Every time I am in Riverside I head over to D'Elia's - they have grinder bread - so it's a thing you love or don't but I really love - they're messy and yummy. Made to order grinders and I enjoy classic turkey! I do wish they had vinegar but still the yummy is in the bread - crusty outside and soft inside! We are from Vegas, and while in Riverside for a hockey tournament we went to D'elia's for lunch. Our food was amazing, huge portions & everything was fresh. But more than the food... One of the staff, (perhaps the owner? I wish I'd caught his name) came over to see if we needed anything & chatted with us briefly. Upon finding out we were in town for a tournament, he asked what it was called. I showed him the tournament's website & when we were playing next. This sweet man CAME to my son's hockey game! Now that's great customer care. We told everyone else to try it while we were there. I felt it was so kind for him to be so invested. I will forever recommend D'elia's to anyone visiting Riverside & we can't wait to go back when we're there for our next tournament President's Day weekend! read more

The BEST sandwich's around! This place has been around for generations and it's not going anywhere. The food is incredible. The menu is quite large with tons of different toppings you can choose from. What makes it, is the bread! The bread is sooo delicious and home made. For the past yearI never wanted to think it, but I worry for the future of our beloved D'Elias. I'm 50 years old I've lived in Riverside all my life same house Eastside! Sorry with creds presented the quality these past years at first was hit and miss good experience Meh experience I take the good with the bad I ride, now I having more meh sub par experiences which is just okay and I fear it will stay that way. My example: The Bread our saying is if the roof of yo mouth is not a little raw from that oh so crunchy stiff exterior into soft bread it's not a good experience recently the bread has been soft flaccid. I always note extra oil never get it. I hope I don't have to hold on to the memories of past. You base your reputation on your bread right? Thank god they haven't messed with the Capicola yet. Food is great! The sub was huggggeeee. I will say it's more on the pricy side that's why it's a 4 star. I got a full sandwich for about $17. Besides that food is great and staff is great. If you are craving a sandwich definitely recommend. They have many options to choose from also. read more

The bread here is always top notch and always has been in my experience. I've loved the grinders here since childhood and I'm no youngster. Always a favorite especially during summer time. I enjoy their bread so much! It's a simple cold grinder, but the bread hits different. The reason for 4 stars is because the customer service is not always great. It's a hit or miss sometimes on the phone and in person. The last few times have been good though! Placed an order online, and was prompted to leave a tip. I didn't think it was appropriate, but OK, the employees probably don't make that much, so I tipped. When I picked up the order, I asked the employees if they ever got the tips, and they said THEY DO NOT. After speaking with a manager, it was confirmed that the owners DO NOT GIVE THE ONLINE TIPS TO THE EMPLOYEES! I was able to get my tip refunded, but just know that if you tip online, it is going into the greedy owners' pocket! Too bad, because I think the product and employees are for the most part awesome, but I can't condone the owners' betrayal to their customers and employees, which is what this is. read more

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE- I am writing this review to share my experience with others. I placed an online order for 4 grinders. After I submitted payment for my order, an error message appeared on their site which indicated my order didn't go through. Within seconds, I received a text from my credit card company which indicated I had been charged for the grinders. I called D'Elia's and informed them of the matter. They told me the order wasn't coming up in their system although I had used their site to place the order. I had to meet with the manager in person to show her the text and to prove I had paid. D'Elia's should not be offering online ordering when their system is not working properly. I recommend ordering be done in person and not online in order to prevent this situation from happening again. read more
