    This is the only signage to show you where the place is on Ualena St. by the airport. It's across the street from the whale building.

    Never mind standing in the lines at the food truck! Go to the bakery where they make it! It's by the airport across the street from the whale building! See the map! They're open from 7 AM to 12 PM every day seven days a week! You will miss it. They're not very large signs. But look for the green letters on a small sign across the street from The whale building, Ewa of Jolene's. It's not really set up as a store, but they will sell you the bread right there! Just ring the bell if the door is closed. They take cash and card! I worked in the area for years and never knew they had a store there!

    Five stars. The food, their bread is just plain ono!! The variety of other flavors they have is just simply mind-blowing. So delicious! Their service is excellent. They're now inside of Pearlridge next to the escalators, Uptown side. Always friendly and super helpful. The ambiance is cool. A pop up table set up next to the escalators. Low overhead cost and pretty much to the point. Highly recommend trying it out. You won't regret!

    The truck no longer stops at Triangle park in Kahala nor in Hawaii Kai. Only at Pearlridge and ? Waianae. BUT they now have a kiosk on the ground floor near the center stage, across from the Croc store. Same flavors and specials. They now sell mini size too ($10). Still soft and yummy!

    Molokai Breads are very soft and huge! The filling in it is perfect ratio to the bread and all are tasty good. They have so many filling choices to choose from, strawberry and cream cheese, blueberry and cream cheese, cinnamon and cream cheese, cinnamon and butter, and ube cheesecake. Each month, they have a special filling. This month, November, their special is pumpkin. They are usually at the Windward Mall's farmer's market on Wednesdays and Sundays. They are always sold out! The sellers are so nice and friendly. Being in the mall, there can be crowds at their stall so head to them first!

    Per their Instagram page, they posted that there is a kiosk near Ala Moana Center, Street Level 1, near center stage. Hours are from 10:00 am.I finally made it and met an employee. Per employee, bakery is owned by George Kanemitsu and their Oahu bakery location. There are plain $8.00, mini flavored $10.00, and regular flavor $15.00. 6 flavors to choose from. On both side of cart, bread was displayed in an organized manner. My purchase was mini strawberry guava. When I got home, I tasted the bread which was soft, light, and sweet from strawberry guava and ate half. I plan to come again for regular.

    Since I have yet to have this fresh, I can't give a full, fair review. I got me a taste of this Guava Cream Molokai Hot Bread as a gift from my neighbor... man, I literally ate 75% of the entire loaf... BY MYSELF! **Yikes!** haha! But it's THAT good!! The bread itself was soft and fluffy, while the cream filling was sweet and tart from the guava jelly with cream cheese spread. Perfect for when you have the munchies!!

    Originally only available on the island of Molokai, Molokai Hot Bread is a cute little food truck that gives folks on Oahu a chance to enjoy this incredible bread. They're at a different location all over the island each day and we heard they often sell out quickly. After missing them one day of our trip, we made the trip out to Waipahu extra early to make sure we caught them before our trip was over. They have a lot of delicious flavors, but I absolutely loved the Ube Cheese Cream. The bread has a 2 day shelf life before you have to refrigerate it. You can even bring it back with you and freeze it to enjoy at a later time. If you freeze it, throw it in an air fryer at 250 degrees for 10 minutes and it'll be good as fresh!     Truck is parked along Lanakila park every Fridays. I've tried the blueberry cream cheese, Lilikoi, ube, and cinnamon. Love them all, including the plain. I love that there are no preservatives, but we usually consume it within hours of bringing it home. The texture of the bread is awesome; recipe hasn't change. We eat it plain or lightly toasted. Love that we get now get fresh Molokai bread on Oahu. Support local businesses, folks.

    Their bread used to be really good like soft and chewy type good. Not sure what happened but it seems like the way they bake their bread has changed, it's more dry and flaky on the inside. I thought ok maybe this batch is just a "bad batch" so I gave it another try went back another week to get more, again bread was very dry. I told myself, I don't think I want to try it again. Months came and I decided let me try again, again their bread was dry! I've come to the realization that this is how their product is just is! I honestly miss how it was a couple years ago very chewy and enjoyable to eat. The filling is still good but they don't put as much in the bread as before. I get it they're probably more busy now which is probably why they lack the quality of their bread these days. I hope they take this as an eye opener.

