Exquisite fine dining, excellent food and service! My husband and I decided on a last minute date night and being new to the area choose to try out Cyra's. What a wonderful surprise! Five-star dining hidden in Dalton, GA. We started with a calamari and a lamb meatballs appetizers which were amazing. My husband had the Korean Rib-eye with bok-choy & broccolini, I had Halibut with bok -choy , giant couscous lemon creme fraiche. Entrees came with a fresh garden salad the homemade lemon vinaigrette was perfect. We shared the flourless chocolate cake which was exceptionally delectable! My husband and I stopped in here on our anniversary after hiking the George Disney trail (not for beginning hikers... trust me). It was mid-afternoon and we had worked up an appetite. We consulted Yelp and chose this restaurant based on its reviews as well as its menu. We called ahead to make sure they offered dine in because we wanted somewhere special to have lunch that day. When we arrived (due to the time), we were the only ones in the restaurant. We were seated immediately. As we were perusing the menu, we asked if they could make a Peach mule and thankfully they could. The Peach mule was a generous size that we shared and was so great tasting. We order lots of mules with our dinners when we go out and this one was definitely one of the best we have had. I decided to order the squash and chick pea medley (lunch $14). My husband ordered the flounder dish with risotto. While we were waiting for our food, our waitress checked on us and we struck up a conversation about the lovely paintings around the town and in the restaurant. We were not from the area so did not know that Dalton has so many artistic people there (apparently there is some kind of art center located there). At any rate, she shared some locations of other murals around the town. Soon our meals came out and the presentation was so beautiful. We both dove into our dishes and may not have said a single word to one another until we were done... ha ha. The food was spectacular. My dish had a great blend of spices so it definitely was not bland at all. Many think veggie dishes are bland tasting... not if the chef takes care to create flavorful veggie dishes and clearly this one did. There was just enough spice to make this dish flavorful without being too spicy. I have to admit that I did not taste any curry in the curried vegan toast but it still was good and might have been too much if I could have tasted the curry. Bottom line... I would order this dish again. It was a winner for me. My husband's dish came with a good portion of risotto and a piece of blackened flounder over the top of it. He enjoyed it very much. I do not think I would have cared for the oil that was floating around the risotto but he did not mention it being overbearing for the dish. He said the flounder was tasty. I am not sure this was enough food for him, though, so keep that in mind. Granted it was a lunch portion but I feel like it would have been better with a vegetable served with it. We normally do not order dessert and I was honestly full from my dish but my husband wanted the cookie with homemade ice cream. Well, goodness, when it was delivered it was actually basically a cookie pie (think a giant cookie cooked in a small cast iron skillet) with ice cream on the side. He mainly wanted the homemade ice cream (this may have been a test of my will power... and I failed terribly). The chocolate chip cookie was delivered warm and soft in the center. While my husband picked around the outside, somewhat crunchy part of the cookie, he asked me to help him with the center. OMG... heaven on a spoon. Warm, deliciously cooked chocolate chip cookie was worth EVERY. SINGLE. CALORIE. We have to live a little, right? The restaurant has a really cute courtyard area outside that would be wonderful to eat in when the weather gets cooler. The inside is upscale yet has some warmth to it. The waitress was wonderful and the food was amazing. Bottom line... highly recommend for lunch. If we travel back to Dalton, we will be returning here. read more

Really nice space. Service was pleasant. I was fishing for recommendations on the drink menu, but the young girl didn't seem interested or maybe capable. Fried green tomato special was tasty. Had the NY strip and it was cooked competently and tasted good, but could have been a little thicker for a high end place, but was priced appropriately for the cut. Potatoes gratin side was very good. Was just passing through and was told this was the only good restaurant in Dalton. Don't know if that's true, but it was good. read more

We've eaten at Cyra's 5 times since moving to Dalton last year. I tell people it's the best restaurant in Dalton. The food is always good and moderately priced. Service has been good each visit. We love dining in the lounge area as it has a more intimate feel. We will definitely return. read more

