I was in search of a dealership to assist in taking care of my motorcycle. After visiting the two closest dealerships, I decided that D&S Harley would be the ones that I would work with. The owners and managers have always been friendly and take the time to say hello. The parts guy (Larry) can find anything! The service department has treated me with respect and have performed the jobs and work that I have brought in. Overall, my visits have been most pleasant. Amazing customer service. They DO care. These people are riders, not just salesmen or mechanics. You never feel pressured there. Always welcome, always greeted with a smile. A handshake goes a long way here. I have never had this kind of experience at any other dealership. These people walk the the talk. Try it, you'll like it. Their downfall however and the reason that they didn't get 5 stars is that they don't service bikes older than a certain number of years. Even if you bought the bike there. Beware when putting a deposit to hold an item, such as a motorcycle, until your mind is made up. If you decide not to purchase, they charge you 3% of your holding deposit total to refund it back but didn't mention that at the time. After 1 day I called to decline the potential sale for personal reasons so if another client wanted said item there wouldn't be any reason for them not to sell it. I'm glad I didn't put a larger amount down to hold as it could have been very costly! Kind of sneaky and a little underhanded, such is the world we live in! read more

The worst service department I have ever experienced. They had my bike for 2 1/2 months. After they called me to pick up my bike, I paid them the $3,400 bill, my carburetor was still leaking fuel, I put on 12 miles and it broke down. They hauled it back to the shop, they worked on it for the next 2 wks, they called me after working on the same issue and charged me another $462, not honoring their 'warranty'. I took it for a ride and it broke down again. I am filing a claim at the better business bureau and taking them to small claims court. Their the only certified Harley mechanics in southern Oregon, which is the only reason their still operational. Nightmare scenario....find another shop if you value your time and $$$ read more

Only go here if money, quality, customer service, and time are not important to you. I was told a 2-3 weeks tops to have my repairs, I called for an update over a month later. Apparently I get to miss the memorial ride for my army buddy SFC Danny Stephenson in Colorado, who died in a motorcycle accident last month, because of "backordered grips". I was then told, on today the 15th, that "maybe" they can get to it by the 30th. They seemed very confused about why I was asking for timelines and indifferent when I shared why it was important, for the second time. When I asked why I was told 2.5 weeks, "We can't tell when we order parts if they are on back order or not. We just get them when we get them." Hmm.. yes, that also sounds like BS to me. Luckily, there are one of the few shops in So. Oregon so they can stay in business.. read more

I called to get some parts installed on my bike. Service manager assured me they could do the job. So I ride an hour to get to the dealership, they take the bike back to start the install. An hour later a service writer comes out to inform me that they won't be able to service my bike. I was told if I showed up at 1:00pm for my scheduled appt that they had set aside the rest of the day to install my parts. I was then told we would need to reschedule, but when I've called I can't speak to anyone nor will they return calls. I was also told by Terri that due to my inconvenience that she would give me a gift card. So not only was the work not done, no rescheduling of my appt and no gift card was ever recieved. This dealer has really gone down hill since they burnt down a couple years ago. Perhaps should have just left it in the ashes. read more

