This place has a ton of amazing events throughout each season! That being said they also get fairly busy, and may run out of some cocktails early in the evening, so get there early. The day we came they said there was supposed to be a taco truck all night for the event, but the taco truck was gone before we arrived; which was before 9:30. They were also completely out of all the blood bags, and when the event goes on for an additional 3 hours, it kinda sucks to be out of 3 cocktails before 10. They also ran out of the jello SHOTS in the syringes and you are NOT allowed to keep the novelty shot glasses (just a little misleading on the menu). I think the inside is really great for the decorations and they have both indoor and outdoor space. I think they have a great menu, a full bar along with the in house ciders, but I think their events are the best time to go. read more

Super busy when we arrived at Urban Tree which meant that the parking lot was almost full. Inside, most of the seats were busy but I managed to grab one while my friend stood at the counter and bought the first round. It was busy as it was the POG release party. I chose the POG blue hawaiian boozy slushie and it was delicious. Served in a plastic glass, it was not too sweet but packed with a pretty good punch. Pretty nice Christmas bar! There are plenty of drink options at this place from hot drinks to cold drinks and ciders. I really loved the blueberry cider that I got if you're looking for a drink that doesn't taste like alcohol this is perfect! The service is super friendly. When you check in, you get a 10% off option and while the bar tender was unfamiliar with the coupon, she took time to find a supervisor and apply the coupon. I saw an ad on Facebook for cider and donut tasting with pickup; it sounded so fun and interesting that I couldn't resist! This was a great experience. You get 4 ciders with 4 complementary mini donuts. Super cute. When I arrived the staff already had the prepackaged kits outside ready to handoff. Both staff members we encountered were friendly, helpful and kind. They even spoke to my daughter in the backseat. I broke my goodies out at home to enjoy while relaxing and I was impressed! The ciders are amazing and were matched well with the donut flavors. There was a handy guide on top of the donut package so there was no confusion on which donut belonged with which cider. Came here with my friend on 10/13 which happened to be Friday the 13th and the first day of the Halloween decor! We arrived around 5:30 and were so glad we got there that early, there was only 1 table open for us and after we arrived, it started to get packed and only got busier. Such a cute spot. Went here last night as they were having a holiday pop-up bar. I thought it would be really busy for a Saturday night, but there were actually plenty of tables available. The parking lot was pretty full, but we managed to find a spot in the back. The bartenders were very nice and accommodating. There was a selection of mocktails available and I ended up getting a hot chocolate, which I absolutely loved. The hot cocoa is made to order so it takes a few min to get ready but it's worth it! the decorations were absolutely lovely and really got us in the holiday spirit! The only recommendation I have is that the stools should either be a little lower or the tables should be higher. I could tell that the bar stools were not a good fit for the tables because I was sitting up pretty high above the table which is not always the most comfortable! read more

I've had Urban Tree Cider a few times but stopped in for the first time this weekend. From the outside, aside from the cars in the parking lot, I thought the place might be closed. However, upon opening the doors, inside was lively and we were greeted by a hulking but friendly security guard who asked to check our IDs. Once everything was deemed in order, we spoke with the bartender who was a friendly and mild-mannered gentleman, informing us about each of the cider flight options as well as their selection of cocktails and beers. I appreciated that they had something for everybody. We ordered our first flight (we would try all three) and headed outside to grab a table. There is ample seating both indoors and outdoors, but the outdoor tables are next to the busy road, so the scenery isn't as pleasant as you'd want. However, the ciders are incredibly pleasant, so no worries :) We were enjoying each drink, one by one, until we reached the three that cemented our future trajectory as regular customers: the Sweet Heat Haze, Wild On Cherry, and Orange U an IPA. WOW! The sweet heat haze gets a slight heat from the ginger. The wild on cherry is made with cherry juice and is sweet and slightly tart, and the orange u an IPA is bright and bursting with orange juice flavor. Again, wow. On the way out, we looked at buying cans of these to go, and lo and behold, their variety 12-pack features these three flavors, plus the Harvest Apple! That, and it was only $19...we would have paid much more. They do not serve food, but have light snacks for sale like bags of pretzels. We also saw a friendly pup inside, so I'm assuming your pooch is welcome. 5/5, mostly for the amazing ciders, but also for the service, menu variety, and outdoor seating with umbrellas. read more

