I saw this place on Instagram advertising a free event so we decided to check it out together. What a hidden gem this place was. I think we were about 20 mins outside Chicago. They also let me know they offer winter storage for $99.00! WHAT!? I had somebody tell me they pay over $300. They fixed my girls problem in under 48 hours and washed the bike to boot. I couldnt have asked for better service. I arrived with nothing but questions. I left there feeling like family. Thank you Boomer and family for taking care us.

My 1956 Corvette has been in my family for over 40 years. I told Tim that I wanted everything…read morepainted on the car. Which we agreed included the dash and everything that was orange. Tim agreed and told me the dash and all stainless and chrome trim would be removed in preparation for paint. I told Tim multiple times throughout the painting process. That I wanted the job done right. Tim never asked if I had a budget in mind. Nor did I have one. Because again I wanted the job done right. I made the mistake of trusting Tim and never got a written contract from Tim. Only a verbal . . . Tim called me once the project began to tell me that " everything came off of the car easily". And that nothing broke. I came in to pick up the trim. Tim told me that he was going to knock $700 off the price. When I got to the shop. I was surprised to see only about half of the cars trim removed. Tim's plan was to tape off the trim and to paint the car with the trim still on it. I was also surprised to see the dash still in the vehicle. Tim's plan was to also tape off the instrument cluster and then to paint it. When asked about verbal agreement. Tim basically through a temper tantrum in his shop. Saying that it didn't need to be done. So the car was painted with the trim still on and the dash still in the car. Tim , told me at a previous date to the painting. That because a leaking pump in the trunk needed to be replaced. And that he needed to replace two seat covers. That i asked him to replace. And the car was in an accident. He needed to raise the price $3200 more than the most recent quote. It didn't take long to prove that the car was never in an accident. And Tim was clearly lying. He also decided later on that he wasn't going to replace the seat covers. But Tim never brought the price back to his original quote plus the cost of the pump replacement. Once the car was finished. I asked Tim to fix multiple issues including: missing paint under dash that he painted already peeling paint on dash already peeling paint near passenger side window unpainted area in the passenger side door hinge unpainted floor underneath carpet patch on floor carpet from incorrect install unpainted interior doors unpainted area under deck lid unpainted areas inside truck that he painted unpainted door trim over spray on windows missing paint in inside of glove box multiple visible primer spots throughout car due to not properly removing trim not replacing the door panels, kick panels or windshield wipers cracked driver side window because the trim or window wasn't removed from the door before painting and sanding only painting one side of the rims Once the car was home I found multiple imperfections in the paint. Including missing paint(that would not be covered up) , scratches , swirl marks and areas that were not filled with filler. But just sprayed with paint. I believe the original paint job was better. Tim made what should of been an exciting experience. A tense and terrible experience. Due to his aggressive outbursts. Here is why you shouldn't go to Alcalde Customs. Update: so since I can't reply to Tim's reply of my review. I will update my review with a response. In regards to me not complaining. That's just another of Tim's bold faced lies. Which Tim does as easily as he breaths. I asked Tim about multiple issues. And Tim preceded to throw what, I can only explain as a grown man throwing a temper tantrum. And when I attempted to remove my car. Tim threatened to charge me the full price and keep my car parts. And in regards to him saying to bring my car in and he will fix it. I wouldn't trust Tim at this point with his finger paints and my piece of paper. And secondly please feel free to call me. And I will show you pictures of the texts of him refusing to fix any and all issues. And the last text of him saying that I'm " blocked". When referring to the huge chunk of paint. Missing from the dash he painted on my car. And any questions(773-419-5775 ) Also please refer to the picture of the bogus check , Tim lies about

Tim was great to work with, had the bags painted in just a few days, and they look fantastic! He was even able to paint over the chrome bezels and hinges perfectly. I couldn't be happier with the results! I'll definitely be using Alcalde Customs for all of my paint work!

The sales people were both very knowledgeable, took their time with me, explained everything and even delivered the bike to my house for no additional charge. My trade was fair, but I did not have any issues with my bike either. It was in perfect condition, and they gave me a fair trade in price because it was in perfect condition. I left with everyone shaking my hand and telling me thank you, which I appreciated, because buying a new baby for the garage is a big deal for me and I don't just spend my hard earned money. I have returned for my new jacket, helmet and oil changes since then. I would recommend them to anyone.

WARNING! DO NOT BUY OR SHOP AT THIS STORE EVER! Before I explain my story, I was just about to make…read morethe purchase and I signed all the contracts that was given to me. Upon making a final review I saw that this dealer was trying to ripp me off $400 dollars and when I finnally caught them in a big lie, he told me to leave the store and we were done. The next day I found out that this dealership still submitted the deal to HSBC Finance and was already paid, leaving me legally responsible for a 5 year loan when I never agreed to the terms nor did I take posession of the motorcycle! If any sales person from this dealer when shopping for a motorcycle, whatever you do, do not leave any deposits, do not sign any papers, in fact do not do business with a place that tries to ripp people off left and right. Anyway more details as follows. I stopped by this Kawasaki/Yamaha motorcyle dealership, looking to trade my 2008 CBR1000RR for a Yamaha R1. The salesman was extremely knowledgable and articulated himself well. After some negotiation, however, I left this store because we could not agree on a price. When I got home, I was invited back and it was agreed that I would get $6000 for my CBR1000RR and the price of $9895 for their motorcycle. After returning to the store and sitting in the finance department; the salesman I was working with said because they could not be sure my leaky fuel tank would be warrantied by Honda, they could only do one of two options, either I wait until I first get my tank repaired and then come back or they would deduct half the cost of a new tank now, so if Honda reneged they would only be out $200 ($400 for a new tank). I then told him there was no way I could agree to that but the original dealer was called back and assured them Honda would replace the defective fuel tank with the weld. Sure enough the deal was saved, but after looking at the paperwork, as it turned out these unscrupulous salesman was going to try and sneak the whole $400 and have me pay 100% of the cost of a new tank regardless! I understand all salesmen have a tendency to lie, fib, exaggerate, but this was blatent and a complete disregard for business ethics. When I looked at the trade in allowance line it said $5600 and I asked him what this was and pointed out it was supposed to be $6000 as agreed. He corrected me by saying "no I said $6000 with tax savings" Wow! He kept trying to change the subject and get me to focus on the bottom line but maybe this guy thinks I was hatched yesterday, I continued asking tough questions. If this dealer cannot understand the meaning of fraud maybe FTC or the Better Business Buauro can. I told him I know that was not what I was told and insisted he honor the 6000 fair trade value. I guess this dealership does not understand the concept that "Tax" is for the benefit of the "consumer" and the "Government" and not the "dealer principle." Anyway once I caught him in this lie, trying to sneak in the cost of a new tank on my dime all the while getting Honda to warranty the recall tank and pocket both sums, he promptly and in a rude manner said he was done with me and basically kicked me out of the store. Grant it he may have thought my trade was not worth what I was asking, I had another dealer that was far more reputable offer me a buyoutof $6000 dollars! I will certainly not recommend anybody shopping here unless they have an attorney present. If you must buy here, be sure to look over the paperwork and look at the numbers very carefully. And don't ever put a deposit down for a motorcycle as I am sure they can find ways to screw you on that!!
