Visited several times during the Obon season at different bon dances on the island. Lines can be long (at the bon dances), but is worth the wait. Andagi is served hot and fresh. Friendly staff and very reasonable pricing. Credit cards are accepted, but sales tax is added to the transaction. Definitely a must try!

I'm surprised i liked this place! I went the Wednesday before X'mas and they were not there in front of Don Quixote. Then I went back before X'mas and they were there. There were 2 men frying up the andagi. Meanwhile the lady was collecting the cash. I wanted to buy a shirt but there was no merch available. CAsh only. Quick service. Perfectly crafted and not too sweet.

Fresh, fresh, freshly made delectable bites of andagi (Okinawan donut). Guy Ujimori, is otherwise known as "Da Andagi Guy,". He and his family make delicious and tasty andagi. This spot is located at the Don Quijote Kaheka location. Da Andagi Guy is here only on Wednesdays. Service is always quick and with a smile. You really can't beat the price at a dozen for $5! You can order plain or with cinnamon sugar. It comes to you hot and placed in a paper bag. No real ambiance here because it's in a tent like booth with hot oil in a wok to cook the andagi. Keep your distance!

They are located outside Don Quijote Kaheka on Wednesdays from 9:30am to 5:30pm and Don Quijote Waipahu on Sundays 9am to 5pm and Tuesdays from 9am to 5pm. I'm in town, so I visit the pop up on Kaheka on Wednesdays from time to time. Their andagis are excellent. They fry it on the spot, so it's hot and fresh. For me, andagis need to be eaten right out of the fryer. Once it's cold, I'm not feeling it. They have andagis down to a science. The size is perfect. It's not too big where there's a ton of dough. It's light and airy on the inside. You can get it plain or with cinnamon sugar. I've had both and the cinnamon sugar is too sweet. The plain hits the spot. Two pieces for $1 or a dozen for $5.

I can't wait until Wednesdays again for andagi @ Da Andagi Guy! My daughter miss eating andagi! She requested for some during her short visit here. This is one of her favorite treats! I mentioned to her that we could go grab at the Moilili Bon Dance Saturday night, which was not a great idea, over 2 hours wait! She said, " it's ok" Luckily Da Andagi Guy's pop up happens to be on Wednesday, the day she leaves. I had to make sure we made a stop for her, for her fix. Da Andagi Guy is at front of Don Quijote on Wednesdays only from 9:30 am- 5:30 pm. Prices increase, use to be 3 pieces for $1., now it is 2 pieces for $1. or dozen for $5. They are cute bite sizes, not oily, so perfect, so good! It is fine with me, I am happy that there's a spot for Andagi close by me. Who doesn't love Andagi?! ( Okinawan donut) Look for the white tent and the lines! Note, if you pay cash, no taxes! Service was quick and friendly! All in all, I am happy that my daughter got her Andagi in before she left the islands, she took the rest back and I was only able to have one piece, so this is why I can't wait to go back next Wednesday for more!! Available in 2 flavors but our favorite is the original.

I've seen Da Andagi Guy posted up outside Don Q in Honolulu so many times, but finally tried it today because, well, why not? They're only there on Wednesdays, so I figured it was the perfect chance to finally see what the hype is about They only sell one thing - Okinawan doughnuts - and you can either get regular or cinnamon sugar. The prices are pretty great: 2 pieces for $1 or a dozen for $5. I decided to grab 2 (one of each flavor) just to test the waters Honestly, it's solid! Very well-fried and fresh, which is always a win. The doughnuts are dense, way more than I expected, but still soft on the inside. The sweetness level was just right, not too much, so you don't feel like you're eating a sugar bomb That said, nothing really blew me away. They're good, but not great. It didn't have that extra something to push it to a 5-star experience for me, but if you're around on a Wednesday and craving a little snack, it's worth checking out

We happened to be at Don Quijote the day the stand was open. We saw a line of people and decided to get some. Such delicious Okinawan donut balls! It only comes in 2 flavors - original and cinnamon. We got the dozen and had to slow ourselves from eating them too quick haha

