Pasta with chicken and broccoli rabe
    Adriano M.

Great Italian restaurant in Litchfield, probably one of the better ones in the area. Food was delicious, fresh and good portions. Tried the pork chop it's was tender and perfectly cooked, the eggplant chip appetizer is large enough for 4 people so be careful because you may not enjoy your meal. The pasta with chicken and broccoli rabe was tasty. The room does get a little loud probably because of the large dining room. Parking can be a challenge too. That's how you can tell it's a good restaurant. I will be back.

Our top takeout pizza spot! The quality ingredients like a non-sugary tasty crust, fresh veggies and meats, and good size for the money keep us coming back. We usually order through the slice app and food is mostly on time. Staff is nice, the restaurant itself is clean and slightly upscale.

First time at Da Capo and it was delicious! Our server Tatyana was wonderful! We had the pasta fagioli, fish and chips, margarita pizza and Cesar salad. The cannoli was so good! Everything was fantastic along with the service. We will definitely be back.

Anniversary dinner @ Da Capo for my family! Service: unsure of our servers name, but he was very attentive! He also was incredibly helpful during a low blood sugar episode, which we cannot thank him enough for. Ambiance: part of the reason I gave 4 stars: the patio looked gorgeous, however the interior booths could use updating- ripped leather doesn't really scream cute. Most importantly, FOOD/drink: highly recommend the zucchini chips, didn't get a picture because we ate them so fast! Gamberi pasta is very filling and delicious, was not expecting the spice it packed but overall good flavor! Drinks: highly recommend the strawberry limonada! The peach sangria that was on special was more raspberry vodka forward, but it was drinkable. Unfortunately, my espresso martini came with 0 foam and 5 beans (for an espresso martini girl this is heartbreaking). Would return and sit outside to experience that and give their espresso martinis another try

Great food and Amazing service! We have gone to Da Capo's for years and their food is always solid if not great. The one issue I've had with Da Capo is the quality of service, which is usually sub-par. I decided to book a table for our anniversary this year because we hadn't been there for a while and my wife and I both enjoy the food. We were very happy with the Margherita pizza and Gamberi pasta dish along with Da Capo chips for an appetizer. Our server, Matthew R was INCREDIBLE! He was very attentive and made our dining experience wonderful. My wife and I ordered everything with the idea of sharing all plates. Matthew proactively asked if we would like the kitchen to split our plates before he brought them out even though we never let him know our plans on dining. Matthew also asked if we would like to finish our appetizer before he brought out the entrees and made sure to keep our drinks refilled. I cannot recommend enough having Matthew as your server, he has really made dining at Da Capo a pleasant experience. He offered recommendations when we decided to branch out a bit on the menu as well. Matthew R is one of the best servers I've ever had and I noticed he worked all of his tables with the same excellence.

Lasagna absolutely delicious! Would have baked for 5 more minutes to get color on the top.

Quite an improvement over a meal we had here 2 years ago. My criticisms this time are constructive, and in earnest, a way to help them restore this restaurant to the once glory it had when they first opened. This is the closest they've been. I don't repeat my reviews or rewrite them unless there are improvements and I always give local businesses a second chance. Let's start with the waitstaff and hosts. When we arrived there were three ladies at the concierge podium and they all greeted us. We directed the host to where we wanted to sit, and she accommodated us with no problem. The lot was full but the restaurant was at only 1/3 the capacity, but there was a nice, warm friendly atmosphere. Within minutes the water was brought over by a young man. He was friendly and cordial and set the table as well. Then we were greeted by our waiter. A curly haired young guy who was friendly, well-spoken and attentive. The food: We ordered a Chicken Caprese and Lasagna. The Caprese was delicious. But the area of opportunity here is the white stracciatella drizzled on it. With this dish, which has become somewhat of a traditional dish, you expect it a certain way and when it comes out so different, you are immediately unhappy, then you adjust. The reason why this dish needs to have fresh mozzarella balls and not a squeezed on white stracciatella, is because you want to pick up the tomato bite, the Mozzarella ball or bite , and the arugula and the chicken in the same bite, with the four distinct flavors. The peppery arugula, the crispy chicken, the acidic tomato, and the creamy cheese. This dish gets messy after three bites, and all the flavors get mixed and there's no more distinction. I had a bite and found it to be delicious, but I could see after a while that it became too muddled. Please reconsider this dish, but it just doesn't work for its intended eating experience. Also dishes that looked like things are squeezed out of a bottle, tend to look amateur. The potatoes were delicious, but with so many piled on this dish, it's obvious there is skimming on the protein. A traditional Caprese chicken is pounded and flat and should take over the whole dish. Usually, Two pieces. Finally on the Caprese, my partner got this dish because he is diabetic. So the protein was the most important part, and in the end it ended up being a carb heavy dish. The Lasagna: Very quick criticisms here. When it came out I was happy about the generous portion. I was lucky to take a piece home and will have it for lunch today. The sauce that surrounded the dish was absolutely delicious but overwhelmed the lasagna which had very little sauce in between, but this is likely why it stayed together better. So, perhaps the same amount of sauce is necessary, but the dish makes it look like it's soupy. A flatter less of a bowl shape would show the sides of the lasagna better. The lasagna itself was tight and composed, and not a nasty sloppy mess. I could cut at it with a knife and it stayed tight. The cheeses, ricotta, the meat, were all delicious and beautifully constructed. I just wanted it to have some character, a little burnt on the top, some caramelization of the cheese on top would have been great. There were some pieces of the shredded mozzarella on top that were not melted and that could have been cooked better. Overall, a very good dish, and we took the potatoes and half the lasagna home. The prices were reasonable on some dishes. Some like the single portion of the Penne a la Vodka with shrimp, would have cost over $34 The atmosphere: The banquettes are a bit worn and the plastic covering on the tufted black backs of the banquettes are coming off and might be time for them to be replaced. Always instills confidence when the atmosphere is clean and kept up. The gas fireplace was on, and that was a nice touch on a winter night. Overall a solid experience and some areas of opportunity to make it better can be seized. We will come back, and you should too!

