Surprised!!! I purchased a generator yesterday and I thought it was going to be like buying one at Home Depot where you pay and they give it to you and have a nice day. NOPE!!! It was so weird to be somewhere with this level of customer service!!! What a difference, they opened it for me, added oil, put gas in it then they explained to me how to use it, what to do for long term storage. Filled out the warranty info for me. Loaded on my truck. They offered me a water, gave me a free shirt. I hope everyone goes to this store, the level of customer service was something I had not experienced in years. read more

My dad was a longtime customer of this dealer, so therefore I was, too. He bought and serviced his Goldwing here, and I also had friends who did the same. Needless to say I've been inside this dealer at least 20 times in my life, and was always greeted well. I would buy my father bike-related gifts for Christmas and bdays here, and never once had an issue. The parts, sales, and service people were always kind to me, which I appreciate, because our local Honda dealer here in Scottsdale, AZ are completely opposite. Read: they ignore you, dont greet you, and when confronted are rather rude. They could learn a thing or two from DuPage Honda/Yamaha. Came in on Wednesday and met Mark (the GM), was quoted a price for a new waverunner with an extended 2 year Warranty. He wrote down the out the door price of $11,744, I told him I would be back on Saturday with my daughter since I was buying it for her. Went back on Saturday (3 days later) and he jacked up the price $250 and told me no extended warranty. I had $12,000 cash in my pocket that I guess he didn't want. Was extremely rude and had no desire to answer questions about the watercraft or make the sale. Very disappointing for myself and my daughter after I showed her photos of it. While I haven't purchased anything from DuPage Honda, I have been there a few times for service. Service was completed on-time and at a reasonable price. Most recently, I had tried taking the seat off of my Goldwing and had trouble getting 1 of the 4 bolts back in. I called the service department and ended up talking to one of the mechanics. He told me that he had an idea what the issue was, that it would only take a few minutes, and to bring the bike by. He had it fixed in less than 5 minutes and didn't charge me anything. He demonstrated great customer service and an interest in building a relationship as far as a return customer. read more

Called to speak to the parts department today at 11am. The phone must have rang 15 times before someone answered. They told me they were transferring me to parts. 5 mins later someone came on and said "who are you holding for?" I told them the parts department and they said "they have a line of people at the counter now. He will have to call you back." This was fine by me. I gave the man on the phone my name, phone number, and even the Honda OEM part number for the oil pump I needed. It is now 8pm and the business is closed without a call back. I ordered the part online instead from a retailer out of state. Tried supporting a local business, but guess they don't want my money. read more

My portable Yamaha generator, a specialty item, was surging and DHY was the third place I took it to. I was visiting the area from southcentral Wisc and their location was on the way. The initial e-mail and phone inquiries were answered quickly and in a friendly manner. When I dropped it off Keith was very amicable and I felt reassured with their well-equipped shop. It is big and busy. I had to wait only ONE business day to get my generator back. The techs had a trick to get it working, so it bodes well for their experience. The tech even took time to discuss how to avoid future problems. The cost was a mere 25% of what I was quoted at the previous places since it didn't even need a new carb in the first place. So It was a good experience and I will go there again for anything if needed next time. Good Job! read more

Sales department may be ok...but...under NO circumstances should you try to get any repair work there!! The guy will tell you he'll call "after lunch" and then he'll make you wait for 4 days. (If you try to call them, he won't be available and you'll sit on hold for an hour) By then, he still will not have taken a look at your bike, won't be able to diagnose the problem...but will still somehow bill you for 2 hours work. And to justify the 2 hours he'll say: "I took out the spark plug, checked it and put it back in." Huh...I'm amazed they have any business at all. Take your bike somewhere else or buy something with pedals. Seriously, it's your only hope with this ridiculous place. read more

This place has a very good smell of unprofessionalism and careless. I Came there to buy a bike. I found an interesting bike, but one of the workers just turned me off when I asked him to have some specific information. The person just went out in the office and never came back, I was waiting for 25 minutes, walking around like a dummy. When I referred to the other worker he just found the best solution not to work, he just said "I don't know" anyway I decided that it's better to leave. Just wonder if you get this type of service now, and what's going to happen to that service later, when you'll have to maintain your bike! Meh... About the best thing I can say for this place is that they have a donation box for American veterans, at least. They don't really seem like they care whether you are a customer or not, promise to call when your parts are in then don't and say they did, and act like oh well when you call them on it. I dropped off my Honda rototiller to be repaired for a float problem in the carbuerator. After waiting 1-1/2 weeks to hear back from them, they quoted me $335 to rebuild the carbuerator. All that was needed was a new needle seat and needle on the float, and for that they quoted $335, when I can buy an entirely new carbuerator on Amazon for less than $15. Stay away! This place will rip you off! I will never go back! read more

