Came in during my work lunch time to have my new tires mounted on my rims for my dirt bike so I could pick them up after work. Do not let Sam mount your tires. The front nor the rear were seated on the bead, the rear tire had the inner valve stem sticking out the sides of the rim and the tire wasn't seated at all. So I had to wait there another hour after getting off of work for someone to fix the mistakes and mount my tires properly while Sam had already went home. Wasted my lunch and time after work when this could've been prevented before coming to pick them up. The guy that remounted them did a good job and did it properly in not sure of his name. read more

They have a decent selection of riding gear, from jackets to gloves or helmets. The prices are okay but I wonder if the employees are paid on commission. I suspect they are as when I swing by the employees tend to steer me towards the more expensive gear which I already told them I didn't need, not because of the price but because it doesn't suit my needs. And when I am checking out they always want to know who helped me, so I suspect commissions are in play here. I only mention this because I personally put more stock in what somebody is saying are the pros and cons of a helmet or gloves if they have anything personal to gain by upselling me. The employees are friendly though, and they will pop outside to look at a customers bike to discuss a concern or throw out some suggestions. If you want good gear and know what you need swing through here. If you want good gear but don't know what you need talk to friends for advice or do some online research and then come here to buy. Stopped by for the first time Thursday evening and was greeted as soon as I walked in. I have never purchased any gear or knew what to look for and I was too scared to ask, but thankfully the friendly sales associates reached out and helped me throughout the entire evening I was there. I purchased some gloves for $150 but they can range anywhere from $30-$200. All sales associates were very knowledgeable and had a bunch of knowledge not only about motorcycles but protective gear, and even stories to share about their personal bikes and accidents. I was very intimidated being the only female in the store, but felt very welcomed and know I can head back any time. We came into a pretty busy shop about 45 minutes prior to close and were really surprised with the selections available. Since this is something we don't normally do we asked for help since frustrations were building with the BF on fitment and I am so glad we did ask! We would have purchased something that would be not as effective if an accident ever happens. Aaron helped us, he was very patient and informative throughout the entire process and explained why certain things were important and differences between our selections. He was very clear and concise with his explanations and made sure we understood. Ordered a rear tire online, pleasantly surprised with the price and at how fast it arrived at the Mesa store. Stopped in today to have it mounted and at first was a bit disappointed as was told it would be end if the day or tomorrow, it was about 1:00. I did express disappointment as my bike was apart in a friends garage. The salesman said he'd put a note on my order requesting the work be done today if possible. bought my helmet monday brand new glossy carbon fiber with a visor, i do not have a bike and barely bought the helmet so i can start getting all the pieces together, friday morning decided i didnt want a bike anymore, grabbed my box ( with the helmet ) came to return it cuz they told me i could within 30 days, keep in mind i only wore it in the store, at work once and that same night at my home, they told me it had a tiny little scratch and are not letting me return it, the scratch was most likely there before i bought it cuz again, i only wore it 3 times and didnt even drive with it cuz i couldn't. and back in its box. bullshit. read more

Friendly, Helpful Staff and Good Selection With Good Prices I've been picking items up here for years. They have from what I can tell the largest selection of in stock helmets in Arizona. Also a good amount of jackets and clothing too. Lucas is always friendly and takes care of special orders and product recommendations with a smile. They also have parts and tires, but you need to bring your wheel in to them already pulled off the bike if you want them to mount your new tires. Stop in and check these guys out. read more

Great place with helpful staff. I came in to pickup a new helmet and gloves. I decided to try on some summer friendly riding jackets to assist in my research and find out what size i really am/want. The guy that rang me up for my helmet and gloves showed me multiple options. I still haven't decided on a jacket, but I'm going back today for some riding boots/shoes. Eventually ill buy a jacket from this location, i just don't know what i want yet. 7/30/22 update: the Reax fulton air boots i purchased 10 days ago are falling apart. Stitching is pulling out and the interior toe area on one boot is falling down inside the boot. I only have 385 miles on these boots. Its not cycle gears fault, but now i know why Reax no longer sells boots. Ill stop in later today to get a refund. read more

I stopped in there to browse. After riding for years I have pretty much everything I need. I was greeted by every employee I encountered and it was genuine. I had a great helmet tech talk with Don. He is way more than the guy who asks what your favorite color is and then hands you a helmet. Thanks Don and I hope your elbow heals. Q spent a lot of time with me looking at an airbag vest. Very impressed with Cycle Gear, this location in particular. Wife and I are just getting back in to riding and these guys helped us with all of our new gear. From trying on dozens of jackets and several pairs of boots to answering many questions, these guys were super helpful and didn't seem annoyed by it at all. I haven't ridden in over 5 years so needed basically a new everything. The selection here is awesome and the prices are on par too. (Gear isn't cheap, especially good gear). While I normally like the local cycle gear store here in Monterey, I noticed that a scam company called RideClutch is currently selling their product at this cycle gear store. They are also using this store as a staging area for their "giveaways", which have been shown to be a marketing scheme to make them more money, rather than create satisfied customers, since RideClutch is not sending out the products that contestants are paying for. Considering the affiliation with this Cycle Gear store and RideClutch/Livefast LLC, I give this store 1 star. Buyers beware, this store is supporting a shell company for a scamming LLC with multiple sister companies offering multiple giveaways and not sending their product. read more

Great for tires but the Austin store shouldn't even offer the mounting option!! They told me I would have to wait 2-3 DAYS for a simple rear tire mount..........2-3 DAAAYYYSS!! Are you kidding me!! What a joke! Have done business with this store many times in the past so not sure if there was a management change or what but this is UNACCEPTABLE for the customer. Then they are quick to send you to a cycle shop down the street as if they're doing you a service. Sounds like somebody might be getting a kickback for the referred business!! read more

This place is awesome! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of helmets and gear and they also have a fitting room. I just edited the biz info as this is the old address and didn't have hours and stuff site url and stuff. I like Cycle Gear... and here's why... They're WAY cooler and much nicer than the guys at Ride Now and cheaper. Like anything you should shop around but they give discounts to military and PD/FD so works for me there. They have pretty good deals on tires honestly, and bring the old wheel/tyre in and they'll mount the new one for you. I had a jacket that was, about a month later I just decided it was too big and I didn't want it anymore... they took it back and special ordered me a new one. Later I bought a Dianese Santa Monica jacket on sale that was much cheaper than anywhere else had it. The guys there are all riders and very knowledgeable with any question I've ever asked them. Always a good convo anyways when I go in there. Brought the girl in and she got her jacket there too. And they do street and dirt gear too btw. read more

Anyone who frequents cycle gear knows the routine. It's a crap shoot if they will have the product in-stock in the size you need. Their shipping and return policy are good but its difficult sifting through everything in the store to not find what you need. I have purchased a set of gloves, an oil filter, and an Arai visor from this location. If my memory serves me correctly this is a Dainese superstore but their selection is limited compared to other locations. read more
