I had been looking for a new dental office that actually felt right for me. A lot of places lean hard on flashy tech and buzzwords to sell you on very basic care. At Cypress Modern Smiles, they simply have everything you need and more importantly, they truly care about their patients. What really sets Cypress Modern Smiles apart is their attention to people. I originally called on a Tuesday to schedule a routine cleaning for the following week, but during that process a cracked tooth I had no idea about was discovered. After calling back, they treated it with urgency and even followed up to let me know they had a full afternoon open so I could be seen as soon as possible. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely comfortable in Dr. Nguyen's chair. Jazmine was my dental assistant and was amazing throughout the process, and Hazel also stepped in during part of my crown procedure. The entire team made the experience feel calm, smooth, and reassuring. I had seen reviews mention how painless the numbing shots were, and I honestly thought people were exaggerating. I was wrong. I genuinely had to ask Dr. Nguyen if he had already given me the shot because I felt absolutely nothing. It was the most painless dental injection I've ever had. Everything was explained clearly, I was given a solid action plan, and the pricing was fair and reasonable, especially compared to other offices I had been to in previous years. My follow-up visit for the final crown placement was just as seamless. We didn't even use numbing shots, and I still felt very minimal discomfort. Dr. Nguyen is amazing! Every other dentist I've been to, I need 3-5 numbing shots, and sometimes it still hurts a little. With Dr. Nguyen, it only took 2 shots. On top of that, the way he injects the first shot is completely painless. This is by far the best and most painless experience I've ever had with a dentist. I had a filling that fell out, and I needed to get it fixed ASAP. Every other dentist I called didn't have any availability, but Dr. Nguyen managed to schedule me in immediately and with a reasonable price. During the exam, he was communicative and very friendly. The office was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even offer a yearly plan if you don't have dental insurance. So happy I found Dr. Nguyen and his amazing staff! After one of my molars cracked during dinner one night, I found Cypress Modern Smiles through yelp & emailed them for an emergency exam. The next morning I received a prompt response asking if I was available for the emergency exam that same morning, and I was able to get x-rays & a treatment plan done just a few hours later. Dr. Nguyen was thorough in going over what procedures I should get done, but also made sure to provide me all possible options. I ultimately chose to get a root canal done with a crown to save my tooth. The whole procedure was virtually painless and I felt at ease & comfortable the entire time with Dr. Nguyen. I was on the hunt for a new dentist after not going to one for awhile, like its been years, and I had just received a new insurance. The office I was originally matched with had the lowest reviews I saw, so I knew I had to find a new place. I found this place and it was a hassle to get switched over but the team here at Cypress Modern Smiles made it so much easier. They were first of all super patient and kind during this whole process. Michelle and Karina (sorry if I am misspelling) were absolutely amazing with rescheduling and giving me tips on how to call my insurance to get everything sorted out. The actual visit was equally as amazing. The level of professionalism here is outstanding and their customer service. Dr. Nguyen was also very careful and kind during the whole visit. I had to get a deep clean done and not a fan of needles but they made sure I was comfortable and I didn't even feel most of the cleaning done. My insurance sucks so it only covers the super basic requirements but they were very transparent about their pricing and let you know before anything is done what it would cost, so that was also very helpful. Scheduling is easy, availability is great, I am in the process of getting an implant, and the the post insertion surgery was pretty easy, minimal pain and swelling, really only hurt the first day (tender for a few more days, but not painful). From Michelle to Carina to Dr. Nguyen, to the other team members (who's names are escaping me), everyone is friendly, caring and fantastic! Forgot to mention this: If you are considering gum line fillings to combat sensitivity due to recession or overly aggressive brushing, DO IT! Dr. Nguyen is extremely kind and gentle and I feel very at ease when I am in the chair. i took my grandson for a checkup, and they said he had 8 cavities, and the cost would be $1,200.00 based on my insurance that meant every cavity and at least 3 surfaces. I found that odd, so i switched providers. Took my grandson to the new dentist, they said he had 2 cavities, 1 surface each, $120.00. it's very sad that we can't trust the people we depend on to keep us healthy. read more

Even before my appointment, Alejandra was so helpful in making sure my insurance covered the X-Rays and cleanings for me and my daughter. There was literally no wait when we arrived, just had to fill out a super quick form and Dr. Nguyen got started on my daughter. She loved that they put on one of her favorite TV shows while they cleaned her teeth, and I didn't mind catching the end of the basketball game during my turn. A couple weeks ago, i got a piece of food stuck in my gum. My normal dentist is closed Friday- Sunday, so I figured I'd just tough it out until Monday. By Saturday, my gum was noticeably swollen and sore, and I quickly went to yelp to find a dentist open on the weekend. Thankfully I wound up here! Dr. Nguyen and his staff were the best! They made time for me and saw me that day AND removed the evil piece of tortilla chip stuck in my teeth the same day. Not only were they incredibly competent, but they were also kind.
