I reserved on ClassPass and received a confirmation of my appointment via email from ClassPass having appeared all was good to go. After I drove 40 minutes, they emailed to cancel 10 minutes before the appointment and then wrote a nasty email stating it was on me to also make an appointment through their website, which was not stated on their ClassPass page. I went here once in 2008, years ago to try the famous Dionne's lashes. I was told that the glue they used to adhere the lashes were hypoallergenic but when I got home my eyes started itching so badly. I called Dionne to ask her what was going on and she told me that there was no way that the glue could've irritated my eyes because she used surgical glue. How could she have known that I wasn't allergic to surgical glue just as some people can be allergic to common things such as peanut butter? I paid $300 and tipped $50, for a total of $350 out the door to have lashes that were promised to be hypoallergenic. After a few days, without any way to take off my lashes, they started to fall off, one by one. I was told they could last from 1-3 months but they started falling out after several days. It looked so funny with sparse eyelashes here and there that were longer than the rest, along with my puffy, itchy, irritated eyes. It only took two weeks for every single lash to fall out on its own. Although Dionne does great work and is highly acclaimed by all the top beauty magazines, and her work looks really, really natural, I would not come here again. When I had an allergy to the lashes and called her, she should've suggested a remedy for me and not tell me that there was no possible way the medical glue could have been the reason for my irritation. I was so happy when all the lashes fell off and never went for eyelash extensions ever again. Now with so many places that do extensions, and more affordable lashes available, I wouldn't spend $350 on lashes that irritate and fall out after a few days. read more

Here's an update for my first touch-up session with Dionne. It had been 5 full weeks since my original application, so I was really pushing it for the recommended time between application (2-3 weeks!). By the time I got there, my lashes were feeling pretty 'shaggy' and wonky, like I when you know your hair desperately needs a trim for it to look good again... I was also concerned because of the long delay in the touch-up that I might have to pay for the full service again (which wasn't in my budget). Imagine my surpise and delight when Dionne said I still had lashes intact, and that for the lengthy time, that they were in 'great shape' in her opinion. She graciously applied the 'touch-ups' with no nagging, or suggestions that I come in more quickly next time at all. And I'm back to my look with basically no make-up again (I love!). I was pretty careful in shower, washing face, etc. trying not to get lashes wet. if possible. Dionne says it's OK to do it and to just 'brush them up into place' afterwards, but I'm thinking this may have helped my application last so long maybe? I know there's other lash services out there, and I may try one sometime just to compare, but I doubt I'm going to find the experience both quality-wise, as well as personality that I will with Dionne. If your lashes did ever bother you, as you mentioned strangers even noticed that something was wrong with your eyes. Did you bother calling D'Lashes to discuss the problem? Did you give D'Lashes/Dionne an opportunity to rectify the problem or your mangled lashes? (If there was one) If your experience was soo bad from Dionne checking her business emails BEFORE you walked into the studio..did you mention anything? And I'm quite sure I would have checked all of my "important emails" BEFORE you've arrived ( after a long awaited 15 minutes...whew!) into the room. Just to ensure that I was not checking them rudely in front of you. I apologize that I had to be your insecurity to make you feel unimportant. No one EVER makes you feel that way except for your self. Your feelings are only controlled by you. In any case, my What ever would have bothered you on any day. I went to D'Lashes after purchasing one of her "Party Flare Lash" specials from Livingsocial.com. I've had lash extensions done before from other salons, so I was totally stoked when I found her $42 special. I love love love getting my lashes done, but the "Party Flare Lashes" are NOT the same as your typical lash extensions. Normally, lash extension is ONE synthetic lash glued to one of your natural lashes, but the "party flare lashes", advertised as 3 lashes to one, is one of those "bundle" lashes (6-7 lashes) glued on one or more of your natural lashes (I say one or more because they're too big/heavy to go on just one of your natural lashes). Dionne explains all of this to you during your visit, that it's not one lash per lash, but rather 6 or more lashes per lash. The lashes looked really great for a night out on the town and she did a wonderful job putting them on, but I was disappointed because I was expecting something more natural looking. You can tell that the lashes were fake and not very appropriate (i.e., too heavy) for daytime. Usually, when you go to a store and buy fake lashes that you apply on your own, you can get the ones that come on a long strip, or the individual lashes that come 6-7 lashes clumped together on a knot (which is what the party lashes pretty much are). When I had the Party Flare Lashes on, you could see the little knot where the lashes are glued, and so you could tell they weren't "mine". My rating is pretty much based on the product, and the fact that it's misleading. The photo on her website of the Party Flare LAsh is, in my opinion, pretty inaccurate, and does NOT actually look natural like it does in the photo (because you don't see the little knots/base of the fake lashes in the pic like you do when she puts them on). As I mentioned earlier, I've had lash extensions done before from other salons and they're supposed to look natural, so just be informed that the Party Flare Lashes are NOT the same thing and do not achieve the natural look that you get from typical lash extensions. Dionne, herself, is very friendly, professional, and a likable person. She clearly has a lot of experience and has been doing this for as long as lash extensions have been around. She is also very accommodating and really wants to make sure you're happy. I liked her a lot, just not the product. If you're willing to spend more money, she offers "one lash per lash" extensions also, but they're pretty pricey. So, just to be clear, I'm only disappointed in the product and how misleading it was (prior to purchasing) My review is, of course, just that: MY review. As you can see, she has many satisfied customers also, who have had only positive things to say about her products. I just wish I had known beforehand what I was getting, bc I probably wouldn't have purchased it then. read more

Upon meeting her, she was really friendly and outgoing. I felt like I knew her for years. The lashes they put on me were very artificial looking, itched like mad (lashes I've gotten at other places never have, so no sensitivity issue on my side) and were applied so badly that they blocked my vision and fell off lash by lash in a horrible way.
