Many thanks to D&T heating and cooling! I woke up this morning and thought the house was a bit warmer than usual. I realized that the compressor was running but not the blower. I dialed D&T at 7am figuring I could leave a message (they open at eight). Within 15 minutes I received a call back. I believe the caller was Stacey, who set up an appointment for between 12 and 4. Service is ok. Markup on parts are ridiculously high. $200 for a $15 -$45 is insane. Poor business process as it relates to scheduling. Never received a call about an exhaust fan motor for my furnace. read more

If I could give them more stars I would... This co went above and beyond to make sure I had heat. I called around 9 in the morning, spoke to Doug and he sent a tech Mark out the same day (by 1pm) Mark is such a nice guy and was very knowledgeable and upfront with everything he needed to do. He went to get the part and I had heat by 4:30. I will definitely use them in the future. Ohhh and the price was reasonable. We had to get the motor replaced. Very Very Pleased! read more

I'm rating 2 stars because the guy they sent out in August seemed like a nice person and communicated the issues I had asked about. I signed up for the annual maintenance pkg... so far not really worth it IMO. I knew my heater wasn't working but figured I would take care of that as the colder season drew near. I have an older condo that runs heat and air out of the same unit... I wasn't educated about this until post summer check. In August I called and signed up because Kim said they can clean condensation pump - not so apparently. He did whatever check but never diagnosed the heater not working. This year it was a short summer so I pretty much turned off my AC the same month they were here. Now it's September and my heater is blowing cool air. Kim answered my questions with an attitude. Waiting a couple weeks to get my 'winter checkup'. The 2nd star is hoping this story ends better. read more

Called D&T heating and cooling when my ac blew up on memorial day weekend,they sent out a very good salesman named Tom Spori, He told me when and how long it would take.Just like he said,everything was taking care of when he said it would be. Doug at D&T cooling is great, he put my system in a few years ago. He didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. His business has grown over the years due to his honesty and hard work. He's a local guy here in Delaware. The service contract that I have with him is great, no worries. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Incompetent and RUDE! My husband and I recently moved into a new house. On Sunday we returned home from vacation and realized our heat was no longer working. D&T couldn't come out until Wednesday morning despite the incoming snow, 8 degree weather and the fact that I am pregnant. According to our alarm system, the tech was at the house for about 10 minutes to collect his check and blame the issue on having no electric to the unit. An electrician was called and luckily they came out a few hours later. They showed me how there was power to both the inside and outside unit. The electrician advised me to call D&T back immediately and let them know that they made a mistake. I did and what I encountered was some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I explained to the extremely rude woman who claimed to be a manager that the tech, Ryan, must have made a mistake. She told me there was nothing she could do for me and that the electrician had to be incompetent because Ryan has supposedly been doing this for 7 years. She REFUSED to send him or anyone else back out to our house and told me there was nothing else she could do for me (probably because they already accepted payment). The electricians were still there while I was on the phone and witnessed how incredibly rude and snappy this woman was to me and them. It is a serious health issue to leave a pregnant woman in a house without working heat while a tech stops by for ten minutes to give us a run around when we have been waiting since Monday morning for an appointment. There is no excuse for that woman to talk to me the way she did.I understand that mistakes happen but this woman was not willing to even consider that her tech made a mistake. She blamed everyone else but her own personnel. It is freezing in that house and that is not healthy for me and the baby but this woman made it clear that since it wasn't her family, it wasn't her problem. read more

$99 service done in 25 min. Very unhappy - this is scam. Technician tried to sell $277 leak check service from the get go. Then recharged R-22 (2 pounds) without asking me or telling me and demanded $277. Very unethical - I got scammed. $277 for 2 lb of R-22??? read more

Avoid if possible. Work was done but not tested to make sure the problem was correctly fixed. The problem is now worse and I have no actual clue what the technician did - except for use my bleach and use my towel to try to mop up water. It was marked on the work order that the carpet was wet - well now my carpet is saturated with water. When the technician came in he was already talking about installing a condensation pump - before seeing the actual problem. When I called the office today I spoke to some lady that told me that the problem was that American Shield needed to approve the work order - which was odd since I had spoken to American Home Shield and they had not heard anything from D & T... Very odd to me. D & T may have gotten my money this time - but never again. read more
