Five stars. The food, their bread is just plain ono!! The variety of other flavors they have is just simply mind-blowing. So delicious! Their service is excellent. They're now inside of Pearlridge next to the escalators, Uptown side. Always friendly and super helpful. The ambiance is cool. A pop up table set up next to the escalators. Low overhead cost and pretty much to the point. Highly recommend trying it out. You won't regret!

The truck no longer stops at Triangle park in Kahala nor in Hawaii Kai. Only at Pearlridge and ? Waianae. BUT they now have a kiosk on the ground floor near the center stage, across from the Croc store. Same flavors and specials. They now sell mini size too ($10). Still soft and yummy!

Molokai Breads are very soft and huge! The filling in it is perfect ratio to the bread and all are tasty good. They have so many filling choices to choose from, strawberry and cream cheese, blueberry and cream cheese, cinnamon and cream cheese, cinnamon and butter, and ube cheesecake. Each month, they have a special filling. This month, November, their special is pumpkin. They are usually at the Windward Mall's farmer's market on Wednesdays and Sundays. They are always sold out! The sellers are so nice and friendly. Being in the mall, there can be crowds at their stall so head to them first!

Per their Instagram page, they posted that there is a kiosk near Ala Moana Center, Street Level 1, near center stage. Hours are from 10:00 am.I finally made it and met an employee. Per employee, bakery is owned by George Kanemitsu and their Oahu bakery location. There are plain $8.00, mini flavored $10.00, and regular flavor $15.00. 6 flavors to choose from. On both side of cart, bread was displayed in an organized manner. My purchase was mini strawberry guava. When I got home, I tasted the bread which was soft, light, and sweet from strawberry guava and ate half. I plan to come again for regular.

Since I have yet to have this fresh, I can't give a full, fair review. I got me a taste of this Guava Cream Molokai Hot Bread as a gift from my neighbor... man, I literally ate 75% of the entire loaf... BY MYSELF! **Yikes!** haha! But it's THAT good!! The bread itself was soft and fluffy, while the cream filling was sweet and tart from the guava jelly with cream cheese spread. Perfect for when you have the munchies!!

Originally only available on the island of Molokai, Molokai Hot Bread is a cute little food truck that gives folks on Oahu a chance to enjoy this incredible bread. They're at a different location all over the island each day and we heard they often sell out quickly. After missing them one day of our trip, we made the trip out to Waipahu extra early to make sure we caught them before our trip was over. They have a lot of delicious flavors, but I absolutely loved the Ube Cheese Cream. The bread has a 2 day shelf life before you have to refrigerate it. You can even bring it back with you and freeze it to enjoy at a later time. If you freeze it, throw it in an air fryer at 250 degrees for 10 minutes and it'll be good as fresh! Hands down one of the best things we got on the island and wish they were closer so we can get more! - -- -- - Ube Cheese Cream Cinnamon & Cream Cheese Strawberry & Cream Cheese

Truck is parked along Lanakila park every Fridays. I've tried the blueberry cream cheese, Lilikoi, ube, and cinnamon. Love them all, including the plain. I love that there are no preservatives, but we usually consume it within hours of bringing it home. The texture of the bread is awesome; recipe hasn't change. We eat it plain or lightly toasted. Love that we get now get fresh Molokai bread on Oahu. Support local businesses, folks.

HO! If you like bread.... Get it! Stand in line in the sun and soak up dat vitamin D. Check their website for times and locations. Huge loaf with your favorite filling right down the middle. Best when hot to slice fo near equal servings of filling. Cuz you know who going get more wen just squeeze and tear off my piece. GMonkey prefer UBE and CINNAMON BUTTER but also have: STRAWBERRY GUAVA BLUEBERRY CREAM CHEESE COOKIES & CREAM depending on their monthly schedule $8-15 each. From their website: Using original recipe since 1935, Kanemitsu Bakery on Molokai has partnered to bring the world famous "Hot Bread" to Oahu! GMonkey always support Local.

    Strawberry guava bread, dry bread.

Their bread used to be really good like soft and chewy type good. Not sure what happened but it seems like the way they bake their bread has changed, it's more dry and flaky on the inside. I thought ok maybe this batch is just a "bad batch" so I gave it another try went back another week to get more, again bread was very dry. I told myself, I don't think I want to try it again. Months came and I decided let me try again, again their bread was dry! I've come to the realization that this is how their product is just is! I honestly miss how it was a couple years ago very chewy and enjoyable to eat. The filling is still good but they don't put as much in the bread as before. I get it they're probably more busy now which is probably why they lack the quality of their bread these days. I hope they take this as an eye opener.

Got our hands on some Molokai hot bread! Wasn't hot when we got um tho....lmao! Nah my wife got these from my nephew, his school was doing a fundraiser so gotta support! We got blueberry and a cinnamon one. Always so good and very ono! No photo of the cinnamon one because we gifted that one to grandma!

