Mariners fans, here's your guide to a great day at the park…read more Head to the stadium early to watch the guys at the practice fields. It's free, and gates open at 9:30. See dozens of players on the various fields throwing pitches, fielding balls, and taking batting practice. On game day, the guys wrapped up practice around 11:50, so I recommend getting there at least by 11. Don't miss doing this--it's just as entertaining, if not more entertaining than the game. Where else can you see players this up close? Then, walk on over to In-N-Out or Raising Cane's for lunch before the game. They're about a 15 minute walk away. I feel odd recommending fast food, but you gotta try what you can't get back in Seattle! There is food at the stadium, but it's not discount prices. Expect to pay just as much (or more) for a drink than you would at T-Mobile Park. After lunch, head to the park for the 1:10 game. The stadium is very intimate, and there really isn't a bad seat. It does get hot tho--the seats themselves are very toasty. Fortunately, we brought some towels from the hotel to sit on. The couple in front of us had to go buy some towels in order to sit comfortably. Also, pack a small portable fan. As someone who doesn't like hot weather, the fan made a huge difference and made sitting in the seats tolerable. Lastly, bring a water bottle and some sunscreen. There are cooling stations throughout the stadium, and some shaded spots. Parking is right in front of the stadium, free, and plentiful. You do not need to worry about not getting a spot--especiailly if you come early to watch practice.

There's even a kids mini baseball field! We sat in Section 120. There's a good amount of space between the rows of seats and the section is right along the first base line. So, this summer, I signed her up for private softball lessons at D-BAT with Coach Jayme, and I honestly couldn't be happier with that decision. After just one lesson, my daughter's confidence skyrocketed. She was tracking the ball better, rotating her glove correctly, and finally beginning to understand the fundamentals of catching. In one session with Coach Jayme, she learned more than she had during an entire season of Little League. The biggest change, however, wasn't mechanical. It was her confidence. She enjoyed that first lesson so much that she begged me to sign her up for the week-long softball day camp. As the week went on, I watched her excitement for the game continue to grow. She wasn't just getting better--she was falling in love with softball. As for D-BAT itself, the facility has been excellent. The pro shop is well stocked with softball and baseball equipment, sunglasses, snacks, drinks, and even baseball cards. There are plenty of batting cages available for rentals, lessons, and camps, and everything has felt organized and welcoming every time we've visited. There are also bleachers and sitting areas for parents to watch. We're still new to the softball world, so I don't have years of experience comparing facilities. What I do know is this: My daughter asked where she could get better. We brought her to D-BAT. She left believing she could. As a parent, that's about the highest compliment I can give. We'll definitely be back.

I am about the same distance between this dbats and the one in Peoria and prefer this location as they are more consistent. My only gripe is that they seem to always have atleast one or 2 machines down, this last time they had 3. I get it, they get a lot of use and they wear down, still annoying either way. I will continue to come back. I highly recommend a membership if you plan on going atleast once a week, it easily pays for itself.

Both serve canned alcohol for those who are of age while Jerseys also has some beer on tap as offerings. The decor in Jerseys is great for the baseball and sports person with a few tvs showing national games of baseball or football. There is typically a gate entrance fee on tournament days of $5/pp and they do not allow outside alcohol to be brought in. This is a popular venue for the valleys baseball travel teams catering to ages 10-14 as well as adult softball or volleyball.

It's in Freestone Park and isn't necessarily hidden but if you don't live in the surrounding neighborhood you may not even realize it's there - I didn't (and I was looking). We have been here several times now and never had an issue. There are several cages and speeds to choose from, you can pay with coins or rent cage for a 1/2 or full hour. From what I can see the place is properly maintained and all machines are working and fairly consistent. This place is no frills but they do have plenty of loaner bats and helmets if you need them. They also have a small selection of drinks/water/Powerade etc if you need. This has become my sons favorite weekend activity so we will keep coming back. Good way to burn some time and calories and not break the bank. It's also hardly ever crowded so better than having to stand in line somewhere or deal with crowds. Looking for a good "old fashioned" batting cage in the East valley, this is your place. Cheers!

This used to be our favorite batting cage. We would go there a few times a week. It's a bit old and…read morerun down, and the pitches fluctuates, but the guys that worked there could always adjust it for us right away. I think they are under new management now. We went there yesterday, in one cage the pitches were way too high, and in the other cage, the pitches were way wide beyond reach, but we were told by the guy that worked there he can't adjust it himself. Somebody comes and does it once a week? And you are supposed to get 10 balls each time, the machine ran out of balls after the 3rd one. So disappointing. If it's going to be like this, we won't be going back.

I LOVED HOW NONE OF MY WOOD BATS BROKE It took me a few rounds to get my timing down. Those foam balls fly and give a satisfying "Crack" off my wood bats when properly barrelled. Ended the day with 10 rounds in the 80mph cage and cant wait till im in town again to make a follow-up cage appearance. Fun staff good food and a great time had by all the kiddos ( 8yo& 2yo girls... and a 46yo man-child who visits several local cages, multiple times a week as my, "Therapy Sesh."
