We had scheduled an appointment to fix our freezer through Whirlpool for a specific date and time. 3 hours later we received a phone call from Vanessa saying that they needed to change our appointment 3 weeks later from the original scheduled date. When we pushed for an explanation and told her that 3 weeks out doesn't work for us, she said "fine" and hung up on us. A call back revealed that she canceled the service request/order. I asked to be transferred to the office manager, Mike, he told me that Vanessa didn't like our tone of questioning, and then hung up on me. Our ice maker stopped working, our refrigerator was just out of warranty. In December we paid the fee to have a technician come out. He diagnosed the problem. We waited for the part to come in. He came back a few weeks later with the wrong part. When putting the dysfunctional ice maker assembly back he violently shook my fridge, the assembly should slide in. I wish I had taken a video. He came back a few weeks later with the correct part, left behind the old parts and a mess to be swept up. This was in mid January. AND then my ice maker stopped working properly again. I have been busy at work and just today had a chance to call. I was told we would have to pay another service charge to have him come out again. It is a shame they won't stand behind their work. Absolutely disgusted in this company. The way that their "supervisor", Nancy just handled my issue was completely unprofessional and out of line. I had spoken with someone a week ago in regard to an appointment to have my appliance taken care of. Nobody showed, and when nobody showed I called. They told me that there was no documentation of any appointment today. I explained to her as well that I have a ton of laundry to do and was depending on this appointment today to get this service done. Now I have to pay to bring my families clothes to the laundromat because of someone on THEIR end messing up. The least they could've done was offer compensation. Nancy was extremely rude to me and essentially called me a liar, saying that I spoke with nobody. She hung up on me after she proceeded to argue with me over my issue and I had called back twice. She then told me she spoke with the owner, Sam, and supposedly he said that he would press charges against me for "harassment" (when I called back twice). WHAT A WAY TO DO BUSINESS! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. STAY AWAY! *Maybe if your company focused more on improving your customer service end and not replying to negative YET valid reviews, you'd get less terrible reviews. I wish I read these reviews before I scheduled an appointment to service my refrigerator. The technician was late and unable to fix my refrigerator. The technician assured that me that I would not be charged due to the the inability to fix the problem. The technician called the office to explain why the refrigerator could not be serviced and the person on the other end of the line agreed to no charge. However, within 2 days $150 was deducted from my account. Despite multiple calls to get reimbursed, the $150 charge remained. On September 30th, D&S installed a new condenser in my refrigerator. It was a warranty item, and they were working in my behalf of the manufacturer. On November 22nd, my refrigerator stopped working and I placed a phone call to D&S. Since it was in the evening, I left a message on their voicemail and requested a return call the following morning. It is now fifty days without a return phone call. Fortunately, I was able to make other arrangements and I wouldn't recommend their service. read more

The owner is insane. Avoid D&S for your appliance repair. D&S is a Whirlpool/Kitchenaid authorized warranty repair contractor. I need service on my Kitchenaid refrigerator which is still under warranty for parts but not for labor. Kitchenaid Customer Service directed me to D&S who advised they wouldn't do the repair because only the parts were covered. I replied, of course I will pay for the labor portion personally ... to which they declined! They added that my town isn't serviced by them even though Whirlpool/Kitchenaid shows them as covering my zip code! Apparently, my money is "different" than money paid by Whirlpool as there is NO LOGICAL EXPLANATION for them declining my offer to pay for labor!! I'm now stuck with a 5 year old $3,000 French Door Kitchenaid fridge that doesn't cool and I have no other options for getting this repair done as Kitchenaid says D&S and one other (who don't answer their phones) are their only authorized warranty repair partners in my area of MA. I will now post this unprofessional and insane scenario on various social media to assure the fools at D&S will lose business for the illogical way they handled my repair request. Needed to replace a Door Latch on a fairly New Whirlpool Washing machine....for 15 Minutes of Work we were charged $372.80....Yes for 15 Minutes of work...$169.00 Service Charge...where in the past in which we had service on three other Occasions the Labor would come out of the service Charge....So an additional Labor charge of $50.00 was included...$154.16 for a plastic coated door latch in which we could of bought on line for a great deal less....and We could of installed ourselves...2 Screws to put in place on front of Washer...Sales tax..