Just a step above casual dining. The ambience is awesome and the service is second to none. They typically have very good "chefy food" like a fine dining restaurant should, but they also have great burgers and chicken sandwich. Did I say chicken sandwich? There are very few 5 star restaurants out there, but this is definitely one. Was there with a large business group so I was able to get many opinions on many different menu items, and try quite a few. The must have app is the Avocado fries. Yes, lightly fried avocado strips. I have no idea how they did it and kept them from becoming mush, but they were perfect. I would eat these before french fries any day of the week. For the entre I had the Lobster Risotto. It was incredibly rich and hearty. Could have used a little bit of acid to break it up, but that would be nit picking. It was amazing. Unfortunately I ate more than I should have and could not fit in desert, but from what the rest of our group said it was delicious. I hope to be back to this place very soon. read more

Stopped here with my husband while traveling after reading the lovely reviews and we had a wonderful dinner. The fondue was delicious. I enjoy that it was served with breads (sliced baguette and naan) and vegetables. My only complaint is that I wish the bread had been cut into slightly thicker strips. The house salad was standard (mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumber, and crumbled feta), but well executed. The standout for us was the warm bacon dressing. My husband ordered the Big Easy shrimp and said that although the shrimp were slightly over cooked, the mashed potatoes and the Cajun sauce were excellent. I ordered the Lobster Scampi and it was delectable. A whole lobster tail which was perfectly cooked- tender and sweet- served over pasta and veggies. The sauce was perfectly emulsified and did not overpower the delicate lobster. Make sure to save room for dessert as each option sounded amazing. We had the flourless chocolate cake and it was good. I have some mixed feelings about my first experience, but 4 is representative of the quality in Dalton. Dalton's food scene is horrible and this is a bright spot. My steak was not cooked evenly. I don't know what surface they cook on, but I had over and under in some areas. The taste was still good so I ate it. The risotto is nice. The balsamic dressing is thick, but damn it's good! Wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner. It was excellent! Our server Sophie did an excellent job. She was attentive and helpful. The food was great. We got the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. Which were excellent. Fried up something proper and top with some goat cheesy goodness. There was a nice sauce on the side as well. I should have looked at their salads, because the side salad with the house bacon hot honey mustard dressing was out of this world good. It sent my taste buds into orbit and they still haven't landed on earth yet. I got the Caribbean Pork (which was a special). All of it was great. Pork was well seasoned tender, and moist. You won't be getting any tough and dry meat here! The mashed potatoes were mashed with care and love. Season great. The zucchini spears were good as well. And the pork was topped with chutney. I don't think I've had chutney before but it added heat, texture, and flavor all my pork. My wife the sirloin steak. Everything was great as well. They gave us a nice hand written card with some cookies for our anniversary as well! While not somewhere we well visit often, we will definitely be coming back to Cyra's in the future. Ate here twice in two days with a group of people and enjoyed both times. I had the jambalaya one night and seafood Mac and cheese the second night (it was a special they were trying that night). The Mac and Cheese was OK, but was a bit to much Mac and Cheese by itself. The Jambalaya on the other hand was wonderful. I would definitely recommend that. There were many other things in the group that people ordered and everyone liked what they ordered. The place was always busy and looked like mostly business people. It is certainly a bit more upscale than other places in Dalton and nice to have the option in the downtown area. read more

My first visit. Was greeted at the door by the chef. Very nice environment with paintings by a local artist. I had the lobster bisque, which I make at home and am critical when trying it in a restaurant. It was very good and had just a dash of nutmeg to make it extra special. This is some of the best food I have had we were very well taken care of and even though there was one review where they where talking about the food was salmonella (which isn't true) also I like that there is no dress code we had just came form a robotics competition and they still seated us. the dynamic of the restaurant was also amazing and the customer service is by far the best I've had. 10 out 10 would recommend. read more

