This is a hard review. The nail tech (spot 5) is AMAZING!! The daughter of the owner not so much. She has no idea what products they have and gave not only me incorrect information about several different things but did the same to a customer on the phone while I was there. She didn't even apologize which would have made the experience better. I'm torn if I'll return. read more

Just went in for a pedicure today... havent been in for a very long time. Wow, have they changed. HORRIBLE. Dirty. Unprofessional. I went in with my feet needing a pedi... and i left... with my feet needing a pedi. When i brought it up, they started blaming me. No. I will never go back, and i will make sure that everyone I speak with will know of my horrible experience. A real shame. I used to really like this place. Another one bites the dust. read more

I was in town and had some time to kill so I thought I'd get a pedicure here. I walked in and it looked busy but they were able to get me in right away. The place looked clean and had decent polish selection. The women was very nice got started right away. The pedicure included feet soak, scrub, lotion, massage and polish. I felt very rushed. The whole pedicure was done in under 20 minutes. I told her I was ticklish and she said she understood. Most places I go to try and get the scrubbing part over with fast when you tell them your ticklish cause they understand it's hard to sit through it. She took her time and then laughed after while saying "ha you're so ticklish." I didn't hold it against her but I wish she hadn't take so long because it's hard not to pull your foot away. When it came time to polish she stuck paper towels between my toes instead of toe separators even though there were some right near her. She also did not take the time to use remover and clean up the edges. The polish job was nice but could have been cleaned up a bit. Over all the pedicure was mediocre and I don't think it was worth the $30 I paid. I think I will stick to the nail place near my home instead of trying a new one on a whim. read more

After reading mixed reviews I decided to give the salon a try anyways because it's close to my house. I got a pedicure. I got the young girl as my nail tech that I had read poor reviews about. She barely did any cuticle work and didn't evenly cut or shape my nails. She didn't cut back my big toe nails from the skin at all like most other salons do. Her paint job was sloppy and the entire process was rushed. I easily could've done a better job myself. That was a waste of money. I won't be going back. read more

I got dip nails here i paid $50 qnd 4 days after they were done 3 of my nqils are already chipped/cracked... i wouldnt recommend this place they are going to fix them for me... but im highly unsatisfied read more

I'm not happy about the service I recieved at dc nails the first time I went there Maria did my nails great the second time I called for an appointment with Maria got a time but when I went for my appointment another women did my nails when I left they felt funny but I was glad to have them done after quarantine but a couple of days went by and my pinky nail fell off and another one was about to so I went back the next week and they charged me ten dollars to fix them ok then the next week one by one the other nails fell off so I called them and the man said to me that they would charge me again. To fix them well I got my nails done somewhere else and I won't be giving them my business anymore read more

I've been coming to DC Nails since 2008. I love the personal care, the friendliness of the girls, and the availability of services. They always make time for me, with or without an appointment. They are open seven days a week, have reasonable fair prices, and take credit and debit cards. Tones of colors to chose from for shellac, pedis, and full sets. read more

I had the worst experience here the other day. The nail tech was using a nail file that clearly had nail dust from other clients still on it and the cuticle job was less than complete. My remaining cuticles were painted over and I had to ask for a third coat because the paint job was so uneven. Nice atmosphere and wide selection of colors, but would not recommend. read more

Have been here a few times and have been equally dissatisfied every time. The man who owns the place is very sweet and makes you feel welcome but the women who work here are rude and unprofessional.I asked for a very simple nail design and I was told they couldn't do it and didn't have time for it.They basically tell you what your getting instead of asking what you want.I will not be returning here for an overpriced mediocre manicure.I do not recommend! read more

It depends on who you go to, my usual person, Marie, was unavailable so I had to go to someone else there. It was one of the worst nail jobs I've ever had, the polish didn't last even 24 hours and I have to go back again to have it redone. This lady was very fast and sloppy and I will never use her again. I don't know if she was new but really, come on, everyone knows the bottom coat has to dry first before you put on another coat with gel polish. read more

I went in for a pink and white fill and a pedicure. Maria did my pink and white fill and here's my experience with her: They had to fix them after she left. They are shaped horribly, the shellac is blotchy and uneven. After filing and before putting the top coat of shellac on you're SUPPOSE to be asked to go wash your hands, naturally to get all the filing residue off, and she didn't, she just painted right over it. She rushed. And the whole time was talking about how after this fill AKA me she was leaving and she was supposed to be out at 1. She can't wait to leave... My pedicure on the other hand was a great experience, it was a different girl who did that and it was wonderful. I give this 2 stars because of my pedicure. If I had went in just for a fill and my only experience was with Maria I'd advise no one to get there nails done here. read more

Worst nail experience ever! Was very rushed. Asked for shelac tips. They were not straight at all and when I asked for one nail to be redone he was mad. Said my nails were too short. Not satisfied at all. Parts of the nail aren't even painted. He made my cuticles worse then they were before I went in. Definitely will not be going back! After 2 hours of really being upset about my nails. We decided to go back and see if they could fix them. The owner was an absolute a** he treated us like crap! read more

I recommended DC Nails to a friend, and she went online to read the reviews. I'm surprised that there were so many negative comments. But then I looked at the dates!! There are only a couple of "new" comments, and most of them go back a year or more. DC Nails has gone through a rough time lately, when the wife of the owner suddenly passed away. The owner has been going through a few new people, trying to restock his staff. It's been a rough patch for him, but never have I been completely unsatisfied with pedicures. I cannot do my own toes anymore, and I do not get my fingernails done. So I can't speak for hands -- but I am usually very satisfied with the pedicures and the people who do the job. I don't think DC Nails deserved the recent really bad review it got. It's NOT a filthy place, or I wouldn't go there every month. I give it four stars, at least!! read more

Don't expect much. My pedicure was pretty pathetic. For some reason they don't do half the steps most nail salons do. I soaked for 20-30 minutes (when I arrived I was the only customer) my nails were cut and filed, a brief cuticle removal, then a very quick scrub up my leg. Nothing was done to the bottom of my foot and what she did do was very brief. The nail tech did not spend very much time with me, I spent way more time sitting there soaking. Also they do not use a base coat (?) After my pedicure I almost skipped the mani, but then she used a top coat so I figure id be fair and give it a try. The manicure was nothing special either. She stared at the TV through most of it and at one point filed her own nails. I did get a few bubbles in my polish. According to their website they are also a hair salon, but it's just nails. Cleanliness seemed about average compared to other cheap nail salons, the man working seemed very nice and no one was rude to me, I just was not impressed with their services and would not recommend DC nails. read more