While the entire meal started off with a salad, of course, the next appetizer was the tagliatelle Bolognese and the pasta was definitely the main star of the dish. I could tell that the pasta was homemade as it was very light and flavorful. The Bolognese itself was well balanced and not acidic. I chose the lamb for dinner and I was very happy with the port wine reduction, and impressed with the light compliment of the sunchoke puree. The herb crust executed on the lamb was extremely flavorful and not too earthy. While I was really going back-and-forth between the Seabass and the lamb I am happy. I chose the lamb for the main course. Panna cotta for dessert and I'm happy I chose a lighter option to fishing the evening. I feel like after all of the courses I had the Panna cotta really completed the meal. It was perfectly silky. I could tell the cream was delicately infused with lemon and the blackberry couli was a nice touch to add a level of flavor to the dessert which didn't overpower the panna cotta itself. Overall, I'm really impressed. Especially since I was in attendance with a large party. All of our dishes came out in a timely manner and were well spaced to really appreciate each dish. The cocktail menu and the wine selection was also very impressive and I feel like the amount of options were well balanced, many of which would complement each dish. Our service was great! The servers were friendly, personable, and very prompt with bringing out each dish. I especially appreciated how authentic each server was. The girls we had were especially helpful in assisting us in our selections in which options to choose off the menu based on their favorites. Overall, I would highly recommend coming to this restaurant if you want, authentic, flavorful, and delicious homemade Italian dishes. I can tell the chef puts time and effort into each plate not only in building these flavors but also presentation. Coming here, would be great for dates, special events, anniversaries, and to have a nice night out with the family, friends, and someone special.

After one dinner, I can confidently say: waiting that long was a major strategic error on our part. Walking in, the ambience immediately hit us. It felt transporting -- like one of those small, incredible places you stumble into somewhere in Italy. And I don't mean the "strip mall, giant portions of red sauce, Sinatra on repeat" Italian spots (no disrespect... I'm from New Jersey, I was raised on those). I mean real deal, authentic, thoughtful Italian cooking in a space that feels intimate and special. The menu is focused, authentic, and clearly executed with confidence. Honestly, I have no food allergies and at one point I realized I could probably close my eyes, spin around, point at the menu like I was playing darts, and be thrilled with whatever showed up. We committed fully to the experience: multiple appetizers, entrées all around, dessert, coffee -- basically the kind of ordering strategy that makes a server look at you and think, "These people came to eat." And somehow each dish was better than the last, which is both impressive and slightly unfair to the dish that came before it. Service was warm and attentive, though a little mysterious in structure. Several different people helped us throughout the night and none identified their roles. At some point I stopped trying to figure out who our official server was and just assumed Geppetto's operates on some kind of Italian hospitality relay team system. Whoever it was, they were all great and made the night feel personal and welcoming. Now for my two pieces of feedback, offered with genuine affection. First: our charming rustic wicker farmhouse chairs had just a touch of sag. Three members of our party are over 6'2" and about 240lbs, and there was a brief silent moment where we all wondered if the chairs were about to become part of the evening's entertainment. Thankfully they held strong. If those chairs could talk, they'd deserve a glass of wine. Second: the bread was fresh and delicious but leaned toward a very crusty baguette situation. Great bread, but it made some appetizers a little bit of a jaw workout. I'd love the option of butter or olive oil alongside it. But honestly... if those are the only things I can come up with, that should tell you everything. If you haven't been to Geppetto's, go. If you have been, go again. It's one of those rare places that feels elevated without feeling pretentious -- the kind of restaurant that makes you slow down, order dessert even when you're full, and immediately start planning when you can come back. After waiting ten years to try it, I can promise you one thing: We will not be waiting ten more.

We went there on 5/26/26 for my 43rd birthday, my husband surprised me with reservations for our family of 3 as we had been wanting to try Tramonti for a few months after hearing rave reviews from our friends and family! The restaurant is very comfortable with lots of seating options including indoor tables, a seasonal outdoor eating area and covered patio. We were quickly seated by our server in the patio section and got our drinks in record time. The menu is vast with a plethora of choices that all look positively appealing to those of us who enjoy Italian fare. They also have a very wide array of "adult beverages" in their wine list/drink menu as well as a great selection on their dessert menu. We ordered the Antipasto and we all throughly enjoyed it! Then, we were gifted with a complementary order of some delicious mussels. I ordered the Veal Marsala, my husband ordered the Veal Parmigana and our son got the Shrimp Scampi. While initially I thought those who had recommended Tramonti to us were being overly "dramatic" about the portion sizes...they surely were not! Definitely plan to come hungry and leave full with LOTS of leftovers to enjoy! Our food arrived to the table very quickly, everything was cooked perfectly and you could feel the attention to detail in every single bite of your meal. Toward the end of our meal, the chef came out to introduce himself and wished me a Happy Birthday. While I know it sounds silly...it felt like you were eating dinner at a family members or friend's home. Your glass is never allowed to go empty of your drink of choice, the servers check in on you to see if you need anything and just make sure you're enjoying your meal...it's a very comfortable place to have a nice dinner! Since our dinner last night I haven't been able to stop raving about Tramonti to everyone! We already have made plans to return in a few weeks with our good friends and fellow foodies from Portugal!!! To the Staff of Tramonti: Grazie di Tutto.
