I was so excited when i found this place because i love healthy food and smoothies. The food and smoothies are bomb but this thick black hair in my sandwich RUINED my day and I wont be coming back. I came in and showed them this picture and they comped me for a new sandwich BUT didnt comp me for my entire order which made me feel like they obviously didnt care too much. I'm very annoyed with this place and WILL not be coming back. I have always walked here from my place and spent 8$ min on a drink as to always add boba and whey protein to my medium or large drinks. After receiving a free one I decided to order my usual drink expecting I can upgrade and pay the difference for whatever additives AND upgrade needed but they would not allow it. How is that not even allowed?! I have always recommended my neighbors in my apartment complex to come as this place not only was conveniently walking distance but good but after this insane experience I WILL not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone ever again. 10/10 would not come back again. It is located next to the Portos Bakery off Brand. The parking situation isn't great but you can usually find a spot in the parking lot behind the building (you can access off Central or California Ave). It costs 75 cents an hour which isn't bad. If you are getting take out, one quarter is more than enough. They have a back entrance you can access from the lot. What I ordered: --California Veggie Sandwich ($6.42) = incredible! I'm not a vegetarian but once in a while I enjoy something on the lighter side. --16 oz Strawberry Delight with real apple over concentrate ($3.25 + 50 cent extra for the apple) = exactly what I was craving! Wish there was a way to give this place 1/2 a star. The first time I went here i had a breakfast burrito that had mashed potatoes in it. Second time I went, i bought this monstrosity. While the burrito was disappoint, it was waaaaay more palpable then this pitaya bowl. I don't expect them to make everything fresh, but maybe the KEY thing the bowl is comprised of should be. The pitaya definitely came from a frozen bag that had been thawed and the REFROZEN to become freezer burned. I don't even want to begin to speculate how long they've had it. Even if it wasn't freezer burned, it STILL wasn't good. It was clearly not natural. It's most likely drenched in syrup and other flavorings. Not even the way it's served seemed right. Maybe it was because I took it to go, but they scooped two balls of pitaya layer a light amount of granola and topped it with bananas and strawberries. And how much was it? 10 flipping dollars. Me and my husband love our Green Tea bobas. The Boba were nice and soft and the drink wasn't too sweet. I thought that this would be a green tea on ice, but it was more like a slushed green tea, most likely made from a powder. My husband also had a ginger shot. They have sandwiches and lots of healthy options to choose from like Acai Bowls, which I love to eat. The breakfast burrito is super tasty too, get the green salsa. I have a juicer at home and also make my own Acai bowls and boba drinks from pearls that I buy at the grocery store. I probably won't be here all the time unless I'm being crazy lazy. This place is the best juice bar ever. Their Asian chicken salad is always fresh and delicious. The chipotle chicken sandwich is perfectly spicy and flavorful.
