This was my first time here, but the party I was with have enjoyed this several times and raved about their chicken wings. I shared the loaded fries, onion rings, and boneless chicken wings served with ranch and habanero sauce. The chicken wings were my favorite. They had a tasty dry rub on it. I thought the habanero sauce was tame, but tasted great. The fries could have used more seasoning and meat. I actually didn't even realize there was meat in the dish until digging through it. The onion rings were crunch and flavorful. Personally, next time I'd pass ok the loaded fries. I do commend this establishment on their management. I did experience a problem during my meal. A server accidentally dropped a few sides of ranch while delivering the meals, and it landed down the back of my jacket. They not only covered the dry cleaning bill, but also covered the cost of the jacket when the stain did not completely come out. Visited Ray J's on Saturday, 12/20/25 around 2:30pm with a group of 8 after a family event. I hadn't been here in years, so expectations were neutral. Decided to split a few appetizers: onion rings, boneless wings, and fiesta fries. The food was decent overall, but the fiesta fries were a bit disappointing and overly messy with too much cheese (I don't remember them being like that). I'd probably try a sauce on the wings next time. Our server, Nicole, was fine but nothing memorable. Also worth mentioning, gratuity was automatically added to the bill. One thing I appreciate about Ray J's is their large menu with many options. Lots of tv's available for sports watching and pull tabs. read more

We had a large table of 20+ and had a great time! Most of us had wings and drinks, and everything was tasty. Decor is casual American themed. There was a pull tab station, dart boards and some toy crane games in the corner. But we came for the WINGS! My fav flavor was the Asian Sesame (salty sweet), but my hubby prefers the Nutty Rooster (spicy peanut butter) and the Bomba (dry rub). Service seemed to struggle with our very large group, but that's understandable. Many ordered items were forgotten, or came out very slowly. A friend brought me a wood-fire Margherita pesto pizza from Ray J's American Grill, and I genuinely couldn't believe how badly something so simple could go wrong. A wood-fired Margherita pesto pizza is supposed to have a crisp, lightly charred crust, rich melted mozzarella, bright tomato, and fresh, flavorful pesto tying it all together. This had none of that. The crust was dry and stiff instead of crisp, the sauce was barely there, the cheese didn't properly melt, and the pesto looked like it was added as an afterthought. There was no freshness, no balance, no depth -- just bland, underwhelming bites from start to finish. When you can't execute tomato, cheese, pesto, and dough correctly -- especially with a wood-fire oven -- that says everything. I didn't even dine there, but based on this pizza alone, I won't be making the trip. read more

I really hope someone in charge sees this review, because this was genuinely one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We had a 5:45 PM reservation for today, party of four. When we sat down there were no napkins and no silverware, and when the appetizer came out we had to prompt the waitress for serving plates. One of us ordered a rack of ribs, "a full rack of ribs" was exactly what was stated for clarity. They instead brought out a prime rib, and then disappeared without any communication about it -- we had to flag down someone to make sure the right item was being prepared. I ordered the Rueben, and chose to pay the $2 for a salad and $1.50 for an upgrade to waffle fries instead of chips. Upon asking the waitress if I could do a Caesar salad instead of house salad for that, she said yes without any further clarification. Imagine my confusion when the salad was $10 on the bill! When questioned the waitress stated that was because I couldn't do the upcharge for both the salad and the waffle fries, which makes no sense because salads are add-ons (and it was worded as such on the menu) at every restaurant ever, while the waffle fries were a direct substitute for the chips. They refused to correct the charge. The salad itself was very bland, and the Reuben was dry and had very little taste. When I asked for a side of thousand island to make it digestible, the manager promptly came out and rudely said "we make our Reuben's New York style". Great, clarify what that means on the menu. People see Reuben and think Reuben, and even so, it seemed very arrogant for the manager to try and prove a point like that-- I was politely asking for a side of a sauce. Do not come to this restaurant. Unattentive staff, deceiving menu descriptions, and arrogant managers. Like other reviews have stated, the location and building is nice but they're doing everything they can to prevent return customers. read more