    HO! If you like bread.... Get it! Stand in line in the sun and soak up dat vitamin D. Check their website for times and locations. Huge loaf with your favorite filling right down the middle. Best when hot to slice fo near equal servings of filling. Cuz you know who going get more wen just squeeze and tear off my piece.     To get fresh Molokai bread in Oahu is awesome! Love that I can order, ready in less than 30 minutes and hit it before going to the airport.

Through close friends with family roots tracing back to Japan, I've developed a deep appreciation for the culture -- the discipline, the rituals, the precision, and the respect for process. There's a beauty in the intentional pace at which things are done. Nothing rushed. Nothing careless. This bakery embodied that philosophy perfectly. The space itself was small, modest, and aromatic. No overdesigned interiors. No influencer bait. Just the comforting smell of fresh bread and butter hanging in the air. Some bakeries hide behind elaborate architecture and presentation, but this place understood something more important: when the product is exceptional, the product becomes the attraction. The pastries ranged from playful and charming to elegant and refined. The Salt & Butter bread was an instant staple -- savory, warm, and impossibly light. The dough practically dissolved like air. Thankfully, nothing felt overly heavy, because I completely lost control of my ordering strategy. The Kobo Kuma -- a soft bear-shaped bun filled with homemade vanilla bean custard -- was perfection. Equal parts cute and comforting. The Cinnamon Roll was solid, but the Haupia pastry completely stole the show. For those unfamiliar, Haupia is a traditional Hawaiian coconut pudding found throughout Polynesia. The flavor here was subtle yet lingering, delicate without disappearing. The kind of flavor that quietly stays with you long after the last bite. Then came the Blueberry Danish -- beautiful, buttery, and perfectly sweet. I didn't even make it to the savory options this time, which honestly just gives me another reason to return. And I absolutely will -- whether back here in Hawaii or perhaps at one of their mainland locations in Los Angeles. Some places become popular because of hype. Others because of quality. This bakery earned its line.

Even though they mixed up the custard one, the other flavors were great. The service was faster at the main bakery. I learned that they also serve coffee so next time I'll head there and try the coffee too. Totally recommend going and trying all the flavors if you can. Heads up that there is no seating so prepare to pick up and go. Also, the parking lot is pretty small so I recommend parking in the Safeway parking lot across the street. It's a mini shopping center so should be okay to park at for a quick stop.

Pandan coconut tapioca pudding: Pandan pudding, coconut tapioca, topped with coconut macaroon. This seems to be a seasonal/limited item. Their desserts are from b patisserie, and they all looked soo enticing and pretty! It was a nice place to sit and leisurely enjoy coffee and pastries. I would say this place is not worth it right when they open, only because the line is soo long and it's very hectic with people fighting for seating and getting their orders in. I would recommend going later in the morning or in the afternoon to avoid the morning craze.

However, there are many alternative malasada purveyors throughout Honolulu, so I depended on local vloggers to find the best ones. This one popped up often on YouTube, and as luck would have it, we were dining at The Pig & The Lady on the next block. How calorifically convenient. We took the opportunity to stop by for a pre-dinner snack since they closed at 6PM. It's a cute shop with multiple sweets including quite a selection of housemade ice cream and delectable mouthfuls called Cake Bombs (Photo 10). We decided we would be good and ordered one unfilled Malasada each. Dusted with various sugar flavors, they were just $2.65 a piece. I went for the Coffee, while Jamie chose the daily special, Cinnamon (Photo 6). They were soft and tasty, quite comparable to Leonard's albeit a tad smaller. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing since we had dinner ahead of us. However, we let temptation get the best of us and shared a $5.50 slice of the Ube Haupia Mac Nut Bar, a yummy combination of sweet potato and ube topped with haupia (coconut milk pudding) on a macadamia nut crust (Photo 9). Truth be told, it stole the show from the malasadas. I'm happy to see a local business thriving but I hope they can improve their customer flow. The baked goods looked as inviting as always but they seemed a day-old or something. The butter horn was hard and not flaky as I've come to expect and the chocolate of the Boston Creme donut wasn't creamy. They may wish to consider: 1, Clearly delineating the line for the restaurant from the bakery. It was super busy for both so there was a lot of confusion. 2. Perhaps placing the number machine for the bakery closer to the door? Tourists aren't familiar with the system so it leads to some unnecessary dissatisfaction. 3. The staff had to leave the counter to get coffee - hot or iced. The condiments for the coffee were on the showcase so people had to be in everyone's way to get their sugar and cream. In fact, if you were standing near the door you had to go through people waiting in line back into the establishment to get those items. But, with all this, the two ladies at the counter were remarkably composed and helpful.
