We were in the area and Yelped a good restaurant to have lunch. We found Country Cook'n At The Circle Restaurant. Checked the menu and decided to give it a try. Great selection of food whether you want a club sandwich or pot roast, and everything in between. The two of us got the turkey club and the other pot roast. Two also had the beef stew. The beef stew was very hearty and delicious. The club sandwich had fresh baked turkey, bacon, tomato, lettuce and mayo on delicious thickly sliced toasted bread. It was so big the two of us could only eat one half. Took the other half to go. The pot road was two thick slices that were super tender, with gravy on the mashed potatoes. Delicious. Beside the food being delicious, I took home a piece of Lemon Meringue pie. Best pie I ever had! I love Lemon Meringue pie and never have it much. I occasionally get it to go, but this is the best one yet! Delicious! The location is very convenient on the Epsom Circle, the parking is sufficient, the outside of the restaurant is decent (could be better), I was welcomed upon entering, there was ample comfortable seating, the inside of the restaurant was very interesting and had a TV prominently on in the main section, my waitress was friendly, quick and responsive, the menu had many varied choices including healthy choices, prices were average, my Cobb Salad was prepared quickly and was huge!, coffee was delicious, and the men's restroom was clean. read more

We have been to this restaurant at least once a week and have had okay service and quality. This morning we went and were very disappointed as our whole meal was cold. It was not even warm. I've been here twice for breakfast. Both times I received good service & no wait. The tables are always clean & easily accessible. The only thing not on the menu is an offering of eggs benedict (it may have been before, but it isn't on their currently). On the 2nd visit, the manager happened to be on the floor & greeted us immediately upon entry. I liked to see that he was helping out on the floor, including bussing tables & clearing plates off of people's tables to make room for them. The girl that was bussing tables brought us over to a table. She even took our drink orders, which was nice of her to get things going until our waitress made it over. I really wish I could remember her name, but she was friendly & quick. She came over to refresh our coffees at the perfect time. You can pay at your table or at the entry. We decided to stop in Epsom for lunch on our way to visit friends in New Durham. We were seated in the back dining room, which was very quiet and peaceful. Jane, our server, greeted us and took our drink order. We were surprised when we landed at the Manchester airport earlier that the temperature was in 50's. Went up to a getaway house in Epsom this weekend and The Circle Restaurant was a great homey diner that gave large portions at a surprisingly good price. The wait staff was kind and quick every time we came in. I wasn't necessarily that impressed with my food (scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, and banana pancakes). Ok folks, whom ever reads this, whenever your in the Epsom NH area,no wait wait wait, if your anywhere in the greater Concord/Tilton-Laconia -Meredith Loudon And Gilford area you definitely need to come to one of the Country Cook'n Restaurants locations. They have 4 locations to serve you but this review is for the location in Epsom NH at the Circle. I'm not sure what to talk about first......the food....the prices......the friendly staff. It's all 10/10. We have taken food to go 4 times in a week, it's that good and inexpensive. I wish I had pictures of everything we had, but I was so excited that I ate it before I got a pic. Breakfast is awesome, we had the Deluxe Breakfast.....scrambled eggs with sausage, ham topped with bacon. Choice of bread and either hash browns or country potatoes $7.95. No wonder Denny's is closing and IHOP is barely getting by. Hash'nEggs delicious corned beef hash, tasted home made but cannot confirm. Two eggs any style and choice of bread for $7.95. For lunch The club sandwich gives you choice of meats, tuna, ham and cheese , turkey, roast beef or a hamburger patty served with bacon on your choice of bread with all the standard veggies, $8.95 with fries . We had the turkey which was AWESOME! The cowboy burger, 8oz patty with American cheese, bacon,tangy BBQ Sauce and onion rings $8.95 with fries. Today we had the turkey Club again and I thought about getting something new so I got the Steak and cheese wrap. They need a bit more practice, lacking seasoning, but the beef was tender and the bell peppers, onions good and the cheese were good. I can go on and on but you definitely need to go for yourself. On the outside, The Circle Restaurant looks like a nice little family restaurant. However, the few times we've gone there, upon walking into the restaurant we could smell a strong odor that smelled like poop. It made me sick to me stomach and so we left. About a year later we went back and no smell so we went inside. My daughter ordered pancakes and when they arrived, there were hairs from a food brush all over and ingrained in the pancakes. We got up and left immediately and only paid for my wife's and my food. The service took a while, but it was crowded and expected. I'll never eat there again. read more

