On the weekends, the main floor clears out and a dj is hired for a fun nightlife scene. The inside is huge with a main bar, two floors of seating, a rooftop patio, slots, and fun neon signs/murals. They are known for their large burger selection, mac and cheese, and actually brew their own beers. East Dundee is one of their 4 locations too. My husband and I visited for a dinner bite and were immediately drawn to their burger selection. It was hard to choose one but I ordered the Hurricane and he The DC Cobb. I absolutely loved the flavor of my burger and was happy I got to try two of their specialty items. I tasted some of the mac and cheese on its own and thoroughly enjoyed the bold, cheesy taste. The buns are perfectly charred for a bit of a crunch and the portion was big. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger and both were cooked perfectly medium as requested. When it's busy this is an extremely loud place - they really need some acoustic tiles. There's very odd art on the walls which doesn't really seem to go with this sort of open plan theme, casino games, darts vibe in any kind of meaningful way. The food is mediocre and not cheap. The best thing was the tomato soup which seem to be homemade and had just a hint of spice from red peppers. In the mood for good drinks and excellent pub food? I have just the place - DC COBBS (East Dundee IL) LOCATION/PARKING (4/5) Located downtown, but off Main Street along with other restaurants and bars. Now that they have a parking garage for the area (closer to Main Street, so it will be a little walk) there should be enough parking. Been a problem getting parking in the past, especially when there is some outdoor event in the center park area. ATMOSPHERE/AMBIANCE (4/5) Though pretty typical and a little dark inside, they have plenty of seating, comfortable bar area, private room upstairs for events (if I recall), with seating outside upstairs and out front (w/ umbrellas). SERVICE (5/5) Our server, Kendall, was excellent and accommodating. We initially sat at an outside front table which had a bit too much sun and rather uncomfortable. She quickly moved us to another table (swapping with another server) where we could enjoy a little more in the shade. DRINKS/FOOD (4/5) She made a great drink recommendation for my wife (blackberry and basil cocktail) that wasn't too too sweet. I had their Diablo Mexican Lager. She promptly asked if I wanted a lime and brought salt quickly as I requested. Based upon my wife's described taste, she was able to perfectly recommend a great dish - Southwest Bowl (w/ chicken). My wife really enjoyed it but took half home, as it is a generous portion. I had one of their burgers which you can choose your protein (corn or grass fed beef, bison which I had, beyond meat, and others). The burger was the Dick Tracy, having grilled mushrooms and onions, cheese and sat between two sets oh toast with cheese sandwiched between. The burger was moist, the bison was perfectly cooked and had a ton of flavor - beware as it is quite filling. I couldn't finish my pickle chips. Would rate a 5 if they had more entrees. Their menu has a few bowls, several salads and wraps and a large assortment of burgers (plenty of options). They also have a Friday Fish Fry. CLEANLINESS (4/5) Couldn't rate higher as there are some unknowns, as I have never been in their restrooms. LOL. Everything else is very clean and didn't notice any anomalies. VALUE (5/5) Prices are very good considering the portions. Unless you have a really big appetite, you will probably have leftovers for another meal. Don't forget to signup for their reward program. They are part of the Toast network through their Hart Alliance Loyalty Program. Earn 200 pts and get $10. (3) drinks, and (2) meals today equated to approximately 60+ pts. Yay me! First, absolutely no acknowledgment when we sat down at the bar. For almost 10 minutes! One of two bartenders was busy decorating, so I guess she couldn't be bothered. Then, waited another 15 minutes after she finally got us some drinks before seeing if we wanted food. Food took long, and was not worth the wait, no flavor, really. Outstanding!!!! It's that simple. Both my wife and I have food sensitivities and D.C. Cobb's offers a very good selection that fits out needs. The Cauliflower Wrap is incredible! The spice is the perfect level and the flavors amazing. And you can never go wrong with tater tots!!! When we arrived, Addy greeted us with a big smile and was a delight to chat with as we were walking to our table. Amanda was our server and was awesome! The food and staff here are awesome. Nice afternoon ambiance on their outdoor patio, especially when they have live music or trivia going on. All the wait staff including support staff is great. Stopped in last Sunday, and will be stopping back this upcoming Sunday for sports trivia! Great location too right off the bike path. Makes for a nice afternoon mid bike stop. Stopped a few times on my bike, and ate on the rooftop. Actually pretty sweet. Will definitely be back soon. I also got a $10 gift card for coming so regularly during lunch. Update to my last experience here...came for dinner on a Friday night around 7. No waiting for a table for two on the roof. It was a beautiful way to have dinner so if you can sit up there, I recommend it. We both had a cocktail and then we both ordered burgers. Took half of mine home because it was big! Alright, to say I've spent a little bit of time at DC Cobb's in Woodstock would be an understatement. So when this location popped up in East Dundee, I had to put my frequent flyer miles to the test. The exterior patio is facing south for all the sun exposure one would be looking for when sipping on their delicious cocktail and beer selection. Even for the cooler evenings, having the gigantic outside propane fire pit to lure you in from a distance is sure to do the trick to keep you and your plus whomevers warm and engaged throughout the night. Walking inside to not only an eclectic atmosphere, rad welded staircase and burnt barn and barrel wood walls and hallway but the aroma of their lush burgers from their well thought-out food menu. The Mac n Cheese is to die for and you can never say you didn't like said dish because you can literally add all the toppings your groaning stomach has been longing for. Thinking about stopping in for 2 beers? I thought I was going to as well until I met the best personality behind that bar in this locations existence. Greeted with a smile and charismatic energy that could split an Angry Orchard half keg in two, she'll keep the pints rolling in with genuine conversation and a big beautiful smile that could land an airplane flying from LAX to ORD. Anywho, 9 beers later and some great laughs Ashley not only deserves every bit of praise but a double fingers crossed that her work ethic and generosity could rub off on future employees there to bring this location from a 10 out of 10, to an 11.