This restaurant is in my hometown of Dalton, GA. After being away for 30 years, I have been trying to get back to town at least once a year for some reminiscing with my friends. There is a group of us who have gone to Cyra's for a special dinner when I am in town. They have been great about seating arrangements for 10 people who want a nice place to eat, drink, and go over "the old days" one more time. We were not rushed, the food was amazing and I discovered Praline Pecan Bourbon! WOW! If you haven't been, you must go. Not cheap, but worth it! read more

Traveling long distance and craving a proper delicious and healthier meal. The downtown area of Dalton was quite sweet and clean. The restaurant atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service was absolutely top notch even though we arrived an hour before close and stayed after close. Avocado fries are a must. Tuna was perfectly cooked. Salads were delicious and the French onion soup was fantastic! Food is stellar, service and atmosphere match. We would go out of our way in our future travels just to eat here! We went for dinner tonight hoping that we'd have a very enjoyable evening but it did not turn out that way. We sat in a second table center in from the door and the air-conditioning was blowing so hard it was moving my napkin on the table. I asked the waitress if we could just move our seats since the whole restaurant was empty and said The manager told me to tell you that we cannot move your your seat. I ordered two ribeye steaks and I knew by the time they put it on the table they were going to be ice cold from the freezing cold breeze blowing out of the ceiling. So I left a $10 bill on the table for my ice tea and walked out! With this place needs a new manager that can't afford to lose customers for no reason! read more

What a gem of a find in Dalton! On our way to Florida I searched and found this spot. Definitely will try and come back. My husband and I were eating light that night and ordered a few appetizers. Avocado fries fried green tomatoes and the grilled Caesar salad. Everything was so good!! Oh and she brought us some wonderful bread with a pesto olive oil to die for! My husband wanted to satisfy his sweet tooth and had the pumpkin cheesecake...it did not disappoint. I can't say enough great things about this restaurant. Best restaurant in Dalton IMO. I've been to town a few dozen times and after my second experience at Cyra's with a customer I have to give some praise. Service for lunch is fast, although still rather upscale. The avocado fries and fried green tomatoes are great shareable options with tasty sauces on the side. Neither has too much breading, which I appreciate. Last time I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. This week I had the root veggie salad with grilled chicken and it was outstanding. The kitchen forgot the chicken but the server noticed it immediately and course-corrected. The menu has something for everybody, vegetarians included. I love the iPad checkout where a digital receipt is sent to my email, you have traveling salespeople's hearts with that! The bathrooms smell like my neighborhood pool growing up, maybe because the facility is old and the chlorine bleach stands out? I remembered it from the first time I visited as soon as I started walking to the bathroom, that's not a good sign. Not the end of the world, but maybe worth trying a different cleaner or light a candle so it doesn't ruin someone's meal. I'll gladly be back. read more

While traveling from Florida to Ohio, we were looking for a place to eat that would offer outdoor dining and allow us to bring our dog. We found Cyra's through Yelp, and were very pleasantly surprised! We pulled up to the outdoor seating area...a lovely patio enclosed with an iron arched gate, complete with a fountain surrounded with flowers and several outdoor iron tables covered with white tablecloths. I immediately pictured a garden party/wedding! The restaurant appeared full inside and out, but we were quickly seated. The staff made us feel more like friends than guests. Now for the food...I ordered a half portion of the warm spinach and bacon salad and an angus burger with fontina cheese. Amazing! Both the salad and the burger were far above any I have had previously. We ordered two plain burgers/no seasoning for our pup, and Archie obviously agreed they were a hit. (The owner teased that he might be responsible if our dog turned up missing). This restaurant turned out to be a rare gem in a small town. I didn't even mention the whiskey bar next to the patio, under the same ownership. One last thing to mention...on our way back home to Florida, just 5 days later, we returned to Cyra's.