I went there yesterday (07/16/2022) to buy one of the waverunners that they have in stock. When I asked for the price, I was told that I have to pay $2200 over MSRP as a market adjustment and because it's shortage on the market. (Two month ago I bought waverunner from Highlands Yamaha without any extras and the whole process was seamless.) That being said, it's another dealer in Illinois that is trying to rip off customers. Other surrounding states, such as Missouri or Indiana do not assess this fee to their potential buyers. On top of all, the customer service/sales at Honda is horrendous, and the 2 people (I didn't get their names- it was an older man and a lady) I dealt with was very rude especially when the lady said "good luck finding something in the market" as I was walking out of the door. They just lost a customer that can bring you more business over the years. If you're in the market for waverunners, and if you prefer to work with More pleasant sales people to help you, a better business model of helping customers throughout the sales process and above all, SaVE MONEY, go to another Yamaha dealer in Countryside. read more

Called a week after that and the back order has been extended. Said they would find a different supplier, at that point I canceled the order. I had service done on my 2013 Stratoliner (got from Wisconsin) for about 3 years. And this year I bought a 2018 Yamaha Venture from this dealership. So I have worked with sales, service and parts and they are all fantastic!! They shared in my excitement in getting the Venture. Service work is excellent, parts keep me up to date (Yamaha was the culprit for being slow on the Venture options but it was cold enough I wasn't riding yet). BTW this year the parts manager helped with my choice in buying a helmet and I am very pleased. First of all this was my first experience with DuPage Honda Yamaha. With that being said this place needs a major remodel renovation. It looks as it has never had any improvements done to it. There is no comforts of a waiting area in service. The Saturday pit stop is very disorganized! People waiting for service and Guy's meeting for a ride is in the sane place? I was instructed to park my bike to the left of service. Only to find out it was on a honor system ? I went from first in line to last!! A pit stop consisted of a 5+ hour wait!! No where to wait while this was being done, No picnic tables, No Benches. Ended up sitting in the sales department where the were friendly and aloud me to sit. Everyone was polite though a little Chaotic when first opening. Mechanics are very knowledgeable and throughly and polite. It does have a feel of being understaffed however? At $129/Hour there should be some profit to reinvest in some creature comforts in service and sales. This is not my first bike and been to many Bike(Harley Dealerships) and cars. This was the worst I've been in. Kevin the service writer was polite till you had a issue and got smart with anyone asking him why if aprobelm occurred? My advice make a appointed drop it off and pick up when done. The pit stop not worth the aggravation and the lack of a waiting area makes for a uncomfortable wait.. on the bright side I think he might of been the owner or Manager offered me a bottle of cold water and brought donuts in. I called the dealership to ask for pricing on having some tires for my motorcycle mounted. I brought the rims off the bike and new tires(not bought at dealer). I was told the price would be 65-70. I figured the price would really be around $80ish. When the bill was finalized the bill was $117. They charged $12 for stick on wheel weights. I asked why the bill was so much higher than quoted and the reply was because I brought my own tires which they knew about ahead of time. They did finish the rims quickly(less than 45 minutes), but charged 1.2 hours of labor:( I paid the bill and tried to contact their manager via email several times before writing this review but was ignored. I usually go to Fox Valley Cycles and went to Dupage because it was closer to work....guess I won't make that mistake again. read more

Nick from sales could have not been ruder than he was on the phone and in person. After being told "did I studder " I had enough asked to speak to the owner who didn't even offer and apology at the way his employee spoke to me. He also offered to help me even though they were getting ready to close. The person behind the desk overcharged me quite a bit just for an oil change. After having the worst possible experience at the dealer I bought my Honda Rebel from (Fox Valley Cycle) I found Dupage Honda online, and even had a co-worker tell me his buddies owned the place (FU - sent me). They treated me great, got me right in for service, everyone was friendly and eager to help me. They are completely out of my way logistically speaking, but I am a customer for life. The kids in my neighborhood call me the dirtbike kid cause i can bunny hop a newspaper in my driveway. I love to start it in the garage and rev it to the sound of Phil Collins on the stereo. I plan on taking it to them for all service, I thought the whole bike could be disassembled with channel locks but it cant and thats the only tool i have. They also sold me a cool helmet that matches my bike, i was wearing a football helmet autographed by Mr. Rodgers but i dont want to ruin the signature. Best store ever. Big dealership, lots of bikes good sales team but cannot the same about service cost. Went there to install tires on my wheels, had the wheels and new tires with me and all it was needed was to use the tire machine to remove the old tire and install the new - the service guy behind the counter wanted to charge $ 156 for changing the tires said it was 1.5 hour labor charge. It takes less than 10 minutes to change a tire and other dealers including the Harley dealers charge $ 20 per wheel. Went to Fox Valley Cycles - great place good staff and service got both the tires done for $ 21.00. Will not recommend this place for service. Too expensive. read more
