Wow this place impressed me. Overshadowed by Porto's next door, this small unsuspecting shop has a huge menu and makes a fantastic açaí bowl. This bowl is huge, it's like I got two for the price of one. They serve their açaí in two frozen, heaping scoops like sorbet. Not blended like other places. I realize now that this is the only way açaí should be eaten. It looks like they sliced a whole banana on top, strawberries, and a lot of granola. Can't accuse them of being stingy. I'll have to come back and try their pitaya bowl and hot food too. No seating inside. It looks like they moved the tables outside for COVID precautions. There's only two or 3 tables so it might be hard to find a spot if you're here with a group. The closest parking is on the street/metered and there's a pay lot behind this stretch of shops. So I was super craving a dragon fruit smoothie and there isn't a Mother's Market around...and I yelped around for a dragon fruit (pitaya) smoothie. Da Juice Bar was one of the results, this location is on Brand right next to Porto's. To be honest, I wasn't ever going to just try this place walking in off the street...I think it's the name but...It's pretty darn good. They have a wide assortment of different juices and smoothies to choose from. I decided obviously to choose the pitaya smoothie which comes with mango and banana? I ordered the largest size 32 oz with a complete nutrient add in. (you get one add in free) that's $11.50 and then the husband wanted a 32 oz cantaloupe smoothie...with a bee pollen add in...$11. I also got a ginger shot which was fresh $2.75. I have to say my smoothie was great, my husband's not as great. The bee pollen gave the smoothie a weird texture. I can't say anything else about their food because I didn't order any...but overall as a juice place, this place is great! With so many food places around to choose from, I always end up choosing Juice Bar. The food isn't too overwhelming and doesn't leave me in a food coma when I need to go back to work. It does get busy around 12, but I've been coming around 12:30 lately and it is pretty cleared out by then. The employees are super patient and just want you to have a good experience. Also, they have alkaline cucumber water that just makes me feel a bit more healthy that day. This place has an overall calm environment and you always want to come back. They raised their prices! There is also a $10 card minimum so I got charged an extra 50cents. In total for a small smoothie- paid $6. Would not come back again. Their food is also nothing special. So plain and not worth trying. It is also super loud and crowded and takes a while to get your drinks and food back. read more

This review is solely on the virtues of their açai bowl. I am a latecomer to trying açai bowls -- never had one until 2019. Now I've tried them at three different places, and Da Juice Bar has the best of them. A generous portion of açai, bananas and strawberries, granola -- delicious and filling. I add cacao nibs to mine, which gives the bowl a chocolately crunch without adding too much sweetness. You can also add in nutritional supplements to their bowls or their smoothies. The price of the bowl is a little higher than at some competitors, but I think it's better in quality and bigger in quantity. Seriously, this bowl is a good choice for any meal of the day. Service is friendly, too, although sometimes a little slow. Park in the Orange Street garage just a block away and it's free for the first 90 minutes, no validation needed! read more

Great place to go on Brand Blvd. Really good juices/boba, really good wraps. I've yet to have their breakfast items which I plan to next week. Very good portions, friendly service and they use alkaline for everything, even for washing their produce. All in all a good spot, I definitely recommend. I went here to get boba - I love boba! The place looks very Hawaiian and full of color. They have decorations and fresh fruit laying around the counters. It just makes you feel healthy by just being there. They have a variety of flavors of boba. I decided to go for the mocha flavor since I also was craving that coffee flavor. I quickly realized that they don't just serve juices - but food as well. I glanced at the menu and saw they have different wraps and sandwiches that looked very healthy and satisfying. Let's face it, I'm Asian. The gene that used to let me enjoy milk products turned off like a decade ago. The smoothies I drink need to be made from the milk of almonds or soy or coconuts otherwise it will be an unfortunate day for me and maybe others around me. I've been on this morning smoothie kick for the past several weeks. My travels have taken me everywhere in LA in search of a great smoothie for the price and value. I was headed towards may wood by way of the 210 when Yelp directed me here. First off let me say what I ordered was quite delicious and rich. I ordered the Reese's pieces smoothie. They say it contained milk, chocolate, peanut butter, and banana. It was very good and silky. Don't know if there were any additives to the smoothie that made it that way since if you asked me to blend those ingredients alone, I'd end up with a slushy, water mess! Lol. Very tasty. Price was right to for a medium at $7.50. Now to what I was put off on. 1. They charge extra for nondairy alternatives...for me $1.50 extra for the medium size. Don't know why people do this at all, almond milk isn't really the most expensive alternative to dairy in the world! I can understand if they made it from scratch by blending down some almonds and squeezing the resultant purée through cheesecloth...(I'm not sure if it was...and if it was, ok I get the extra charge) 2. $10 minimum on a credit card!! Ugh. Thankfully I came away with a 9.00 smoothie (7.50 plus cost of special almond milk) and the cashier didn't charge me extra for less than $10. I really don't like being punished for being lactose intolerant or spending less than what I would spend on a sit down meal just for using my CC! 4 stars for the drink. -1 star for almond milk up charge, -1 for $10 min. read more

I ordered the same as last time (tuna wrap with smoothie combo), but this time I got a little less fruit on the side, the dressing on the wrap seemed a little not so healthy (the reason why I go, well besides that it's super good too), and I noticed this time that every time I walk in I feel like I'm being rushed to order... like I just walked into a nail salon and they want me to be a color and hurry up to sit down. Kinda can be annoying when five people ask me if I'm ready to order while I'm still looking at the menu board above them all and I have to pause to look down every time to say I need another minutes. Come to da juice bar to get juice....don't come for their "famous" burritos. Don't hate me k.g. but the breakfast burritos are incredibly average. The one you brought to my house years ago was much better than the one I had today. These are petite in size and lacking in the flavor department especially compared to a breakfast burrito from a greasy mexican joint. Also the "salsa" that it comes with it...lacks tomatoes, cilantro, onion and just about anything else that you put in a salsa. This is more of a goopy sriarcha + mayo mix. I think the worst part about this place are the two (sullen looking) chicks that work here. Maybe they are bitter because they don't have crazy lines like their next door neighbor, Portos. These girls must own the place or be related to the owners because they have been working the counter for years. Working across the street, all I've ever had for lunch was Porto's. Then a friend insisted coming here. The line's short and the wait is even shorter. The service is excellent and fast. The options are healthy but still tasty. Plus, my vegan friend has options to choose from. Their acai bowl is the best I've had so far. I've had some in LA, OC, and SD but this one beats them all. It's not too tarty and not too thick. I always ask for the granola (which is excellent by the way) on the side so it doesn't get soggy and so that I can save the best for last. There are also strawberries and sliced banana. During this visit I also got a strawberry lemonade and I think it was too sweet but that's only because I was being healthy that day heh. Today, for lunch I got the pesto chicken wrap with avocados. This came with a small salad and some fruits but I also ordered a fruit bowl with it. The chicken wrap was delishhhhh!! and the salad came with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. For the fruit bowl you can choose as many types of fruits as you want from their seasonal list and they will stuff a small plastic container with it for only $4. It is two stores down from the infamous Porto's, so parking sucks (get ready to wait for metered street parking or park in the back lot that is shared by a couple of stores on Brand including Porto's). The smoothies are also amazing, I have gotten the Acai Berry Smoothie a couple times and it's good and healthy too!
