A ton of fun!! Rode it home today.

I'm a relatively new rider and have a larger bike that I had repaired here after a one person accident. After some thought I decided I wanted something smaller, something just to get used to balancing making turns and being able to get my feet down in time. My other bike is a cruiser with the foot position forward, all a timing thing and some more experience riding will help. I looked at a few last year and after talking to a friend of mine that has a PCX and he loves it, I decided to look into it a little more. I was very impressed with the quality and some of the updates on the 2019 sealed the deal. I did quite a bit of emailing back and forth with Jo, and had everything worked out before making the trip out to Des Plaines to formally check the scoot out. Final paperwork was a breeze, as well as the complete walk through of the bike to make sure you're clear on how it operates. I put just under 30 miles on it today, and it's a fun ride for getting around the city, 150cc's isn't fast, and I can see that I'll be wanting to either ride my 650 again or pick out something bigger that's not a cruiser. Not a decision I need to make now, however I do know where I'll shop if it comes down to that. DPH has a relaxed no pressure team, when you're ready to ride, they'll sell you a ride.

Couldn't ask for a better sales and service experience. Dan made the purchase process enjoyable. TC in the parts department couldn't be more helpful. And the guys down in service are always great to work with. A well run business I feel I can trust.

Thank u all crew of Des Planes Honda. Let's talk about story. I want to buy long time a Goldwing but i know wrong shop gonna give me a lot of trouble and cost a lot repair money. Cuz of that i checked out a lot of weeks which dealer is best and they keep their promises and finally i reach Des Planes Honda. So i applied just for get some information about a motorcyle. But next day Mr Terry reach me and he told me he waiting me for meet. Basically that phone conversation had all my questions and his answers. So i told him i will be there. I pick my wife and i went. When i arrive Mr Terry find me out quickly. I ask more questions and i become more comfortable. They did care me expecially i feel i am not first time met those people. Finally they did their all job VERY WELL and they help me get my imagine motorcyle. When i pay, when i put signature and when i left they were all great and they care about me. So i like my motorcyle and i love the price and warrianty. So do not think too much and just walk in and ask everything. They are doing honest business and trying to get long term customers. Good is good bad is bad guys. They are pretty good.

The Business Manager, Dan Lavergne, went to great lengths to ensure I got the best financing rate possible.

I'm unfortunately updating my previous positive review after a disappointing experience regarding…read morethe 600-mile service on my 2025 BMW S1000RR. To be clear, the service itself was completed professionally and I paid the $420 bill without issue. My frustration is not about paying for maintenance -- it's about feeling misled throughout the process and disappointed by the lack of customer care. When I purchased the bike brand new, I was told the first 600-mile service was included. Because of the Midwest riding season and winter storage, I didn't hit the mileage until later. During visits in January and March, I specifically asked if I could bring the bike in early for service since I was still under the mileage requirement at the time. I was told no and that the bike needed to be at least around 550 miles before the service could be performed. Now, after completing and paying for the service, I was informed that as of January 2026 the bike actually could have been brought in as early as 350 miles. That was extremely frustrating to hear because it directly contradicted what I had been told previously when I made efforts to schedule the service earlier. Had I been given accurate and consistent information from the beginning, this entire situation could have been avoided. What also disappointed me was that the 6-month limitation was never strongly emphasized during purchase or during my follow-up visits. Most dealerships that value long-term relationships would at least provide a courtesy reminder or better guidance regarding an important warranty/service deadline, especially for customers who actively service and purchase through them regularly. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I completely understand dealerships have policies and need to run a business, but consistency and customer communication matter. I've purchased and serviced 3 BMW motorcycles through them, regularly bought riding gear there, tipped staff generously, and even referred multiple customers who ended up purchasing bikes from them. I genuinely believed I was building a long-term relationship with this dealership. In fact, I was seriously considering purchasing a new M1000R from them as my next bike, but after this experience, I've decided I'll be taking my business elsewhere. This review is not directed at any one employee personally, but rather the overall handling of the situation and lack of customer goodwill. Very disappointing experience from a dealership I previously spoke highly of.

They are amazing and you'd never know that this is the most active BMW dealership in the state. The service department has consistently given me precise diagnostic work, clear estimates, and meticulous documentation of all maintenance, from valve adjustments and final drive service to complex electrical troubleshooting and software updates including when I messed my electrical system up bad by installing an LED nightlight system on it. Their technicians treat older oilheads and newer water-cooled models with equal competence, use OEM parts unless I request alternatives, and always torque to spec and log service intervals so my maintenance history is complete and easy to reference. I sold that 1200 with all its maintenance paperwork and bought an R18. Turnaround times are accurate, communication is proactive (calls, texts, and photos when needed), and they're transparent about what is urgent versus what can wait, which makes long-term ownership planning honest and straightforward. The parts guy and his counter is efficient, knows microfiche and part supersessions cold, and can usually get obscure components within a couple of days. Overall, the operation feels like a high-volume shop in terms of capability and inventory, but with the attention to detail and personal familiarity of a small, specialist BMW-only garage. Do NOT ignore the huge selection of used bikes of EVERY MAKE that they've serviced and, many times, have rebuilt. Their inventory is ENORMOUS and their prices are below market (I am constantly amazed at their below market deals).

I'm leaving the next afternoon. I could have called Harley and paid $500 for a new rear tire , but I've had these fine folks install some tires in the past. Called Doug, and he just happens to have my size tire in stock (order that never picked up). So he gives me a great price on the tire, and even went thru my exhaust. I was in and out in 2 hours, at half the price. Jason runs a great crew over there. Highly recommend!

I've been a police motor officer and instructor for more than a decade, and have purchased multiple motorcycles over the last two decades. This is the WORST experience I've ever had. I understand purchasing a used motorcycle has its dangers, especially site unseen. I wanted to have this motorcycle sent to a certified Honda dealer for a pre-purchase inspection (on my dime, of course), but Jason said that they were a certified dealer, and reassured me that this motorcycle was 100% operable, with no mechanical defects. He sent me a few photos of some of the cosmetic deficiencies, and again assured me that the bike was in wonderful mechanical condition. Fast forward a week or so, the bike was delivered to me on a Saturday evening. I took it for its first ride Sunday, and the clutch was absolutely shot. When I'd accelerate, the bike would completely wind up to several thousand RPMs, but I was going nowhere. Dropped it off at my local trusted certified Honda shop (who I've used for 20 years). Ready for this? They said the fluids looked like they'd never been changed, and the clutch plates were fried, "burnt to a crisp" is what the service manager told me. Had to replace the fluids, the clutch, and the entire clutch hub. $2600!!! Northwest Honda started off by offering me a couple hundred dollars. After arguing back and forth over email, and being accused of not being truthful about the bike's condition (despite emailed copies of service invoices from my certified Honda dealer), I talked them up to $700. $700! A little more than a quarter of what I'm out. Please, learn from my experience. Don't purchase anything from this wicked, crooked, horrible excuse for a motorcycle dealer. When you get screwed, they won't care, and they will blame you for damage, even though it was physically impossible for you to have caused it. Run! Run far away!
