They look like they came off a Cornish hen when I called and talked to the manager who was rude. I told him that the wings I received were really tiny and I live 45 minutes away so I was not willing to drive back that day. He told me that's weird because today we're selling our jumbo wings. There's no way in hell. Those wings were jumbo wings that shit look like hummingbird wings. He really seemed full of himself because there's no way he would not refund me but he gave me 50% off my next visit which I do not want to visit because if the wings are that small, how am I gonna feed my family not worth a trip I do have to say the flavor was good that's it. read more

We thought we'd try Wing Joint tonight, it was good. The seasoned wings were really heavily seasoned, I've definitely hit my sodium level for the day. The front counter folks were very friendly, and if you have to eat there, they have 4 or 5 booths for folks to eat at. They have a predominantly take out game, folks were coming in and out while we waited for our wings to go. They were fried perfectly, so that was a positive. They were not huge wings, more mid size, but they came whole. 12 wings for $22 after taxes was a tad pricey, but it also came with a large sauce. I didn't expect much going in but the Wing Joint completely blew me away. Usually I'm not a super fan of wings but these were so good. The seasoning was delicious, the skin was super crisp, and the meat was so tender and juicy. The prices are reasonable, the wait time isn't long, and it's so worth it! After having a disappointing Wing experience at another local wing joint in anoka, I was still craving wings and decided to give this place a try! This place did not disappoint!! This is a no frills, hole in the wall joint that does chicken wings and ribs. When I walked in the place smelled so good, and I just knew I was in for some good eats! My recommendation is to order ahead! This place was popping! I waited 15 minutes for my food but it was well worth it! They packaged it up with some paper to keep the items piping hot! I loved that! I got onion rings which were crispy and delicious! The wings had a unique flavor, if you have had hickory hut in Saint Paul, it was similar to that. The wings had a light and crispy outside, flavored to perfection! The inside was juicy!! If you are a ranch lover like I am, just know the ranch they are serving tasted like hidden valley ranch and is not made in house. There is plenty of parking but very little inside seating, so it's best to order your items to go! They also only sell cans of pop. This place was delicious!! Overall, the food was good and flavorful. The staff was helpful on the phone with questions regarding their menu. The restaurant itself was small. There were six tables that seated 2-4 people. There is a real lack of places serving quality fried chicken in the Twin Cities. And I don't just mean the area comes up lacking compared to like Memphis or Dallas. Believe it or not, there are cities in the Midwest that have great southern food. Or maybe just one. But Chicago definitely has good chicken. You know the situation is bad here when people are pushing grocery store chicken like Cub Foods. The season wings at Wing Joint are fantastic fried chicken. The season is so good that I dream of a world where they open up the menu and serve breasts and thighs and drumsticks made exactly the same way. Sadly, at the moment they only have "broasted." Which may appeal to Midwestern diners but doesn't cut it with my southern taste buds. Aside from the food being great, the service is friendly and the price is fair. The onion rings are also exceptional, though I was disappointed they don't offer ketchup or have some in the bag for a take order. As a nice bonus, their carry out was in a paper bag (not plastic!) and each item was individually wrapped in more paper to (I assume) keep things hot and fresh for the journey. read more

I love their chicken. Took a chance one day and became a once a month regular. The seasoning is so good on this chicken, it seems to have a hint of cinnamon flavor. The wings can be on the smaller side so keep that in mind when ordering. The flavor is worth the size. Chicken is fresh every time, usually 20 min wait. Ordered the 24 wing family platter Buffalo flavor, 12 seasoned wings with sweet and sour. The wings come while not chopped as the traditional wings. Many flavors and can have them with dry rub. The seasoned dry rub wings were crispy and pretty good. Flavor was spot on. The Buffalo flavor wings were very mushy and could have used more time cooked. But the Buffalo sauce was really good. They have the best wings in my area and it's the full wing, drum+flat+tip counted as one wing. BDubs ain't got nothing on wing joint! I got really excited when I found a locally owned wing joint in Blaine!!?! Wow. It was definitely a fun experience as I was a huge fan of the wings joints like Shorty and Wags, Harold's Chicken, Hook, etc. Well all those places old and new are deep in the hood, and to find a similar place down the street from the new Cub that looks like Kowalski's was really strange. The place looks just like what I expected of a wings joint: clean, fun, and cafe like, but not too suburban, corporate, or trying to be something they're not. I was there on a Sat, and they were still running their lunch special: 4 whole wing basket with fries and a drink for $7.99. Score! The wings came pretty quickly, and I was impressed that they were well seasoned. Not as good as Shorty and Wags (which doesn't exists anymore), but tasty nonetheless. They were well prepared, not dried, and they were nice and moist. The fries were the right kind of crisp, but really not seasoned. For a wing joint I expected the fries to have either cajun or seasoned salt on them. After a little while I suspected MSG, because by the third wing my enthusiasm had went from a 9 to a whimpering 4, and from a 5-star to a 3-star review. Darn it I hate when that happens. The buffalo sauce was simply Red Hot poured directly from the bottle. Not hating. Just stating. I did walk away a little hungry... One little thing that I wanted to mention. Of the time that I was there, ALL of the clientele that came through the door were people of color: Asians (me being the 4th), African-American, and African. And yet over the speakers they were BLARING classic rock. For a wing/BBQ joint, I really had a hard time understanding this choice of ambiance. Just what were they going for? Recently, I was here for my first time in years. Stopping in I really forgot what I was missing with the local bbq joint. I have to say that not only was the service top notch, but so was the food. Once I ordered for my take-out order it took only 20 minutes for me to receive my food. For my meal I decided on the four wing meal which was only $8, which was a really good deal. Having potato salad, bbq baked beans, and some fries really added to my meal. I really liked how the chicken wings were really crisp and fresh, with some added crunchiness to them. They really took their time to make sure my order was done right. I also liked how the potato salad really felt like they had that homemade quality to them.