In order from favorite to least favorite I liked blueberry, cherry, sweet heat, apple. All of them were tasty though! They have tons of board games to play and a good indoor/outdoor seating area. But all the drinks were premade, and average at best. Seating was tight, drinks were also expensive around $15 a drink. We went on a Wednesday music bingo night, which was very fun. The announcer was quiet and hard to find and the bingo itself was hard to hear due to loud talking. I would only go here. I've stopped in for a drink a few times. They have all their ciders on tap and are happy to let you taste or create a flight. Their ciders are all high quality. I brew my own at home and they have some unique flavors that I wouldn't think to combine. You can buy some of their ciders in store, but not all of them. Every time I've been the staff has been happy, helpful, informed, and informative. Its never felt pretentious. They have some limited tap room hours, but often host special events. The interior is a lot of dark wood and dark metal, and you can see the production room through a plexiglass wall. What can I say, Urban Tree Cidery is a pretty cool place, and if I lived closer I'm sure I'd be getting my apple a day in. While I'm definitely more of a beer drinker, the main reason I avoid commercial ciders is that they are overly sweet, and seem more like something I would have bought with a fake ID when I was 18 along with my Boones Farm Strawberry Hill wine. Urban Tree Cidery does a great job offering a variety of ciders which deliver real cider taste. If you think all ciders are created equal, try a couple of the flights here and you will really appreciate the differences between them, ranging from sweet, dry, subtle, complex, and fruity. My favorite is probably the Cidra Urbana, a dry cider which reminds me of the ciders my Cuban Family would enjoy around all the holidays. My first visit to UTC was with a friend for the release of their OPP, A pineapple cider, reminiscent of Mexican tepache, and also still a favorite of mine. The barrel aged is a juicy, balanced deceptively easy to drink "apple juice" with a super clean taste. The original and classic are also great choices, far superior to the usual cider options at regular bars. Not all of the ciders are awesome to me, but that is more a matter of taste and preference, not quality or craftsmanship. The place itself is casual, industrial, and dog friendly. It's bring your own food, and there may be food trucks available as well. Now I'm in the mood for a cider... Got to keep that doctor away. read more

I love a good cider so I was excited to visit a place that they were the focus! Personally, I am more of a sweet cider fan and most of their ciders are dry so this may not have been a homerun for me BUT I still can tell they are crafted carefully, with the specific flavors in mind in which they did hit those points. We had a flight of the Seasonal and Orchard options to maximize our experience and by far the Wild Buzz was the best. I was sad to see they didn't have that available to take home unless your purchased a full growler, which would have been more than I wanted to spend. I celebrated my birthday here, and they made it great from beginning to end. Everything went smoothly. They communicated and replied promptly, they helped keep me apprised of the end time for the other party that was there before my party, we were able to enjoy a fairly "private" feel to the place on a Saturday afternoon, and the ciders and non-alcoholic sours were delicious. I think our group loved the ginger sour (?) and the blueberry apple cider. All in all, it was a cute, chill vibe there and everyone was very nice. We decided to take the tour and I was shocked at how small the production side was but Tim was very educational and friendly. The tour is free too which was a nice surprise. We ordered both flights each. Fyi, the flight portions are huge and can easily be shared. There are 4 flavors per flight but 10 total, so the bartender was nice enough to give us the remaining two flavors free. I found some exceptional flavors that I would definitely love to drink again. Breweries seem to be popping up all over metro Atlanta, but what I haven't seen is any cideries. So of course, when you do find one, you must visit as soon as possible. My friend and I came on a Saturday afternoon and it was super chill. I feel like many brewery tours are limited to a few hours and I'm just chugging my beers and trying to use up all my drink tickets before last call. Urban Tree Cidery is unique in being able to just chill in the main room at one of the many tables, with some board games to choose from or a tv showing some college football to watch. You can order cider flights, cider cocktails or just pints of cider. We started off with some cider cocktails, with an order of the Kirkwood, which was a gin cocktail. They were DELISH. They were pretty light and sweet and tasty but strong all at the same time. If you have the time or the designated driver, make sure to give some of these cocktails a try. We also wanted to try the various ciders on tap so my friend and I each ordered our own flights. Maybe I'm a simple person but I tended to prefer the classic ciders versus the complex flavors of ginger or floral additions. Urban Tree Cidery is definitely my idea of a good time when looking for a chill boozy time. Other products sold are from local brands like 1821. They're also very chill. I held a networking event here for 20 which was great for people to mix and mingle on a Thursday evening. Only challenge is the lot appears to fill up by 630. Would be great if they had food or food trucks. But they do let you bring your own food or balloons or whatever you want.
