We started using Yale Appliance when a friend recommended them, and we learned their prices are as good as the big box stores. Their sales people are knowledgeable AND not pushy, delivery and installation is fast, and they stand behind their appliance with great service! We had scheduled a repair call for today on our 2 year old Yale Range hood. First, two days ago, they narrowed the service window to noon-to-2pm. Today, they texted at 7:57 am to confirm our tech is Mike, that we were his 4th call, and they expected he would arrive at about 12:30. As the morning progressed, they updated the time to 12:45. Low and behold, Mike arrived at 12:42 and was finished by 1:05. Beautiful showroom with premium brand appliances as well as brands for the masses. You would think a high-end store like this would have employees who treat potential customers with patience and respect but that was not my experience with Jason. On my first visit, Jason answered basic questions about a fridge I specifically wanted to buy. However, I had a harder time deciding on a dishwasher. Although he knew I couldn't decide on one, he put pressure on me to build a profile in their files so that they know which appliances I'm considering. In other word, he's ensuring he gets the commission when I return. I'm not comfortable giving my name and address to be in any store's database unless if I'm ready to buy, so I declined to give my info. After doing more research on my own and narrowing it down between 2 models, I went back a week later and waited 30 minutes for Jason to finish with another customer. My first question was how does one of the dishwashers I'm looking at clean drinking glasses on the top 3rd rack if it's placed almost horizontally as Kitchenaid's ad showed, but he became annoyed right away and said he didn't know and told me to call Kitchenaid's customer service instead. That way, if the dishwasher doesn't clean the glasses, I should hold the manufacturer responsible. He next proceeded to say "I know this dishwasher is "expensive", but you should just decide and not overthink it." He again wanted to create a profile and when I declined after that interaction, he walked away while I was in mid sentence and told me to let him know if I had any other questions. Wow. I went straight to another locally owned appliance store after I left Yale and placed my order. That store wants to thank Jason for sending them new business! read more

Our experience with Yale from sales with Tyrone Robinson to today's delivery has been excellent. We were completely redoing our kitchen so his expertise was much needed. Yale stored our purchases until we were ready and they delivered them today. The delivery crew was very skilled and unpackaged and placed the appliances where we needed them. Our interior designer referred us to Yale appliances. We ordered a Wolf range and steam oven, SubZero fridge, Bosch dishwasher, Best hood and Yale wine fridge. Paid a premium to have it installed by Yale to get the better warranty from SubZero/Wolf. So far after the installation I have had three major issues. 1) The range after being installed rattled while exhausting heat so loud you couldn't be in the kitchen. Enormous hassle to get anyone to help us. 2) Dishwasher had an error code after being installed and Yale was very difficult working with our general contractor to remedy. 3) Wine fridge was installed and never worked - service tech from Yale said it was like purchasing a car with a bad engine. Every time you contact Yale the customer service could not be worse. I have made three phone calls to my original sales rep Rhonda Niddrie and she has never responded. I have asked for a manager to contact me in the service department twice and each time I asked the rep said that someone would be reaching out to me. The service department is separate from the sales and cannot grasp that we have paid in full since September and it is now January and some of our appliances still are not working. It's amazing how much money we spent compared to the level of customer service we received. I don't think it could have gone any worse. Don't let the showroom fool you- they are not here to help you. read more

I thought something was wrong with my oven and it turned out that I just need a quick lessen to learn that it needed more time to heat up than was stated by the oven, to achieve the correct temperature. While the tech was here, he gave me great information on other things that will be very useful in the future. He also protected my kitchen floor and wore booties, which I greatly appreciated since it was raining out. I'm so glad I purchased all my kitchen appliances at Yale. Yale is located off of route 9 in Framingham. Look for the yellow and blue sign to the ample parking area at the back of the store. They say first impression is everything, and Yale didn't disappoint with their beautiful display of outdoor grills that makes you stop, ooh and awe. Upon entering the store, my senses were on Wow mode... the store is beautifully lit, and the ambiance is on point. Exactly what a high-end appliance store should feel like (as you know, you are about to lay out an abundant amount that is equivalent to a college tuition) for your new appliances. (Yet, I don't have children, so I went all out!) The greeter who was positioned at her desk asked for my name and reason for my visit. And then introduced me to a sales representative. I met Trevor, who guided me throughout the store. The entire store thoughtfully recreates mock kitchens, bar areas, laundry rooms, etc, that easily makes you invest your emotions into the visit. There is a lot to look at and a lot of knowledge that my pro versed me on. I would believe you would need a degree in home appliances to be able to deliver the level of knowledge that Trevor recited, yet it was all appreciated and taken in one ear (while some info flew out the other) After much time and contemplation. I chose the Thermador refrigerator, stove, range (and a hood) dishwasher, wine cooler, sink, faucet and two new pieces of jewelry... a set of GE profile front loader washer and dryer in sapphire blue Yale is an experience, so bring your patience, plenty of time, and knowing you'll want to leave the store with everything. This is pretty easy and I'm very pleased. My gas stove was failing. I wanted to eventually switch to an electric induction stove with convection oven. (I'd earlier added an outlet for the stove.) Finally, after a couple of years of making do, it was time. I checked Yale Electric Outlet on line. They had a model I wanted that had been scratched for a very discounted price. I ordered it on line, spoke to a salesperson on Sunday, was scheduled for delivery Thursday. My plumber: Pipelines Inc, (W. Roxbury) came Monday to disconnect and cap the gas line. The stove was delivered and installed and they took the old one away. I can barely see the scratch. Great service. Also, I feel more comfortable, that if something goes wrong, I can call Yale. read more

The sales people were helpful but not pushy, they were very good at helping you find the right appliances for your needs and budget . They had excellent knowledge of the products they carry. I love Yale Appliance! I live in the South End of Boston and delivery has always been smooth with them. I just got a washer and dryer and previously a dishwasher from them. Whatever you think you'll save in price going somewhere else, forget it - Yale actually has great pricing and dealing with them is usually great. This time I had one small snag - when a technician came by for a site check to check measurements on doorways (for delivery purposes), as an afterthought, he came back to check the water valve and it did turn out I needed a whole new valve which required me to get a plumber in before the washer/dryer could be delivered. It bugged me to think that if he hadn't turned back around to check, it would've been an even bigger hassle. He also recommended I have the door to the dryer reversed (I was grateful to him for suggesting that) and he put it on the order. When it was delivered, it hadn't been done and the delivery men called the office and the person there started telling me how much that would cost me because it would be a service call, and the actual job, yada yada until I told her it was on the site check order and she found it on the paperwork and it was verbatim what the tech had said. So she said the warehouse missed that and I was quickly realizing that to have it done seems like a scheduling hassle and something they're not really keen to do. Besides that glitch, everything was great. Yale really is the ONLY place, especially if you live in city. The delivery men were great. Incidentally, I started the whole process of ordering this (started just by asking questions) through the chat box on the Yale site and I was amazed who wonderful that experience was with Evan.
