I wasn't even aware we came at a clutch time until the people after us tried ordering from the menu and had very few options to choose from. We all enjoyed our sandwiches and wraps. Food was much better than I expected and I only ordered a western egg wrap and a small coffee. That was fresh coffee with real half and half. My wrap (which was made in less than a 5-10 minute way) had ham, peppers/onions, salsa, but was all put together in layers. Since the courthouse is nearby, this will be a go-to spot whenever I am in nearby. So many options to choose from, and everyone else's order looked enticing. Prices are reasonable too, which is another reason to return. Super friendly staff. My favorite go-to spot in the fidi area for lunch! I love all their wraps here, especially The Godfather. Their salads are also delicious. Everything tastes so fresh and the best part is that it's probably the cheapest/ best quality in the area. There's also never a wait even around lunch time! I was skeptical about d Elici's 4.5-star rating, but I'd have to agree with it now. That being said, I've only had their Reuben on Grilled Rye Bread (pastrami, corned beef, swiss cheese, red cabbage, russian dressing), but it was Exceptional! They grill the bread with a little butter, give you a ton of meat, the cheese was melted and red cabbage had a nice crunch to it. Overall one of the Best Reubens I've had! I can't vouch for the salads or breakfast sandwiches, but I know people rave about them. About half the people coming in were ordering salads, which also looked really good (especially the Goat cheese one) and you could tell they use higher quality ingredients. Will definitely try one next time. And even though I've only had the Reuben, I'd be willing to bet that d Elici has the best sandwiches in FiDi. Specifically the Hot Sandwiches which seemed to be what most people ordered - the Reuben, the Texas Steak, Pesto Chicken and the Chicken Fajita were the most popular I was told. The place is tiny, only like 3 stools at a counter and two tables that seat two people each, so most everyone does takeout. If you have the ability to eat the sandwich there, I'd recommend it as you get eat it when it's hot & fresh and the bread crispy, and not soggy like when hot sandwiches travel. And the price is a great value for what you get - my sandwich was $8.08 (tax included), they didn't skimp on the meat at all, and use higher quality ingredients. Kept me full all day long. Overall, I highly recommend this place, especially the Reuben! Can't go wrong here. read more

This place is pretty good. It is literally brand new. I was walking by and noticed the awning "soups, salads and sandwiches". There were a lot of people hovering around checking out the menu in the window and people inside ordering so of course I had to check it out! It is very clean inside. Extremely small though. I think they had about 2 tables and a few bar style stools near the window to sit down and eat. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming which is always nice. They have a nice menu with a variety of things. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, pork, swiss, pickles and mustard. It was pretty good. The pork was sliced very thinly. They are currently having a grand opening special to where all sandwiches are half off. So my sandwich (hero) which was supposed to be $7.50 turned into $4.08 after tax. $4 for lunch is great, anyone who hangs around the financial district knows how expensive it is to eat. I even noticed after leaving they threw in a complimentary cookie! I will definitely be returning to try other things on the menu! read more

This is a terrific option for breakfast or lunch in the Financial District. Upon entering this establishment, I was impressed at how clean and tidy the place was. Service was friendly as I ordered a Rueben on a hero. The Rueben includes pastrami, corned beef, swiss cheese, coleslaw, and Russian dressing. You have the choice of getting the sandwich on white bread ($6.50), whole wheat bread ($6.50), white hero ($8), or whole wheat hero ($8). I ordered a Rueben. The first thing I noticed was that they didn't have rye bread which is what you traditionally put on a Rueben. They only have white or whole wheat bread which is odd for a place that specializes in sandwiches. The Rueben was really good though. Instead of sauerkraut the put coleslaw on it which was interesting. It was fairly small so the $8 cost seemed a little pricey. The place was very small with only about 4 seats. I went a little after the lunch rush so it was fairly calm but I can see it getting very cramped at times. I'll probably go back and try to get a sandwich that is more worth the cost. read more