Found this as a recommended shop on Yelp. Truly enjoyed the freshness and softness of this bread. The filling was a perk. I ordered it on grubhub and picked it up shortly after. I picked it up at the industrial warehouse and not the food truck. I ordered the haupia and the cinnamon & butter flavors and was so excited to try it I immediately dug into it in the car. Would love to toast these also and try them. Will be back and don't worry- I'll tell all my friends too! Molokai Hot Breads was posted on a site I follow on ig and didn't give it a second thought till more suggestions came up! Thanks Molokai Hot Breads-onolicious!

Cravings satisfied!!! Saw ads all over social media, looked their IG up and followed. They have their schedule on their Instagram. I know for sure Sunday is at Pearlridge. Decided to swing by on my way home from work and pick up, blueberry creamcheese, strawberry creamcheese, cookies and cream cheese and ube creamcheese . Sooooo delicious. What you ask for is what you get. The bread is soft and they fill it up sooo much that you have the perfect amount of bread and filling ratio! I thought I was gona have more bread than filling and be disappointed but NOPE NOT HERE! On top of selling yummy cream cheese filled flavored bread. They also have amazing customer service. I felt welcomed at a food truck and I felt happy to be leaving with all my bread. They greeted me, thanked me for coming by, made small talk and shared advice on the bread, heres 2 tips I learned. Store bread in freezer for up to 4 months. Also, keep cookies and cream cheese in freezer for an hour or so and eat it. Taste like cookies and cream icecream sandwhich. I tried it and it did!! Give it a try! You won't be disappointed!

    Haupia-so ono!

Where is the Molokai hot bread truck today?

The website is unreachable due to security issues (no https connection) best bet is to call them at (808) 772-8400 to find the current location.

Is it okay to leave it out? or do i put it in the fridge?

I would suggest fridge because of the creamcheese. And also, in the freezer, it lasts for 4 months.

Hubs had to fast from 6 am for his 2 pm surgery so I thought he would probably be starving and would enjoy a delectable salt and butter roll from here. At $4.50 a piece I consider this a luxury for us. I found a close stall in the parking structure. A very cheerful polite male employee took my order. I had seen two occupied tables as I walked into the shop. Both had matcha drinks. Why not? I asked the young man assisting me, what's the best matcha drink? He said his favorite was banana matcha with extra banana foam. Okay I'll try it. He repeated it to the cashier. So popular there was a wait for beverages to be prepared. Soon enough mine was ready. I think Doc would enjoy this drink. This shop is a working bakery. Many yummy pastries displayed. Menu is posted high up above to choose from. Rather tiny shop with room for customers to stand in line to order and wait for drinks. Clean, busy with a few tables and chairs outside but pretty much in direct sun.

This one popped up often on YouTube, and as luck would have it, we were dining at The Pig & The Lady on the next block. How calorifically convenient. We took the opportunity to stop by for a pre-dinner snack since they closed at 6PM. It's a cute shop with multiple sweets including quite a selection of housemade ice cream and delectable mouthfuls called Cake Bombs (Photo 10). We decided we would be good and ordered one unfilled Malasada each. Dusted with various sugar flavors, they were just $2.65 a piece. I went for the Coffee, while Jamie chose the daily special, Cinnamon (Photo 6). They were soft and tasty, quite comparable to Leonard's albeit a tad smaller. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing since we had dinner ahead of us. Table for 11 the morning after the 4th of July without a reservation? What, like it's hard? You…read morecan't make reservations here, but they do have an iPad that you can be added to their waitlist. Even though it was rather busy, we were seated within 10-ish minutes and got their biggest table outside. And right next to their butter roll grill- score! We had 11 people including kids and teenagers and there's really something on the menu for everyone here. Even my picky nephew was able to find a milkshake and add an egg to their ham and cheese croissant. I got their mahi mahi breakfast and upgraded to get their fried rice. Mahi mahi might not sound like a breakfast food for most, but it's one of my favs that I used to get from their OG location and I hadn't had it in so long. And that's the best thing about Liliha Bakery, there are so many local favorites that you can get any time of day. My mom got the oxtail soup (I got a bit of plate fomo from that). The rest of the table got breakfast classics: pancakes w/ a side of spam, 2 eggs + bacon, steak and eggs etc. The butter rolls here are so good and love that they come complimentary but I do believe there's a charge after the first basket.

Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. Our waitress seemed to be having a rough day. The table behind us had to send food back three different times because they kept receiving the wrong orders, and there was about a 30-minute period where our server completely disappeared. We had to ask another staff member for our check and to-go boxes. She also never came back to check on our table or refill our water. Everyone has off days, so we're hoping that's all it was. We'd definitely come back because the food was so good--we just hope to have a different server next time.
