Came here in the morning and the line wasn't too bad! I tried Da Vien in SoCal and was so excited that one opened up in NorCal!! The drink was perfectly sweet at 30% with strong coffee flavor. The matcha cream really adds dimension to the drink! Since it's viet coffee, I did feel overly caffeinated but in a good way. I really needed it this Friday morning!! I'll definitely be back to try their other drinks soon!!
i do a 20 minute commute almost every other day just to get the cookie butter matcha!! it's sooo good. if you're in the area you need to definitely try this place out! the store is located in a pretty busy plaza. the inside is quite small. my pro tip is to download their app, plus you get points per purchase. the seats often get filled pretty fast, and there are typically a lot of people waiting for drinks (that purchased in store). usually i find that the drink is done being made even before the pick up time, so it'd be worth it to just do a mobile order. despite all the chaos, the employees are really nice! definitely come by here if you'd like a quality cookie butter matcha.

My coworker introduced me to this coffee shop, and oh my gosh, Da Vien Coffee is so good! The coffee is soooo strong, not too sweet, and creamy. The drinks are so addicting they will definitely keep you awake! This location is pretty busy, and they have a long line, but you can also order online and just pick up your drinks. It's a bit crowded. Although they have tables and chairs, it's definitely a busy coffee shop. The place is also clean and organized. The staff are nice and friendly. I highly recommend this coffee shop!
Always excited to try Da Vien's new series, especially when it's BOGO! This time I tried the Cookie Butter, and of course, I wasn't disappointed. I always get 30% sweet and less ice, and it's always the perfect balance for me. What I love most is that BOGO has become a little bonding tradition with my teen son. Even better now that Da Vien has finally made it to our very own town! My other son, who goes to school in SoCal, is always telling us how much better the drinks are down there, so I'm glad we finally got a little taste of SoCal here. Definitely happy they made their way up!
I love getting Da Vien when I'm in OC, so I was pumped when they opened shop in Milpitas even though this plaza is kinda the worst. When this plaza is busy, parking can be annoying. Besides that, this location is clean, spacious, and filled with people studying, catching up, or coming in/out to get their mobile orders. Mobile ordering for Da Vien is definitely my go-to since it can get pretty hectic inside. It's also a plus to have the app since there are always BOGO deals on lattes and points to collect! I love the egg cream coffee here, but I do have to adjust the amount of cream or sweetness cos it can be too sweet sometimes. I haven't tried the matcha here so I won't comment on it, but it sounds like it often tastes watered down. I think it's worth it for Bay Area folks to try Da Vien!
10/10 on coffees and matchas here! I've been to Da Vien's location in the OC, so I was super excited to hear they were opening up in the Bay Area. I ordered online via their app and picked it up about 10-15 minutes later -- our drinks were ready by the time we arrived! I tried the Ube Coffee and the Banana Matcha Latte, and both were SO good. Their drinks are strong and generously made. With ube drinks, I find it can be hit or miss, since the ube flavor is often lackluster -- but they do it right here! The Banana Matcha Latte, on the other hand, was good but not the best I've had. I regret not adding banana cream to it, because I think that would've made a big difference. It gets busy here so definitely would recommend ordering online!! Lots of parking (can be busy) and seating inside.
Got the new cookie butter series and they were so good. The matcha and the coffee were good so why not order both? Ordered both for takeout The foam on top is pretty thick and sipping through it would need a straw. Pick up time was pretty accurate on the website. I took it to go so don't have much to say about morning coffee shop crowds or noise.

If i were to compare it it would be like a flavored cream cheese for a bagel. The actual coffee is perfect and the taste blend so nicely together. The coconut matcha was very refreshing as well and I enjoyed their promos they offer too. Service was really fast and accommodating and this location has a lot of parking for everyone. Love the hours they're open as well for both morning people and night owls.
Review on the coconut matcha only: So yum!! I got 75% sweet but I couldve gotten 50%. I added a shot of matcha and if u like something like pennywort, u would love this! Grassy, refreshing. Not the best matcha cream top but still adds richness to the drink. Service was fast. Parking was surprisingly not full that day!
My friend picked up a round of drinks for us at Da Vien before an event at Shoreline. I used to go to the og Da Vien in Westminster when I lived in SoCal. It was never my favorite, but it was alright, so I wanted to try it in NorCal to see if it got any better. I got the strawberry milk matcha, but it tasted 100% like strawberry milk with near zero matcha flavor because the only matcha in the drink was the foam top. I didn't realize this because when I checked the menu and photos of the drink from my the business, the drink was displayed with strawberry puree rather than just strawberry milk on the bottom, so I thought it was simply Da Vien's take on a classic strawberry matcha latte. As a specialty drink, the strawberry milk matcha passes. If it's trying to be a matcha forward drink, then the advertising entirely misrepresents it.
Heard great things at Da Vien Coffee from my family, but I guess there's a reason they're called Da Vien Coffee and not Da Vien Matcha. I applaud their fast service, but the matcha is pre mixed and tasted grainy. I ordered the einspanner matcha, and it was just okay. I don't really know what I expected. My boyfriend got the Matcha Latte and taste was fine, a little grainy and on the sweeter side. I'll give this place another chance in the future but I'll skip the matcha.
This is probably the busiest coffee shop I've ever been to! Literally there was a crowd/line to pickup your drink AFTER your drink was called as ready to go. And this was on a random Wednesday at like 2pm! I couldn't believe the crowd, this place is so popular, I took photos and videos for proof LOL. It took about 10-15 mins for my drink to be ready and then another 5 mins for me to even reach the counter once it was ready to claim it. Location: in a large plaza in Milpitas off of Calaveras, wasn't too hard to find parking Ordering: You can order at the counter, the kiosk or the app/website. I highly recommend using the site/app because it's very chaotic inside and they get really busy and crowded. The drink: they have a lot of different drinks, I went with something simple, a cold brew with cream top. I liked that I was able to customize the drink quite a bit on their website when ordering. The drink itself was actually really good, balanced flavor, not too acidic and the cream top added to the taste in a way that wasn't overpowering. I really liked it! Interior: The seating was surprisingly cozy and I was able to get some work done while I was there. The bench seating against the wall is so comfy, it's like super padded! They definitely did their best with the vibe. I think this place is too small for how popular they are to be honest, but good for them! I think they are doing the best they can to fulfill orders as fast as they can, I don't see how they could improve the efficiency given the space they have. They might need to move to a bigger spot at some point!

