The timing chain broke, the motor irreparable. A 3rd party repair shop determined that the motor showed recent repairs to the valves and pistons. When I contacted Joe at Car EZ there was no recourse. No warranty, no compensation, no offer to incur any expenses to bring the car to his shop to evaluate. He did gesture a break on labor for repairs. After discovering that the motor had been damaged and repaired and being told that the original motor was intact I decided to forgo any further dealings with Car EZ... I can't help but to feel cheated and taken advantage of. I am left with a $3500 debt to replace the motor with no financial reimbursement from Car EZ Motor. Stay clear, or get burned.

I'm 18 years old and was interested in buying a truck they had for sale at 701 S Main St, Santa Ana, CA 92701. The truck had around 180,000 miles and a bad transmission, which Manny told me would be repaired before I picked it up the following weekend. I got approved for financing and sent a $500 deposit, with the plan to finish the paperwork and pay the rest of my down payment when I picked up the truck. The next day, after thinking it over, I decided I didn't want to move forward because I felt I was paying too much for a truck with that mileage and a transmission that still needed to be repaired. I called Manny and told him I wanted to cancel everything and get my $500 deposit back. He told me the loan had already been funded and claimed I had signed the contract. I never signed any paperwork or electronically signed any documents, so I disputed that. He also told me my $500 would not be refunded because it was being kept as a cancellation fee. After that, he stopped answering my calls. About a week later, I received a call from the bank saying the loan had not been canceled and that I was expected to make payments on a truck I never took possession of. On 07/12/26, we went back to the dealership, and Manny told us he would refund my $500 by 3:00 PM on 07/13/26. That time came and went, I never received my money, and he stopped answering my calls.