$9.64....The worse thing is Service guy (Wayne) left without checking anything else especially the drain hose that was NOT put back in the drainage hold...My Wife did a large load of clothes...went to the Market and came Home to find a disaster ...Water spewed all over our Hardwood Floors...stink...smell etc..was sickening...and after wiping...scooping up and cleaning Water...Soap detergent etc.etc...Our hardwood Floors were stained!! I personally called Office to get invoice which was finally sent almost a week later...spoke to Jess...Mike who were to Speak to the Owner to get or recieve a Credit for faulty Workmenship!! After e-mails and messages left...To this Day NO ONE especially the Owner has NOT contacted us to apologize or Credit our Account!! What a miserable place to even try and do business with. They want to charge you $169 to just come out and diagnose what's wrong with your appliance. On top of that because "it is company policy", they want a credit card on file and on hold before they even come out. So let's say you pay the $169, and then what? Another $250 for a belt for parts and labor? A new dryer is another $100 on top of that. They doubled their service call prices basically overnight. They want your personal financial information before they even come out to take a look. When you ask them what the need is for them holding on to your credit card, the only answer you get is "it's company policy". Well, guess what? Your policy sucks. I'm glad we decided to cancel our request for service and glad that I saw how many other people are disappointed and unsatisfied with their customer service, work, and prices. Just so you know, there are literally dozens of other appliance service companies out there with prices much lower than these guys, with track records and testimonials of good service and customer service, and with a lot less attitude. If you want to continue to stay in business, I highly suggest you change your company to be more in line with the others. Don't even bother with them. I had a terrible recent experience with D&S appliance and can't even speak to how well they fix appliances because they failed to show up TWO DAYS in a row. Our fridge broke, we placed a service call with our refrigerator company who told us D&S would be coming the next day between noon and 5pm. No one shows up, I called customer service and she tells me she doesn't have any way of calling the repair folks and can simply leave them a message and ask them to call me when they can. They never called, they never showed. I called customer service again, she repeated the message that she had no way of getting in touch with the people out on repairs. So instead, we rescheduled for the next day, waited all day from 12pm to 5pm again. I called several times throughout the day to confirm they were coming and to ask where they were, and was never able to talk to anyone. If I could give negative stars I would. A complete nightmare. I made an appt through Lowes extended warranty Dept on Sunday. The appt was for Monday (8am-12pm) window. On Monday I waited until Noon then called D&S. The lady stated that I was not on the schedule. I informed her that I made the appt though Lowe's. She said that happens and said I would need to reschedule (Really? Another wasted day and lost day of wages). I then made an appt for Wednesday with a 12-4pm window. I called an hour before to ensure he was coming. The lady stated I was the first appt in the afternoon. Well, fast forward to 2:30pm and I call again . I speak to the same lady who then puts me on hold to check the technician's status. She then tells me he won't be there until 3:30p. At this point I am so infuriated but keep my cool. I stated all I need is the latch for the Drier door which I could put fix. She then puts me on hold to talk to the technician about my situation. 5 minutes later she gets back on the phone with me to state the appointment will be cancelled. (Are you kidding me?)... She stated that the technician does not have the part and now it will take 2 days to order and receive this part.(Thanks alot for wasting 2 of my days that I could be working without any care. I filed for service through my Whirlpool Extended Service plan 8 weeks ago and unfortunately was assigned D and S to fix my dishwasher. I had two appointments with this company that I took time out of work to be home for and they did not show up. After the third appointment they finally showed up and they told us that it would take a week for the part. After a few weeks my husband called and spoke to Sam, the owner, who promised our dishwasher would be fixed within a few days. After a week, I called inquiring about the parts and his promise to have the dishwasher fixed, Sam never returned our calls , so I left a negative review on Facebook. After seeing the review the owner Sam called me like a maniac screaming at me telling me they would not service the dishwasher going forward.(a sign of a poor company who can not accept negative feedback). Last week they called to tell me the parts are in and will fix the dishwasher this week. Sam e mailed me today , the day before I was scheduled for service and said "not servicing your dishwasher, cancelling your appointment" If this is not poor business I don't know what is!! If I could give negative stars I would, I would not call this company if they were the last one left! Do not even consider using this company, You will be much better off taking the $169 "Flat Fee" service charge, and using that to invest in a new appliance. One of the owners, Sam, provided me with the worst customer service experience in my 30 years as a homeowner. The end result is that I paid this company a total of $408 for (2) service calls to replace a failed compressor in a refrigerator. It worked for 2 weeks and then started the exact same trouble symptoms. Although the manufacturer was willing to cover parts, my experience with this company was so bad, that I do not want them in my house, or even on the phone. I choose to purchase a new $900 refrigerator and walk away from this company. I will report to BBB though. We had a compressor replaced on our fridge and after months of issues, lost food and repeat service calls they said it needs another compressor? The compressor is covered under warranty this time but not their labor after 30 days. Even with continued service calls during that time period. Not sure why they couldn't have come up with that diagnosis the first time. No guarantees after they "fix" it. I wont give them another dime and wish I never did. The result is the same. The service man that came to my house was RUDE! and pissed off right from the start because I didn't open and check the doors that were ordered for my refrigerator for damage before his arrival. He was here for about ten mintues, Installed the refrigerator side door because this was the easy one. Took one look at the freezer door with icemaker