Service was ok. The place is nice and very chill. Food was ok too. The burger we had was really good. The Nachos we had was good except the chicken on it was really dry which was a bit of a disappointment. I did love their Rasberry Ice Tea because it is flavored with real fruit ouree. The service was stellar, the ambiance was ok. We were in the back room and watched the Artemis II splash down in the TVs. The egg rolls were interesting. The fries were nice and crispy. DC Cobbs Huntley - terrible customer service. We ordered SW salad with grilled chicken but when we arrived home it was all heavily breaded chicken. It looked terrible. I had to drive back 15 minutes later to get the grilled chicken I originally ordered. They refused to comp me for my troubles, not even a side salad, bread, forks, a slight discount, etc. Nothing. Manager just said he could not do anything for my troubles. No sensitivity to customer service here. I strongly recommend you stay away from this place. read more

What a fun little Sunday!! This place was popping in the best way possible. Good vibes, super clean, not crazy loud and the staff man they get hospitality. I had the Hawaiian Hammer and my husband had the juicy J. Apparently they make their own beers. It was really good. Want to try their West Coast next. We started with the watermelon mozz salad. Very fresh. Came out quickly. Split the BFM smashburger with Cajun fries. Would had more but we had dinner plans. Honestly wish we would've stayed here. Everything I saw coming out looked so good. Nice interior. Visited on a Saturday night, fairly busy. Sat at the bar, service was slow, with bartenders parked conversing at the far side. Excessively loud, extreme fighting on displays. Bartrnder was nice enough to turn the volume down a bit. It's was still too loud and inappropriate programming for a public bar. Had the namesake burger, which was good but not great. My one big complaint is no nearby handycap parking. How did that past Village review? read more

First visit here & was totally impressed with the wonderfully fun interior. We had a table of 6. We tried all the wonderful hamburgers, phenomenal. It was the little things, like cold coffee, warm not hot water for tea. And everyone's sides that went with the delicious burgers, were cold. They were kind enough to make us new hot sides that were fabulous. LOVE the cheese curds, which is a side upgrade. They have so many options. We can't wait to come back & try new items. Take out is usually good. My one critique is the way the food looks when you get it to go. My burger was falling apart and the insides spilled out onto my fries, including the patty which fell apart and the cheese that was oozing out everywhere. I had to eat it with a fork out of the container. It was very messy and hard to eat. Maybe a little bit more care when packing the to go orders would be nice. Otherwise the food is good. read more

It was our second visit to this restaurant. This first visit was just mediocre. We decided to give it a second chance. Unfortunately we had even worse luck. Right from the get go, my soft drink tasted and smelled something like chlorine. We were told that "sometimes when it gets to the end that happens" We ordered the fish and chips, which was luke warm and bland, as were the fries and the two bites of cole slaw I was given. One friend had the shrimp po boy which was so-so and literally had cold fries, (which were quicky replaced) and the other friend had the Italian Beef which she thought was good except for the day or two old bread. The service was good, and the manager came to our table to apologize for our disappointments which was appreciated. Maybe just an off day. Wishing you the better days. read more

This place is one of my wife and I my favorite stops for a night out together or with the kids. The new Huntley location is spacious and very cool since it used to be a firehouse. Food is excellent and drinks are tasty. My only complaint is it's usually packed and can be a challenge to hear each other in the main dining area. read more

Never again several weeks ago we had a bad service experience at the huntley location. After talking to the manager they give us a gift card to return. Tonight (tues night) we returned only to have very poor service once again. i do not blame the very young servers but i do blame the management and lack of training these young people are getting. They are slow to greet, they don't double back to make sure you don't need anything else once your food is delivered and we waited 25 minutes for our check only after asking other staff to have our server bring it. Shame on you DC Cobb management. We are done read more

D.C. Cobb's is a great addition to Huntley. There are a few other locations around Illinois but this one is 5 minutes from my family. For the holiday season they have some great cocktails and specials on the menu. We tried a variety of cocktails which were all tasty and cute. The Blood Orange Margarita, The Cobb's Cranberry Smash, and the Perfect Pairing (Bourbon with a torched pear on top). If you like beer they have a large selection to choose from. They have a great selection of food items and their burgers are insane. For appetizers the dynamite shrimp, fried pickles, and buffalo chicken egg rolls are a must. You really cannot go wrong with any apps here. For mains, as I mentioned they have insane burgers. Great selection of buns, cheeses and premium toppings which include deep fried bacon, mac & cheese, pulled pork, fried egg and much more. Inside is really cute and I love the garage doors which will nice to have open in the spring/summer. It was too chilly to have them open when we went. Servers were all so friendly and pleasant. Overall a really great experience. Great for date night or large groups. read more

