Dash For Da Donuts #11- spontaneous edition. We Did It! The Dash made it for 2026, a last minute, "hey we didn't do it yet" to keep the streak alive. Bought some of their soft delights met with some Yelp Elite "King Pins" from the Yelp community- Nadine, Kim and Roz Spontaneous, because this was a spur of the moment celebration of a long running event of the donut community that was added to a meet up with one of the original dash participants 11 years ago that lives on the mainland. Donut King has hosted our dash multiple times over the years- we plan to do a more "formal" uye dash Nov or Dec to coincide with their Hawaii founding and 10th anniversary. Update 7-11-26 Donut King their flagship store located in the Market City Shopping Center . Now I believe they're all over Waikiki, Kailua, Kaneohe . My go to is their Croissant Holes . If you haven't try it yet it's a must . That's my favorite more than the donut holes . Service is fast and friendly and I decided to get a long John as well. Dare I say it... Donut King Hawai'i might have some of the best donuts on the island. Everything is always so fresh, soft, and seriously delicious. You can taste the difference. My personal favorites: maple bacon, strawberry sprinkle, chocolate sprinkle, cinnamon crunch, and of course, you can't go wrong with a classic glazed. Service is just okay, but honestly the donuts more than make up for it. For each donut, it's a bit on the pricier side, but totally worth it for the quality. Thought to give my work besties a treat for the holidays and thought of Donut King Hawaii one is that they open early enough (6am daily) to swing by this Market City upper level location is convenient with lots of free parking just steps away from their front door and two the selections they have are fun and unique. This cozy spot is quite popular with lots of folks up early picking up lots of these yummy treats as I decided on six donuts (Red Velvet, sprinkles, chocolate dipped, toasted coconut, bacon maple and old fashioned) and six donut holes for just options is nice and the staff there work very fast and efficient so that I was on my way just minutes from arrival. Love that they had so much to choose from that I didn't and will probably be back for the long John, croissant and even croissant breakfast sandwich they do have coffee frappe and lots of grab and go drinks available as the convenience here is just about everything. After trying donut king years ago, I've never even considered going to Krispy Kreme, or any other donut shop. Literally like biting into little pieces of heaven. Yeast donuts melt in your mouth and are so moist you'll never end up with a dry one. My dad enjoys his cake donuts and is also a huge fan. They've got bacon and maple donuts which are also a great option for sweet and salty. Also can't go wrong with classic glazed or sprinkles. My husband and I were near Kaimuki today, and decided to get a sweet treat at Donut King in market city shoppingcenter. We haven't been there in a couple of years, and they were great! Customer service was great! As soon as we walked in, the young girl behind the counter acknowledged us, and asked if we were ready to order. The store was clean. We gave her our order and was in/out very quickly. They did not disappoint! The donuts are incredible. Don't get me wrong. I ordered 6 glazed, 3 cinnamon crumb and 3 chocolate sprinkle. Total came to 38$ I tipped 10%. Then was told before even handing me the box I owed 8 more dollars. Their machine reflected my payment went through and so did my bank app but they told me I still owed more. They did not refund my 8$. That's like a gallon of gas lol. So I basically paid like 52$ for donuts.... That makes me hesitant to return read more