and water filter and clamed it was broken. Never attempted to install it and check. It didn't have any physical damage that i could see. He was short and in a rush from the moment he got here that i am left to believe he just didn't want to install the door because he know its a bit complicated as do i because i installed the first one! He then went to say he will just order a new one and i could just hold onto it and install it myself when needed because my door wasnt that bad! I filed for service under my Lowe's Protection Plan and was assigned Wayne as the service tech. He was great as well as all of the staff - Jessica, Nancy and Sam. Did it take longer than it should have - yes. BUT - it was for issues beyond their control. Put in a new compressor only to find it was defective and had to be replaced again. With COVID everything was back ordered and it took a while for it to come in. Sam got on the phone with whirlpool to find a way to get the part sooner. Finally it came in. They called Wednesday before Labor Day to say the part was here and by Friday it was in and working. read more

D&S appliance service came out to fix our Washer through the Lowes warranty service. The washer was taking a long time to clean and had trouble spinning up the spin cycle. Things started off ok, they came out looked at the washer and ordered a new drum, basket and shocks. When the parts came in, they came out and replace all of these parts. While fixing the washer they managed to scratch our brand new hardwood flooring and the washer is now slowly leaking. They came out again to blame the hoses (which they installed after the replacement) and then later on they blamed the design of our brand new house on the leak. They declined to come out again to fix the leaks and claimed Lowes was not letting them. (I think they did not want to come out because it was a 70 minute drive to get to our house) Lowes then reached out to them about the scratched floors and their insurance denied our claim as they stated that D&S used a protective blanked and there was no way they scratch our flooring - another lie as we even had a conversation with them about the scratches which they wanted to fix with a floor polish. So overall, very incompetent company, with very rude employees. My washer is now worse than it was before and I will be out $900.00 to fix my 3 month old flooring. No updates from D&S as they are denying doing anything wrong at all. James read more

The excitement of finding a cheap scratch and dent freezer was soon lost upon learning that the unit would not freeze. Immediately contacted Whirlpool manufacturer who set us up with D&S appliance in Franklin Mass., for warranty service. The technician (Angel) evaluated freezer as needing a new compressor and would check availability and reassured us that with in a few days he would be back to facilitate repairs. We were contacted by Nancy who we had been communicating with and an appointment set up for repair. Angel returned at the time stated and repaired unit which has been performing as it should. My KitchenAid dishwasher had a electrical fire. It was awful, KitchenAid offered to repair or replace free of charge (as they should). They tell me they have a certified vender to fix it, D/S appliance repair. . They make the appointment with me and call back to reschedule due to part not coming in. I'm told they want to make sure hey have everything they need to fix it. . They come to fix it with parts they say they have only they ordered the wrong part so we reschedule again. Strike one! . I get another phone call to tell me we need to reschedule again due to part not coming in. Ok we reschedule... Strike two! . I get a call telling me part is in but they can't come until The following week... NOT HAVING IT! So they tell me they can squeeze me in for Friday. . It's Friday and guess what? He comes here and STILL NO PART!!! SO WHY COME IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE PART!!! STRIKE THREE!!! Called KitchenAid and expressed how unhappy I am with the service or lack of that I received from D/S. I told them I did not want to deal with D/S and they will know be the middleman and get it fixed or supply me with a new dishwasher! The only good thing D/S has going for them is a very nice and polite serviceman named Nate. This company has the worst customer service I have ever seen, I would NEVER recommend this company!!! Service was late. When he did arrive to fix my washing machine, he was rushed - walked up to the washing machine...pushed on both sides and said the problem was the floor. He refused to fix the washing machine and said the floor was the problem. When I called to inform them this washing machine had been installed for 10 years on this same floor/carpet...they stood by the diagnosis of their tech and basically told me to PAY again by asking for another opinion. Nancy at the D&S office called me and said they'd order and send the new drum to my house and to call back and schedule the appointment when it arrived. Mark, our technician was arrogant, rude, and inefficient. For $159 he diagnosed our ice maker with an issue it didn't have. $72 dollars later and TWO scheduled appointments that were missed, we still didn't have an ice maker. They tried to hit us for another $40 for another part and refused to pay for it. Two weeks after that and one more missed appointment by Mark, we finally have a functioning ice maker. $250+, 3 missed appointments, and 27 days of bagged ice, you get one star. Worst experience ..... Warranty company sent D&S to service my microwave back in Feb. Tech had to come back three time ... once to replace door and then after shearing off the screw then again to order and get the "special screw". Mind you the issue was the control panel but opted to replace entire door. Fast forward to Nov. Control panel dies again. New Tech says door need to be replaced then report that it was due to consumer abuse when it actually was the incompetent first repair. Customer Service was horrible, not willing to address the issue of inaccurate diagnosis. Will never do business with this company again!!
