The store has limited indoor seating but plenty outside and there's the beach across the seat. grab and bite and go watch the sunset! It was OK! Lots of choices but the execution of the gelato left a little bit to be desired. We tried several things. My husband had the Dole whip, and of course, that was great. My daughter had the dairy free mango, which was also good. The rest of us had the regular gelato. While the flavors were definitely there, it was a little bit "icy." If you are into gelato, you know exactly what I'm talking about. The best gelato's are very creamy. To be clear, I am not comparing this to what I had in Italy. That simply wouldn't be fair. I'm not sure if it is the fat/sugar ratio or some other issue but it's just not quite 4/5 star. It is good, however! And there are many offerings! And a super cool wall that the kids can draw all over with chalk! Wow! I was impressed with the syrups for the shaved ice! They are house made with fruit purée and pure joy compared to the other shaved ice places we've tried. I was also pleased that they had gelato, ice cream, & soft serve for the non-shaved ice lovers in my family. It's located in a pleasant square with plenty of food choices & gift store. Located in a small strip mall. We come here every time we are in Maui. They changed ownership a few years ago and it is still good but the syrups are different from the previous owner. The prices are good and the snow is soft but the flavored syrup could be better. My son who loves Hawaiian snow is disappointed that they changed syrups. read more

Holy moly! Since I came here a week ago, I've come another 3 or 4 times. They have a ton of options, from ice cream, gelato, waffles, smoothies, shaved ice, and more. Each time, I have gotten the same thing, shaved ice with mango gelato, and passion fruit, guava, and blue raspberry as the three syrup flavors. It is so bomb! This style of shaved ice is very likely similar to other places, but this is the only Hawaiin ice I've had, so it's the best.
