It's pretty good, but unless you remember to ask for salt, it's either unseasoned or under seasoned. Which wouldn't be bad if you were eating inside, because you could add some salt. But when you take it to go and eat it in your car, there's no salt shakers to season the meat. At 21 Williams St. This Spa advertises by placing unwanted "20 Dollare redeemable vouchers" on your car window so that when you take it off, it leaves a sticker outlined on your glass!!! Not only did I end up with a $20 voucher I did not want or care to have, now I have to scrape my window to remove the sticker residue!!! I wanted to go to Vinnie's Pizzeria, but the line was out the door. That happens when you're the best at what you do. Instead, we had a choice of Mickie Ds or D'Angelo's Sandwich Shop. Some would say that's no real choice. The D'Angelo's chain is famous for two sandwiches. There's the Number Nine, a cheesesteak sub with grilled onions, mushrooms and peppers; and, in the summertime, they offer a good ol' New England Lobster Roll on what was supposed to be a 6" or 12" sub roll. My dining companion chose a large Number Nine, no peppers and a fountain drink. I chose the large Lobster Roll with a fountain drink and a large cookie. The tab: $36.47!! My companion was perfectly content with the Number Nine sandwich. D'Angelo's has been making this for years and it is their signature menu item. No real surprises here; a perfectly satisfactory meal. As for my sandwich, I know the large Lobster Roll was the lion's share of the lunch tab. I'm thinking that for twenty-three bucks, I'm gonna get one helluva sandwich. After all, local supermarkets are selling COOKED lobsters for $3.98/lb. That's cheaper than baloney. Boy, was I in for a rude surprise. On a full sub roll, the lobster didn't cover the entire length of the sub and there were spaces in between lobster meat. This sandwich was more bread and lettuce than anything else as there was nothing more in the sandwich. If I'm paying over $20 for a sandwich where the most expensive ingredient on the sandwich costs less than luncheon meat, is it too much to expect at least full coverage of the main ingredient on the sandwich? After the meal, talking to the counterperson, I was told that D'Angelo's has shortened their sandwiches to 5" and 10". The prices didn't go down, but the size of the sandwich did. Folks, that's called "inflation;" or, as a friend of mine calls it, "fun-sizing." Think about that the next time the government wants to play "hocus-pocus" with the dollar and give away some more "free" government cash. I love seafood. I spend six months a year in Arizona where fresh seafood is almost unheard of. Any Lobster Roll is a real treat for me. However, in light of the depressed price of lobster this summer, D'Angelo's Lobster Roll is a real ripoff. read more

They make a great Number Nine. Not all D'Angelos can make them perfect, but this one can. My own magical version is: Medium-size in a pokket. Lettuce, tomato, (and, here's the kicker) Xtra pickles. Plenty of mayonnaise. Tons of salt and pep. So delish. read more

One of the cashiers wants to tell you her life story each time you go in. Sorry, but I also don't want a hand that handles money to open up the pouch my wrap goes in. The prices are also high compared to other places close by. Based on my experience with their delivery drivers, I would not order from them again. One such driver looked as if he hadn't showered in months. His car had dirty diapers in the back seat, too! Do they not have a dress, or hygiene standard? I've never had a problem ordering a sandwich from here before, but I went over the weekend and placed my usual order. I requested one of the ingredients be held and the man behind the counter proceeded to read to me the ingredients of the sandwich so he could inform me it would come with the offending ingredient because, "that's how it comes." I have a Master's degree so him reading to me from the menu only served to irritate me further. I informed him I had been in many times before and never had a problem getting the sandwich made as I like it. If I could give zero stars I would. This place has gone right down the toilet. They used to have good subs and good bowls, now all they serve is small portions of crap. In the past two months I have visited this location six times. Each time I have seen new people working there who had no clue what in the world they were doing. I asked and paid for double meat three times, and each time I received half the meat! On the Thanksgiving sub I asked for no cranberry sauce and they put so much on it that was all I could taste, it was disgusting! Three days ago was my last order. I will not be back ever! I order two subs, a Thanksgiving and a Chicken Vermonter, paid for double meat on both and asked for extra gravy for the Thanksgiving sub. When I got home I opened the Vermonter sub first. I had exactly six pieces of chicken on a large sub, six pieces!!! I had paid for DOUBLE MEAT! Then my sister opened her Thanksgiving sub, she had four slices of turkey.....FOUR!!! I had paid for DOUBLE MEAT!! The bread on her sub was stale on one end and they gave her only one small cup of gravy, when I had asked for extra. There was barely any stuffing and a huge smear of that nasty cranberry spread. She was not able to eat it because it was so bad. I called them to complain and asked to speak to a manager, I was told by a rude woman that the manager was not there and she hung up on me. That's it. This place has gone straight to hell. The service sucks. The people suck and don't know what their job is or how to do it. And the food is a joke. I would recommend that you NEVER GO TO D'angelo's EVER!! The mayo was gobbled on in just one corner of the pocket leaving most of the sandwich completely dry! There were tomatoes but they were cut so thin I could barely taste them.i had to hunt for the lettuce!! Seriously ! There were a few strands resting on the bottom of the pocket! The bacon was disgusting! It obviously had been sitting around for awhile as the fat had congealed ,it was cold and limp!the pocket itself was tasteless and and so thin it fell apart while trying to eat it.Incidentally I added my own two large romaine leafs and mayo to the sandwich as well as salt and pepper that had not been provided as I requested! And for the privilege of eating this mess I paid $7.19! I'm on SSI so that money could have been spent on Kentucky fried Chicken or pizza- this was bought at the S Main Street restaurant in Concord NH.Obviously I will not be returning! Ever!! read more