In a little town of Huntley, Illinois, you will find an amazing place to eat. It's a must try, called DC Cobbs. They have something for everyone on the menu, the ambience is family friendly. The service is amazing and the people are so friendly. Ask for Zoe she was amazing and so friendly. The sweet potato fries come with a cinnamon dip. The hamburgers are amazing. and the truffle fries were out of this world. Don't forget the dessert, the apple pie rolls with vanilla ice cream top off perfectly. read more

We have been to this restaurant a few times and always enjoyed our meals, but they fell flat with this chicken parm/Mac and cheese combo. The chicken parm was cut into 4-5 skinny strips and placed on top of very uncheesy mac/cheese. I've had better from a box. If you go here choose the burger. You'll enjoy it. read more

It's located in an old building downtown that has a couple levels. The upstairs is often used for private events like parties. If it's not available then it's hard to get a seat anywhere. The seats at the bar fill up, and there's only a few tables. It's about $7 a pint. There's a few of the more stronger ones that cost more though. Best one we had the last time was the 3 Amigos Imperial Stout. Full bodied and thick as a brick too. There's notes of ancho chilis, cacao nibs, cinnamon, and vanilla. Also got something to eat. It's $8 for the Bavarian Pretzel. Helps to absorb the alcohol. They also have chips and salsa among the food options. Got to add it to the list of breweries that seem to be everywhere in this city. It's located on Shumway Avenue in a historic old building full of history. This is a popular place to have private events or whatever.

We were all completely sober & flabbergasted! Completely disgusted, we left. I thought about brushing this aside but I wouldn't want anyone else to be treated that way. I will not allow them to humiliate me. This was supposed to be a happy occasion, and it was spoiled by a bigoted, small-minded person. I don't know how these people can live with themselves.

On this coldish Wednesday winter evening, it wasn't as busy and boisterous as our previous visits, and that was just fine for our usual catchup party of 3. Sam was our fine and attentive server and she adequately took care of the whole dining room on this night. Arriving at 5:30pm, we took advantage of Happy Hour and had 6 beers by 6pm for $5 each. We also had a cheese curds appetizer for $10 (discounted from regular $12). I had my usual 3 beers for our catchup session, namely: - Moreover hazy IPA, 6.5% ABV - Mango Double Marbles Imperial IPA, 8.0% ABV - Appetizer hazy IPA, 5.5% ABV For food, I had their chicken tikka masala platter for $22. My colleagues had a high steak sandwich with salad ($20), and an Italian Beef with fries ($18). All were delicious. There is now a 3% credit card fee. Overall, still one of the best Chicagoland brewpubs around.

Black…read moreLung opened a second location in Fox Lake, so you can pull up here in a boat, car, or whatever. Has quite a few beers on tap as well as meads. The prices are pretty okay on most things. Came in here recently and we got a few beers. It's about $8 a pint. There's stronger ones that are more expensive but still not that much though. Best one I tried was the Jam Session: Strawberry-Peach Crumble. This is a sour, a Berliner Weisse. Had a pretty good sweetness to it. The other one that was a favorite was the Galaxy 503, an IPA that's not too hoppy and has a sweet taste. Also they have mead and smoothies if you want something besides beer. The beer is good but there's a lot more. Has a pretty cool atmosphere. It only has beer and mead so there's no food menu. There sometimes will be food trucks on weekends.

They were also ok with giving us samples of beers to see if we would want them for tasting. The beers were fine, and we bought a 4 pack to go. The quesadilla was ok. The Bison Chili was awesome! They had outdoor seating, covered with heaters but it seemed too cold for that. The view from there was nice I admit. I like how the 'hangar' theme meant pictures of airplanes and pilots, including Amelia Earhart! I like winter beers, but I'd like to go back in the spring or summer to see what's available. The restroom was clean and approachable.
