I loved my haircut from Pamela! She is so skilled and knows exactly what's best for your hair type. I showed her a couple of photos and she knew how to create the best style for my face shape. I visited Da Hair Maui on July 19 for a gray root touch up and Japanese straightening treatment. That evening, my scalp began burning, swelling, and itching. By the next morning, my hairline was visibly damaged and painful. I was later diagnosed by a dermatologist with severe irritant contact dermatitis caused by the treatment. I am now on two prescription steroids to manage the reaction and inflammation. I reached out to Pamela, the stylist, with medical documentation and photos. Instead of expressing concern or offering support, she dismissed the issue as "its an allergic reaction" and refused to take responsibility. and when I said the least she could do was offer a refund, she told me to "go file your complaint." This experience has been physically painful and emotionally upsetting. I've spent the past days treating what is essentially a chemical burn to my scalp. I trusted this salon and walked away hurt, embarrassed, and ignored. I paid for a professional service with the expectation it would be performed safely. I do not recommend this salon. If something goes wrong, there's no accountability. you're completely on your own. read more

I saw the shop next to my gym and wanted to check them out. I made a walk in appointment for a certain time, I walked in 30 minutes early, and Pam took me in. She's quite the conversationalist and her input on how to shape my haircut was very informational and helpful. This shop surpassed vibe check that's for damn sure, pleasant staff and good energy all around. I'll definitely return to them in a month or so, my sides are growing quick. read more

Pam was sweet fun to talk to a little unprofessional by doing two girls at same time it was not pleasant to have to share her time with somebody else but all n all her correction on my box color was well executed . I didn't mind how my hair turned out but I was telling her to charge me the appropriate amount that she felt she deserved and it was over 400 $ ( balayage was hmm 222 but with the color correction it came out to over 430 so with a 20 % tip it was 500 $ . Well I'm not used to paying that much for my hair I've been to many salons so I'd love to give a 5 star but only 4 because of the price matters and that did not include a cut so a little pricey but her kindness made up for it she was a pleasure to be around and her salon was very very cute I give the salon ambiance a 5 star and I do recommend her if you got deep pockets if you can afford it then go to her but if your on a budget beware . 4 stars only because of the price . I luckily had enough . $ and it's also my fault too for not asking the price ahead of time . But I did have the shock factor at the bill . I just paid and left I don't like to complain . It is what it is . But I will leave this review to warn others who may be on a budget ( do not go if you are broke ) but for those with extra money it's a nice place to be in . She knows hair . I needed a last minute hair appointment in Kihei and stumbled across Da Hair, a spot in South Kihei at Azeka, and I'm so glad I did! Walking in, I was greeted by Pamela, who turned out to be my stylist and was kind from the start. The interior is cute and modern, giving off a fresh vibe. I even complimented a girl leaving with a gorgeous haircut; her hair looked amazing, and it gave me confidence in the place. I'd been tired of maintaining my blonde hair for almost a decade, so I wanted to go darker, closer to my natural color. Pamela walked me through tons of ideas and options, then suggested something I wouldn't have thought of: keeping some blonde but transitioning to brown with tiny highlights. She worked her magic, and the result? I'm obsessed. The brown blends perfectly with my natural level 7, and the blonde peeks through so seamlessly, I doubt I'll go back to full blonde anytime soon. I wish I had a photo of their new location. It's easy to find in the Azeka shopping Center. It's next door to Powerhouse GYM. It's a great landmark to find this beautiful salon nestled in central Kihei. I have been going to Jennifer for over a year and pleased every time I go. I am a person who gets tired of my hair style or color easily and she always helps me re-think my style and/or color. The new location and renovations sparkle as you walk in the door. You will feel comfortable with Jennifer as she guides you to a better look. If you feel nervous about changing to a new salon, check in with Jennifer. I think you will be pleasantly pleased. She has been doing hair for over 20 years and has a rich background that stems back to Manhattan. She's done hair for musicians, models, and actors In New York.
