I tried the local Bagels and breakfast spot in the financial district of New York City. It's OK spot if you're stopping in for a bagel and spread or a breakfast sandwich Service is pretty quick. I will say they have pretty good music playing while you are waiting for your order!

Although this place was packed with people, the line was well organized, staff handed out menus and the cashier was calm and pleasant. The restaurant was clearly used to handling a busy bagel shop on the weekend and they were very efficient. The food was ready fairly quickly. The bagels were really fresh and the perfect combination of a bit of chewy texture on the exterior and softness inside.

Coming here, it didn't seem too busy today. I got their belly lox bagel. For the bagel, I had egg everything. I usually get either strawberry cream cheese or scallion cream cheese, but I saw that they had a sun dried tomato and roasted garlic cream cheese and decided to get it. I don't usually see that personally so I was glad to try something different!

Really, really good NYC bagels. Warm and chewy, with just the right amount of bite! They even have delicious gluten free bagels! Stopped by for breakfast in the Financial District before heading to Wall Street and the WTC. Service was friendly and efficient. It was a bit crowded, which is a sign of a great eatery, but we didn't wait long. Limited counter seating inside. Clean, bright, great vibes.

I ordered a Too Good To Go surprise bag from here and was pleasantly surprised! I was given more than a dozen bagels of different varieties and all very fresh! Fresh being the kind where the bite is soft and chewy. The bagels are also pretty sizable! I can't speak about ambiance or service, as I was only there to pick up the bagels. But, 12+ fresh bagels for $5.99 is a deal! I appreciated the owner waiting for me as I arrived slightly after the pick-up time. Based on the bagels alone, I'd give this place 5-stars and I'd most definitely welcome returning here for a proper meal.

we came at around 3pm on a saturday afternoon. it was not super busy at this time. i wanted to pay cash but their cash register that took cash was being sorted at the moment, so i had to pay card, which was a bit annoying but not the biggest deal. given that the store wasn't too busy, our bagels were ready in just a few minutes. they hand you the bagel over the counter with a smile which is a nice touch haha. these bagels were HEFTY and thick. i got the whole shebang on an untoasted plain bagel. the bagel texture was perfect, a nice crisp exterior with the perfect chewy soft inside. the cream cheese was delicious and as with any cream cheese nova bagel, the flavors all just melded together so perfectly with the tangy and soft cream cheese, the crunchy cucumber, sour capers, and melt in your mouth nova. this was just a perfect bagel sandwich. i was sad when i took my last bite. as per nyc standards, this bagel came out to $18, quite expensive. but i'm thankful that at least it was so so delectable.

Excellent New York Bagels! We stayed in this neighborhood on our last visit to NY and I decided to try Leo's Bagels. Very happy to report that their BEC sandwich was just perfect.

Pricey but super delicious bagels! Got sesame with scallion cream cheese and lox, and a garlic bagel with egg, cheese and bacon. Fun experience ordering and eating in their tiny space. I'd definitely recommend!

Sun-Dried Tomato & Roasted Garlic cream cheese on a green everything bagel with tomatoes (st. patrick's day)
    Christina L.

Got sun dried tomato and roasted garlic cream cheese with tomatoes on a toasted green everything bagel (they were sold out of normal color everything bagels when I went, and instead they had a green version for St. Patrick's Day). A pretty good place for a bagel. The cream cheese wasn't too crazy or slathered on too thick and the flavor itself was yummy. The bagel was fluffy and not toasted too hard, and I loved the seasoning on top. The roasted garlic pieces really added a nice flavor. Would return again if I was in the area.

Great choice for a NY bagel. We had poppy seed, plain, and a black and white cookie. Can't go wrong with Leo's.

Pickled veggies, fresh falafel, the works. The waffle was also delicious and it had an addicting maple-butterscotch sauce that kept us coming back (I wish I ordered one just for myself it was that good). Can't wait to come back, Banter Brunch days will definitely be a part of my routine.

Despite being undercooked, the steak was surprisingly tough and chewy, and it did not seem like a quality cut of meat considering the price. The waiter was friendly and provided good service, which was the highlight of the visit. However, due to the uncomfortable atmosphere, slow food service, disappointing drink, and poor-quality steak, I would not recommend dining here.

My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water.