The food we had was not very good. My ribs were hard and it felt like I was chewing through shoe leather plus there were little pieces of bone in them. I left about half. The fish of my brother's Fish & Chips was burned plus and wasn't moist and flakey like cod should be. Both our dinners came with a salad but we were both charged a dollar extra because either it was a Ray J salad that we didn't ask for or we were charged for the salad dressing. The waitress didn't seem to really know why. We were part of a big group and there was not enough cutlery on the table. Several people had to ask for cutlery so they could actually eat. read more

Have you ever had a place you really want to like, but each experience just prevents you from doing so. It's a great building , lay out, has lots of bourbon so it's not the offerings that I don't like. It's really the feeling of not being welcomed, hard to explain but I always feel that I'm doing something wrong or have offended them some how.. just get the vibe that I'm not welcome. Not sure why. Ray J's American Grill has potential, but the wings are hit or miss. When the wings were good, they were some of the best I've ever had--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, the inconsistency makes it hard for me to fully recommend them. Some wings came out underwhelming, which was disappointing after experiencing how great they can be at their best. With more consistency, this place could easily be a go-to spot for wing lovers, but for now, I'd say it's worth a try if you're willing to take a chance. read more

You can tell it sits under the warmer for a while so when it's served the cheese is hard which made eating it harder as everything is stuck together. Visited this location multiple times, it's always hoppin! Big space inside, they can't fit a lot of people. If the parking lot is full that doesn't necessarily mean they can't get you seated. Wings are where it's at. All the flavors are good but Smokey Ranch dry rub and Dragon are prob my faves. Important to note these are the full size wings with drummie and wing attached. We always get a salad to share, the dressing is kind of funky but I like it. They have pull tabs, nightly specials, silent raffles and probably a lot of other promo/events I don't know about. Definitely good spot for 1-2 people and belly up at the bar or a group since they do have a lot of seating. read more

Yesterday, I was craving Wings, I do enjoy a good order of Wings, but sometimes it's hard to find a place where they are delicious and spicy, but don't take away from the flavor and taste. I've had the Wings before, but didn't have anyone to go with. I decided to go by myself, the craving was that strong. ha I went during Happy Hour, I got the Wings, and the Dumplings. I haven't had the Dumplings before, but I was impressed, I really liked that they were fried. I would have liked a side of Soy Sauce, but that is just a preference, and I probably would have gotten some if I had asked, so my fault completed, but still really good dumplings. The dining area had just opened up when I arrived, so I could pick a booth kind of in a corner. It was nice so I didn't feel completely uncomfortable about eating alone. They have free wifi (unsecured), so I just connected, and watched Netflix, and ate my food in peace. I apologize, but I forgot to look at my waitress's name, otherwise I would definitely give her a shout out. She was attentive, but not a helicopter. I didn't feel rushed, she answered all of my questions, and didn't make me feel bad about wanting to just eat alone. I've had overdone wings at this location. The rest of the food isn't as good as NE The wings are bomb-ass, five stars just for this. Asian sesame. My God, it's good! A little expensive, $9 for 4 wings, right? But worth it. Just the right amount of crunch with super tender meat. I do go out of my way for them but have a better experience at the NE location. Even my family likes it; great burgers, excellent sandwiches. Really good brunch, the breakfast sandy with pretzel bun is super good. Just good quality and great prices. The wings I ordered were good portion full sized wings but it had the extra crispy hard chew to it as when you over fry chicken, the meat becomes very hard and dense. The nachos portion was good also but the cheese which was melted, when brought over had already froze on there like plastic. Lots of nachos but little of everything else like meats & veggies. Everytime we come here the food is really tasty. Granted my husband did not like their boneless wings bc they are too breaded. But he likes the beer selection. I ordered half original fried and half drunken wings. First off, I was not able to eat them all, that's how much they serve you, a nice large portion.