This place is a JOKE of a Harley Davidson. I purchased my first brand new 2016 Harley here and paid for the "ESP" program... what a joke that is! First of all their service manager told me it was going to be a two week wait, to do a tire change!! So I took the rear wheel off myself and brought it into them (to get it done sooner)... they screwed me around with the "ESP" program details.... they told me after dropping it off and waiting for over 2 hours that it isn't covered!!! so I told them not to change the tire and I will come pick it up that day. When I showed up the new tire was installed on my wheel and they were trying to charge me $300 for it. And continued telling me that the "ESP" program wouldn't cover it. So in all, this was a 100 mile round-trip, in a borrowed truck (because my HD is my only transportation) and HOURS of my time wasted waiting for this. Not to mention I left D&S Harley Davidson with a wheel and NO tire on it at all.... if I could give it negative "stars" on my review I would. Okay nice shop, easy to find, but pretty much the same as any other dealership inside. I came in for clothes, & what I found took me all of about 5-10 mins to look through. This store has such a depressing, dismal, piss poor selection of shirts that I was sorry that I had worked it into my schedule to make a point of stopping there. Up until now, the dealership that took the award for the worst selection of clothing went to the Hollywood Harley-Davidson store. These guys have just snatched that title away from them! The "saleswoman" tried explaining that they were in between orders of their summer and winter clothing as if that would explain why they had such a bad selection of clothing. That's all fine & well but it wasn't as if they had empty racks waiting for the clothing to come in or were going to be adding more racks to their current, allotted floor space for clothing. They had as many racks out as it looked like they were ever planning on putting out & no more. Sooooo..... judge for yourself but I wouldn't make a point of stopping there if you're just going for shirts with the logos on them if you have other business there from what I've read on the reviews they seem to do that fine for the most part but I wouldn't waste my time with stopping there read more

Had a local shop do some pretty comprehensive work on my Dyna a while back. Big mistake. Won't go into it or name the shop, but will be having D&S do future work i'm unable to handle myself from now on. They were able to de-bug the previous shops mess-ups and get the electrics, including a crossed wire that had, without my knowledge canceled the brake light!. Polite, knowledgable guys and gals who came in under estimate and on time. Don't let the detractors fool ya', yeah sometimes stuff happens and things don't always go smoothly. It's the real world not DisneyLand. I'm, in my case, going with the factory guys at D&S from now on. read more

Probably because I was only wanting information on tire change outs. It looks like if there's not enough money in it they don't have time for you. D & S Harley dealer has adequate merchandise. I don't have any experience with their motor cycle work. My experience deals with a request over a year ago to utilize a small part of their facility for an hour for a photo shoot. They were going to charge me $200 for an hour. Of course that was too much and I said No. I've heard comments from others that this dealership over charges for many things and has a poor attitude since they are the local Harley dealership/repair shop. I was on a road trip and my Ultra Limited shifter arm and shaft stripped out as I was downshifting on hill near Medford, OR. I manage to roll up an off ramp and coast to a gas station. Some kid said I was in luck and there is a HD place about 1/4 mile from there. I drive over in 1st gear. D&S was really busy, I had to wait about 10 minutes just to get acknowledged. Not a rude thing, they were just BUSY. So I explain my situation and they don't have the parts in stock, bu were able to take parts off a new bike in the back to replace mine. Couple of hours later, my bike is ready. They even made sure the shifter was in the right place for me and washed my bike. The owner was around and seemed seemed like a good guy. He seemed to want to know about me and explained his stores philosophy about treating customers right. Not just sales at all, a nice guy who seemed interested in who I was and why I was there. Bonus 1: The store manager made a comment about a warranty. So while it took a little extra work from the guy behind the counter the whole process was covered. Bonus 2: a customer/regular/relative of someone who worked there? was there and she gave me a bungee cord to hold my cooler as I was using wire and she was worried it would scratch the paint. Highly recommend D&S. I don't live in the area, but I may just stop by again someday when I pass through. They have a huge supply of clothing and accessories. My local store has nowhere near the selection. Highly recommend. read more

Just don't go here. Their service department is awful. They didn't communicate when our estimate changed, they didn't return calls, they had the bike for 3 and a half weeks and they kept saying that it would be done next Tuesday. They are super expensive, which I wouldn't mind if you got stellar service...but you don't. I won't be going back. read more

These guys are the best! We were just starting a 12 day bike trip and my brother in laws bike has a dead battery on the morning we are supposed to leave. We finally get it started and decided to ride to Medford to get a new battery. D&S Harley Davidson was very busy that morning and told us we would have to wait until 12:30 or so before they could get to it. When we explained we were on a trip and had a long day ahead the service writer (sorry, didn't get his name) volunteered to put it in himself. He had a new battery installed within minutes and we were able to continue our trip. They treated us very well and we are extremely grateful for their excellent customer service. read more