SO good! Da Vien hits the spot each time with their egg coffee and their lychee fruit tea. I used to visit their Westminster location all the time when visiting SoCal, so I am so glad they opened up a branch here in SJ. Service is usually fairly fast and orders take another 5-10 mins depending on how busy they are. They do have an app you can order from ahead of time to beat any rush though! You can also collect points there too or score any good BOGO deals they have. Inside is a little busy most of the time, so expect to wait on your order outside. Parking in this lot's location can be tough with the other restaurants and cafes so good luck! Definitely try their egg cream coffee, lychee fruit tea, and their ube products. All are so delicious and worth the price for. read more

So happy to have a Da Vien Coffee in the SF Bay Area. I frequent their SoCal shops a lot and always order their Egg Cream Coffee to the point of happy addiction. Ordered one with an extra espresso shot in a large since ai missed it so much. So good. Alas that you don't have a shop in SF but I found a small shop competitor that is just as good or better. Oh well, that's another story. Now Obhave an option in the East Bay when I have an Egg Cream craving. read more

The coffee is STRONG. I drank it at 9 am and didn't go to sleep until 4 am the next day. I don't drink coffee that often but when this place opened up from SoCal, I had to try it. I'm usually good with coffee before 10 am but this was not the case. I talked to another customer and they say the SoCal location is great. This place is just good. I don't think I will have their coffee in a long time unless I have to stay up late or an overnight shift. Great coffee if you're a nurse or overnight janitor. This place is very clean and the restroom too. It's handicap friendly that you can stroll in. read more

Came in on a weekday evening late. No waiting. Interior is bright and welcoming. Ordered a brown sugar fresh milk 50% sweet, banana cream no ice. Note that they have more drinks listed to order in the kiosk than the signs show. Drinks was nice, but not sure 4 stars, maybe 3.5. Order from kiosk, so no real interaction with staff. They don't even yell out names or numbers, just place the drinks out. I'd stop by again to try a coffee earlier in the day. read more

We came here to Da Vien Coffee three times in less than a week. We live in the tri valley and made the trek here each time. That says how good this place is. If you know, I absolutely love anything coffee, iced mocha, frappuccino, Vietnamese coffee, Turkish coffee, certain lattes....anything and all coffee. My girls tease me that I drink too much of it. Unfortunately, they're not wrong. Each time, my girls ordered the cookie butter latte and loved it. I prefer stronger coffee so I opted for their Vietnamese coffees. We could not believe how consistently busy this coffee place is. It was crazy busy except for the first night we came here at 9 pm. People literally double park and we saw so many people lining up waiting for parking. It's pure madness here. I get it though. Their customer service is better than most coffee spots. I wish I got the young lady's name who helped us on Sunday night and Monday afternoon. She was very personable. Ambiance: The only downside is since Da Vien Coffee is so busy; it's nearly impossible to find a table with seats. Unfortunately it seems like many college students buy a small drink and spend hours here. I will probably get push back; but, perhaps implementing a one hour limit may work better or better yet, open another shop in the tri valley! read more

The first time I saw this Cafe there was a line of people around the building. Needless to say a stop in to sample was in order and today was the day. It was evening so no crowds. A few people inside on laptops, chatting etc. I could see other times of the day being busy but I happened to get a front row parking spot. Like most modern cafes, you order at the kiosk. The staff is ready to answer questions if needed. I'm a matcha lover so a strong matcha does well. The strawberry matcha oat cream with strawberry puree hit the spot. Top layer was a thick consistency and super creamy. Love the crunchy ice too. A cup of srawberry goodness. Fast service! read more