"I had the urge to examine my life in another culture and move beyond what I knew." - Under the Tuscan Sun Perhaps the best deal in the world! Okay I'm getting carried away since you can still purchase a cheap villa in Italy's countryside. But, how can one ignore $1 buys you three ping-pong sized Andagis! Many call it Okinawan Donuts, and many more have no clue! Da Andagi Guy is that elusive girl you wanted to date in High School, but she was only available on Wednesday afternoons lol. Once in my routine when I lived in Honolulu for work. Yet, this Cali boy doesn't miss much about Honolulu, well maybe Don Quijote runs, sunrises, and Da Andagi Guy on Wednesday! Back in Honolulu on a Wednesday and in need of goods from Don Quijote and guess who's out there selling Classic Andagi for $1 and Cinnamon Andagi for $1, yes the Andagi Guy lol! I pull two crumpled dollar bills out of my pocket! Hella yea! No tax! No fees! There's always a line but it moves fast! I'm 5th in line and a no-brainer to get one bag of Classic and one bag of Cinnamon - $2 holla! Cash paid and piping hot Andagi passed to me! These amazing ping-pong sized fried doughnut bites pairs well with any drink! Freshly fried and piping hot is what you'll get! Ohhh! Trust! This recent trip was maybe my 20th visit, but it's so routine that I don't even recall my first or tenth visit. However, I do recall when a dollar would get you four ping-pong Andagis! Hey, let's not get greedy as three for a dollar is still a steal! Unless you're Diane Lane in Tuscany looking for that perfect bachelorette pad?!

    Wednesdays only at this location

Um just so good! I don't often like donuts but I could eat all 3 at once (just $1 by the way). If you aren't familiar with Okinawan donuts, they taste a little bit like Chinese sweet donuts that you eat with congee. The flour or the batter has some sweetness to it. I only have been to the location outside don quijote on kaheka Street. They are there only on Wednesdays, which makes it even more special. As I remember, there has always been a line but the line moved really fast. The staff there was friendly. The donuts were hot and fresh and they were so delicious! Sometimes I plan my grocery shopping days at Don Quijote on Wednesdays ha ha. If you never been here, please do yourself a favor, and try this place out!

    Best Andagi Ever!

Most andagi are really big. The problem with that is the crispy crust to fluffy interior ratio is way off. Da Andagi Guy makes them perfectly! Just the right size to enjoy the crunch and fluff in every bite. Your choice of plain, cinnamon sugar or a mix. Each order comes with 3 andagi for only a dollar. The only thing I would want to change is for Da Andagi Guy to come to Don Quixote more often than just on Wednesdays. Then I could have my craving for hot, fresh and delicious andagi more often!

    Jo-Anne S.

I recently read an article on da Andagi guy and it was nothing but great things. Just do happen i made a stop at "Daiei" Kaheka on Wednesday and was wondering what this long line was all about. Yes, a long, long line! Indeed, they were all waiting for andagis. Don't let the long line discourage you because it does move quickly. If they run out and new batch is in the making, it's about a 4-5 min wait, but worth the wait! Choices are original or Cinammon. 3 pc andagi for 1.00 and they are little bigger than bite size. It's delish when eaten when warm of course, nice warm and crispy! da Andagi guy visits the Pearl city location on other days but only come to town in Wednesday's. It's a must come to try if you haven't had a piece yet! Service is also great, do support local!

I've been to so many and each and every one is very unique where you can find either fashion runway stage, live street art, or even a dance night in the barn. I just love the vibe SALT and surrounding Our Kaka'ako brings with the vibrant art we're so blessed to have and this particular night (November 19th) there was actually much more shopping just perfect for the holidays and the party went further down to Ya-ya's. Tonight I was fortunate to have gone after work so I kept it short but found some awesome treats. Some straw toppers to add to my holiday gift giving and some cheesecake cups (OG, Strawberry and Cookie Butter) of course I got one of each to share...ate the Strawberry which of course omg was yummy!! Not too sweet as the Strawberries was just perfect as I tried to get an even scoop of it all in every bite. Walked further down and honestly wasn't in the mood to wait too long for anything found something that would just exactly work for me. I ordered my first food at "Mega Load Burger", they had choice of sliders and the infamous pineapple bowl with your choice of shrimp, pork, or kalbI. You can even choose fried rice or macaroni and cheese instead, even though it was dark and I couldn't see my food I really enjoyed the flavor of my garlic and rice, they had chunks of pineapple at bottom which made it a little difficult to eat with a plastic fork, but I appreciate they didn't waste it. My boyfriend ordered what we thought was an elote or Mexican corn from "The Corn Project" it was very good but the corn was so small, was a bit expensive for $6. We finally decided to get drinks at "ICE HNL" we saw they had bloodbath drinks on Instagram but were out so we ordered the smokin drink love potion instead, which was good made a instagrammable photo. I also checked "Eat The Streets" page and saw Postmate and Aokis shaved ice was giving away free shaved ice! I thought it was a awesome way to give everyone some nice free treats, make sure you tip! As we were leaving I of course saw a table of donuts laid out! Modo donuts was selling mochi donuts for $2 each and I had exactly $4 left so I asked for cookies and cream and my boyfriend got the matcha flavor. I've never had mochi donuts in my life and I'm so upset I didn't buy more! It was so chewy and delicious my boyfriend tried to steal mine and I had to swat him away! Most business accept card but they have an ATM in the park Incase.
