My only complaint would be that it isn't. It can't possibly be America's finest deli. Arguably not the finest deli in downtown. I have not gone to any other delis nearby. It was fine though. Oh maybe that is what they mean. Finest as in it is fine. Like they could call it the goodest deli. Or the perfectly adequate deli. I have eaten lunch here. Don't recall. It certainly wasn't bad. Had a breakfast sandwich. They got it together fast. I was still taking pictures. Like a crazed tourist. Definitely not accessible. No handicap access. Do we still say handicap? I just want people to know that there are stairs as soon as you walk in the door. If you have a wheelchair you are out of luck. Anyways sausage egg and cheese. I prefer bacon but bacon can be bad in a way that sausage generally is not. You know what I mean? That weird flaccid bacon? Anyways breakfast sandwich was fine. Reasonably priced for the neighborhood. Which is kind of like saying reasonably non violent for a serial killer. The Financial District is pricey. Fairly priced and good breakfast in Financial District. I typically will come here on mornings where I start my day at court. It's located across the street from my office, and right in front of the Rector Street train station. The staff here is very friendly and quick paced. I mostly just get bagels here which are always good and fresh. Everything in the store is extremely neat and they do offer lunch, not just breakfast. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a reasonably priced breakfast in the area- you absolutely will not find the same treatment or price range at Exchange cafe across the street! read more

Work around the area and this place is the go to for food. You can go to Pret, Starbucks, flavors and other places but expect to pay ridiculous prices. This deli has a little of everything that you're craving. The venue is always clean and organized so that's a good sign. Cashiers are friendly and cooks are very fast. I frequently get their sausage egg and cheese on a roll and they are cooked very well. Turkey sandwiches on hero's are banging too pretty loaded for the buck. Burger deluxe is good too. Comes with fries and is a big portion enough to fill me up on break. I haven't tried their salad bar but I'm sure it's good too. The buffet part has a lunch deal with is a good portion for a 6$ lunch, could def use more seasoning but again not bad for the price. Breakfast platters are good too, home fries could be crispier. There is a huge assortment of chips and grab and go items and even have fresh fruit daily. Overall this deli is your go to if around the area. Since this place is right across the street I decided to come here for my midday sugar fix. This place is always empty which is a bad sign. When I walked up to the register, the workers acted like they didn't want to work. I asked for a slice of carrot cake and they charge $5.38 for a small-medium sized cake that doesn't even look that good. When I took a bite into the cake it was dry and flavorless. I distrust most delis and tend to stick with a singular sandwich (lest I ruin my whole day). But America's won my trust after I monkeybarred across their sandwich menu and was pleased every time. (DISCLAIMER: I am a sandwich SNOB. Like the aggravating kind. My friends hate me. Yall dont, though.) NOTE: They also enable my regular addiction to Peanut butter-Banana-Protein shakes. This cut my 15 minute walk (30 minutes both ways) to Fulton Street for a soy/almond milk base -- America's didn't carry soy milk, but they soon stocked their counter with it and now I drink it too many times a week. I've also started ordering juices from them - they're only a dollar or two more than the random stands around FiDi, but the quality is fresher. Today I ordered pick up through Delivery.com, my order was ready when I arrived 25 minutes after ordering. This time I got alfredo romano penne with broccoli and a bottle of rose green tea. Their create your own pasta is a great deal ($3.99 base price, $1 for sauce, $.75 per add in), however, I question the quality of these ingredients. The pasta (I will upload a photo) was very disappointing. The texture of the "cheese" was questionable and everything tasted previously frozen and just not good at all. I feel like I should have went with vodka sauce instead, but who knows if that would have even been good. I'm not sure that I'll be trying their pasta anymore after this. Had a chance to give it a chance today. First glance, it's clean and bright. Looks great to the eye and very appealing. It's been open for over a month so I was happy to finally stop in. Those same eyes were elated when I saw the pastries and desserts. The first thing I spotted was the cheesecake. So I ordered that and went on my way. I couldn't wait to get home and finally eat it. To my horrific surprise there was mold embedded inside the cheesecake!!!! MOLD! The place has been opened not that long so there's no excuse for there to be mold inside the cheesecake. Are they not keeping an eye on the freshness? I think not! It just shows that everything is all shiny but not fresh! I'm really disappointed and I will not be going back.