Don't expect a fancy meal here. You can expect good home country cookin' at reasonable prices just north of the Epsom Traffic Circle. This is as good you're going to find for family dining in Epsom. Some of my coworkers and former coworkers who are locals dine here regularly with their families. I've been dining here now that I work 15 minutes away. The atmosphere inside is that of local country style restaurant with seating at the lunch counter and two dining rooms with booth and table seating, apex ceiling, country decor, and a group of stuffed bears in the ceiling. It's seat yourself when it's not busy, but when the place gets really busy especially during weekend breakfasts and dinnertime, the staff does the seating. Pay the check at the front register. The Circle Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a good variety. The food is cooked using Rhymes LP gas. There are menus already at each table. The Breakfast menu is served until 3PM and offers egg dishes, 4 egg omelets, hot cakes (buttermilk & multigrain), waffles, French toast, and more. The rest of the menu served from 11AM (11:30AM on weekends) and offers soups, salads, appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, homestyle dinners, kids menu, and desserts (puddings, ice cream treats, cakes, pies). Pasta dinners (linguine) and seafood served after 4PM. Plenty of daily specials are posted on the wall, examples are stuffed peppers, prime rib (Fri & Sat), fried oysters, and seafood chowder. A pot roast dinner was $6.95. Pepsi fountain drinks, bottled beer and wine served. I will write about the most recent visits to the Circle Restaurant. VISIT A: I had an early weekday breakfast here and there were plenty of open tables, seat yourself. I was offered Coffee ($1.50) as soon as I sat down. I ordered the Hash n' Eggs ($5.95) which was baked roast beef hash and 2 eggs served with homefries and toast. The food arrived very quickly in under 5 minutes. The hash was okay, the typical hash that I can get from a can, the scrambled eggs were fluffy, the homefries were really good, chopped red potatoes, and the toast was light and thick. A staff was walking around the dining room with a pot of coffee pouring refills. The coffee was good, not too strong. In and out in 20 minutes and made it in time for work! VISIT B: I arrived here around 4:30 PM on a Friday and the place was fairly busy, but I seated myself. It took a while for someone to come over to take my order, but I was occupied trying to decide what I wanted. I was brought out a dinner roll with butter and I asked for ice water with lemon. My coworker loves the Fried Chicken Tenders here! However, since it was after 4PM, I went with the Chicken Parmesan ($8.95) served over pasta and comes with salad and garlic toast. The salad came in a small wooden bowl, prechilled with a cup of dressing, it was okay. The dinner arrived 10 minutes later with the check left at the table. The chicken parmesan was very good, tender chicken breaded and deep fried and topped with mozzarella cheese & parsley and served over a soft bed of linguine and chunky marinara sauce. By the time I finished my dinner the place was getting really busy. The servers became overwhelmed, but had things under control. I wanted dessert, so it took a while to place my order since the servers plate the desserts. I had the Strawberry Shortcake with vanilla ice cream ($2.95) which was really good, a homemade biscuit with lots of sugary strawberries and a scoop of ice cream. I waited 5 minutes to cash out as I looked over the handcrafted bracelets for sale at the register because all of the staff was busy running food out. As I was getting ready to leave, I thought I saw a former coworker walk into the next room and then I saw his wife and the kids. Though I was finished eating, I sat down with them as they were having dinner. He enjoyed the Seafood Combo ($13.95) which was fried scallops, fried belly clams, and fried haddock served with homemade mashed potatoes & gravy and butternut squash. His wife had the Prime Rib ($12.95) served with the same accompaniments. The cut had thick fat around the edges, but the meat was tender and very good. I'll have to keep those specialties in mind for next time. Overall, the food here is tasty and value priced which is why the place gets packed. The service varied during each visit depending on the volume of diners. Recommend trying to dine here during the midweek when it's not as busy. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars for this rating, which the rating came out to be 3.66 stars overall. Since we moved into the area about a year ago we have been coming to The Circle Restaurant almost weekly. It has a clean, modest decor with great home-style cooking. The kind of place where neighbors gather. The chef is excellent, with homemade tasting beef stew, shepherds pie, burgers and more. Stopped in on way to camp and had a great surprise. Simple down home cooking. We were greeted by a smiling waitress telling us to grab a comfortable seat. Waitress came over for our drink order and brought over two delicious cakey corn bread. I ordered whole belly clams and Brett ordered liver n onions with a side of beets (not pickled) and sweet potato fries. Both meals were great. For drinks Brett ordered home brewed ice tea and I had an amazing Bloody Mary with a lot of horseradish (asked for it and the waitress was kind enough to bring extra-yum). Simple cooking. We came in today for late breakfast. It has been the first time eating inside since the COVID-19 began so I was nervous. The tables are definitely not 6 feet apart and they could be! While dining a waitress came over and grabbed a chair away from our table to seat a 5th person less than 3 feet away from me! She didn't even say, "Excuse me do you mind if I take away your chair?".
