You guys, if you need to see a dentist and you live near the area (or even if you don't) please come here!! I had been having pain and extreme sensitivity on the left side, both top and bottom side for a couple of weeks now. Just the thought of seeing a dentist scared me so much because of the pain and the price (without proper dental insurance). Looked around on Yelp and saw this place had great reviews and was fairly close to my house. Nervous, I reluctantly called and made an appointment. Came in to the office and and they were super professional, friendly, extremely clean and cautious. They had hand sanitizers everywhere, plexiglass in the front desk area, designated "clean" and "used" pen holders. They also took my temperature before letting me inside the treatment area. The dentist and dental assistant we're both so kind and patient with me. Explained everything so well. I never felt pressured to get a bunch of work done. They showed me clear pictures of areas of concern and also X-rays of all my teeth. Dr. Phan was gentle and understanding of my fear of dentists. The teeth cleaning was very thorough and the filling procedure was actually pretty painless. Overall, my experience was amazing! This post is LONG overdue. Dr Chin has been my dentist for over 15+ years. I moved to the bay to be with my husband about 15 years ago and I still have family in LA. Luckily for me, I have pretty good oral hygiene so the need to see him for more than twice a year hasn't been necessary. He is extremely patient and knowledgable In his line of work. He's got the work ethics of a modern dentistry but has good work ethics. He carefully articulates what he will do and puts you at ease before he does it. This is my second time going to this office and I highly recommend them. The first visit was to get my wisdom tooth out and I stayed awake for the procedure. They were extremely courteous and always made sure to ask if I was in pain. They also provided extensive instructions on how to take care of the wound left behind. My appointment today was for a tooth cleaning and fill. The procedure was done quickly and I was in absolutely no pain which is astonishing to me as my old dentist was extremely rough in comparison. They provide pillows so you do not strain your neck and glasses to protect your eyes from the light and water splashing. Overall, I highly recommend this dentist. I'm hesitant to put 5 stars because when I read reviews I don't trust 5 star ones but this dentist deserves more than 5 stars. I would give them 6 if I could. I am not a fan of dentist like most people aren't, but Dr. Pham made me change my mind. I first went in for a teeth cleaning, which I was getting a ton of compliments afterwards and was asked what I do to whiten my teeth. I said I just got a teeth cleaning. It had to be the best teeth cleaning I've had because I don't remember my teeth being this white after one or I'd get on more often. Also I came in for a second opinion, because a previous dentist said I had seven cavities that need to be filled. I don't trust dentist too much, and I was right to trust my instinct. Dr. Pham said I only need to fill two cavities, but I did have smaller ones that if I take of over time they may reverse. It's really hard to find a honest dentist so I'm so glad I found them. So I decided to get my work done with them and I'm so glad i did! I was really nervous about the numbing shot because I remember that part hurts the worst and I'm excited to say he has a light hand! Dr. Phan is a highly trained professional who is very meticulous and gentle. He personally examines your teeth and does the through evaluation and cleaning instead of relegating to a Hygenist. He uses state-of-the-art equipment in particular their ultrasonic cleaning tool which usually bothers me but is a new generation model that did not at all. I almost fell asleep I was so relaxed. Hello, I recently lost my job and health /dental insurance. I was previously seeing Dr. Phan. I had to get dental insurance on my own and could not afford a PPO. Unfortunately Dr. Phan did not accept the HMO dental insurance that I had to get. Dr. Phan explained to me why he doesn't accept HMO insurance and it made a lot of sense. HMO's tend to treat the patients like numbers and the dentist has to run so many through per day to stay eligible. This does not give the doctor enough time to give his customers good customer service and care. The doctor and his staff really do care a lot about their patients and I've never seen him over book and waste a person's time waiting. I really appreciate that... The doctor was kind enough to still treat me and helped by giving me a very fair price that I paid with my credit card. I'm fixed up and back to smiling again. Thank you Dr. Phan and Olivia. Dr. Chin is a great doctor. He is very professional and has been taking care of my dental health for years. His partners are just as great. The officer clerks are very courteous and helpful when I have questions. They are also always on time with my appointment. Aside from their business, they are also very active with the community where the dentists volunteer at the local community colleges. I've been going to Dr. Phan at Cypress Dental Care for about a year now. He has always treated me well and his work lasts longer than other dentists I've been to. His staff is always pleasant and they treat you like family. I think the costs are very reasonable also. They have always been able to work me in and sometimes on the same day. I really appreciate that because sometimes I'm too busy to make an appointment three or four days later. If I'm free from work- I go in. I really like the fact that they do not over book and make you wait in the lobby with several other people. I've always been seated within 20 minutes and the doctor takes his time and explains everything clearly and answers my questions. I never feel rushed and pushed out the door while the next patient comes it like at some dentist offices. Great customer service!!! Dr. Binh Phan is one of the most personable dentist you will find. Everything from the initial consultation, to treatment, and repeat visits. I first came in on December 31st, 2017 and that day they were willing to take me (before the new year) because it would help with my annual dental insurance costs. This was their suggestion and they made time for me too; which I was surprised, but it was well worth it. I hadn't seen a dentist in at least 5 years but I have been back at least 3 times so far because (apparently) I need(ed) it. He has saved one tooth, fixed 3 or 4 others, and I am due back this Saturday 6/30/2018 for a root canal I think. Now, for those of you who are scared of dentists (and the associated pain, needles, and drills); don't be worried because Dr. Binh is super gentle. I don't now how he makes the shots not hurt, but mine haven't. They check your pain level during the procedures as well, and at the first sign of any "abhorrent" sensations (that you shouldn't be feeling) - they address them. Now some people are nervous about the dentist, but I'm just nervous in general, and yet they're very patient with me. When I say "they" I also mean Olivia and Kristina who assist Dr. Binh with the procedures. As long as I (as the patient) keep my appointment times; I have not had to wait more than 5 minutes (if at all), and they text & call you the day before or so. So, if you forget you can respond and confirm or adjust the appointment (within reason). I guess it really comes down to trusting any practitioner, and you can TRUST Dr. Binh Phan DDS. One thing he / they said was to wait a little bit before doing this review so that it was TRUE, from a repeat patient perspective, that would be gauged on the quality of the care received. I can tell you that quality care is hard to find, but that is what you'll receive if you go see Dr. Binh. I have hopes that he may be even able to reshape (crown) my top 4 or 6 teeth that have been worn down over the years. That may be a long shot, but Dr. Binh has an idea or two on how it may work.... read more