Just as good as we had it in Southern California. Their coffee and matcha are so smooth. D1 got the egg cream coffee. I got the coconut blended coffee. D2 got the Ube matcha. The hype was still going on when we went as there was a crazy crowd inside as well as lots of people waiting outside. They're very efficient though and lots of people working. I love their coffee and their tea! We actually went to their grand opening and was able to enjoy free swag like their cup, cute tote bag, a pack of pokemon cards, a keychain, and with a purchase of a drink you get a coupon for a drink another time. It was cool bc it was my first time going this kind of event! I don't think I'll wait hours again though bc I'm getting too old for this lol. Their online ordering app is awesome! So definitely use it to beat the line! My go to drink is always the Einspannar Cream Coffee! I also like their refreshing tea drinks as well! Randomly came to this cafe, was supposed to go to another cafe in the complex but it was full. But hey, that made me discover this place and I was NOT disappointed! First of all, the staff was so sweet, it was a long day for me and he literally helped me pick my drink, patiently explaining which one I would like and which would have less caffeine (since it was late evening and I had been cafe hopping since morning). I ended up ordering the brown sugar fresh milk with 30% sweet (this drink was really tasty but even 30% was quite sweet for me). I was so excited to finally get a chance to try Da Vien after my hearing my daughter rave about it every time she goes to So. Cal. It was super easy to find and tons of parking. You can order at the kiosk, wait for someone to help you order ahead on their app. When we arrived there was a handful of people waiting for their orders and one person at the kiosk. Ordering was super easy. Drinks came out rather quick! And I even got a cute keychain! I couldn't decide between the Vietnamese Coffee with Banana Cream or Strawberry Cream, so I got BOTH!!!! The Vietnamese coffee is delicious. Banana Cream - The cream is thick and creamy with the perfect banana taste. Strawberry Cream - The cream was thinner than the banana cream. The strawberry tasted like fresh strawberries but blends into the coffee as you drink it. Next time I'm going to try their Egg Coffee! read more

In a world full of Vietnamese coffee offerings & egg coffee options [[left and right]], Da Vien does it's thang in proving that it is a force to be reckoned with. Here, you will find coffee, lattes, matcha, and iced teas. The cream toppings are what always brings me back. With Da Vien you are able to customize your sweetness level and the caffeinated strength. My must haves: *UBE CREAM COFFEE *EGG CREAM COFFEE *MARBLE DRIP *PANDAN MILK [caffeine free] The ube coffee is naturally strong and extremely caffeinated. This goes without any customizations or add ons, taking it the standard way. The coffee flavoring is a bold punch to your tastebuds but follows with the nutty sweetness of ube cream. The egg coffee is just as strong when it comes to the immediate caffeine punch. The intense hit is mellowed out with the sweet, creamy, custard like topping- making each sip so darn satisfying. The marble drip is low key like the cousin of the typical Vietnamese coffee. You get that distinct intense flavor but it is on the milder side. This has more of a stronger sweetness level, a creamier body, and a smooth finish. Perfect for someone like me who doesn't regularly have coffee- let alone the Vietnamese versions. 5/5 stars. If you're looking for legit, strong Vietnamese coffee, this is your place. My absolute favorite is the marble drip -- I get it at 50% sweet and 100% strong, and it hits every single time. My second go-to is the banana latte, which is also amazing. This place just does it right. I love everything about Da Vien and the only downside is that it's not closer to me -- I'd be here all the time if it were. Highly recommend to any coffee lover, especially if you appreciate the real deal Vietnamese coffee experience. Service is friendly and fast. Love that there's good parking outside too. read more

First had Da Vien in SoCal and then I had the coconut matcha. Today I came to the Milpitas location and I had the marble drip coffee, added egg cream, and let me tell you it was perfect!! I was really impressed by how smooth and flavorful it was. The coffee was strong without being overly bitter. Maybe we'll hold off on the egg cream next time just to get a better feel for the drink itself. But it was delicious overall. Service there is fast! I did an online order for six drinks at 9:03am and walked in at 9:10 my drinks were all ready! That's great and fast customer service for sure! Definitely was faster than the SoCal location lol. DA VIEN IS SO GOOD! Honestly some top tier viet coffee. Recently a lot of new viet coffee places have been popping up in the bay - but i tried some and they are SO WATERY or have no flavor! Da vien was not like that at all! If im not mistaken this is a chain from socal. The inside had a modern clean look and had some seating to hang out! When i walked in there were SO MANY to go orders! I tried the ube coffee cream and the black sesame matcha. The ube coffee cream was VERY ube which i loved! The ube cream was a little too thick for my liking, but once you mixed it with the coffee it was perfect! The black sesame matcha also had a great black sesame flavoring! It was nutty and super fragrant! The matcha paired nicely! I actually saved half of each drink for later in the fridge - and even after the ice melted, the drinks were still good and not watery! 10/10! I will definitely be coming back! I am excited to try their otjer drinks! read more
