I was met with hostility and another bill from a different mechanic to fix the issue. I'm actually in shock when we called him and he told me to come down to his shop to "talk man to man", the guy seemed to be a stand up, honest mechanic and we were initially extremely happy with his work. The cost of everything when they fixed our vehicle was $6,000 back in June. The mistake was $800. Not a stand up guy. Not honest. Would not recommend.

I called Crash 1 inquire over their experience with triple coat metallic paint as well as to get a feel for how they would stand behind their work. I spoke to Sharon in the office there and in addition to the paint, I asked how closely they are able to get body panel seams/openings aligned to factory specs. She replied that was the first time anyone had ever asked her that question and she would inquire with the owner. She calls me back that afternoon and doesn't answer my questions, but instead informs me they can't help me because they are backlogged 3-4 months. No way any repair shop is that booked. Not unless they are doing very high-end custom work. With only two Yelp reviews, they aren't that busy or are really blowing people away with their work. I had a friend call and act like he was in an accident and just needed his car fixed in a hurry. Oh, how that changes things. On speakerphone, I heard Sharon tell him they could take his car in on Monday (we called them on Friday, the day after I was told the months delay). What it comes down to, in my opinion, is they don't want tough, detail-oriented work with a vehicle owner that wants a highest quality possible job.
