The matcha crème brûlée swirl drank seemed to be their popular drink because a lot of those were being whipped up when we were waiting for our order. It looks aesthetically pleasing, but damn she thicck. It's like a milkshake and you need a big boba straw to get the liquid through. It was good but my boo said it was sorta a challenge to drink. A spoon is needed to thoroughly mix things together. The 2nd time around we ordered the matcha latte and the Hojicha cheese mousse. The Hojicha was a little stronger in flavor since there was no milk added to it. The cheese mousse was thick. I started drinking it through the sip top but eventually went in with a straw to mix it up. The hint of saltiness from the foam paired pretty well with the tea. My guy got the matcha latte with oat milk and the oat flavor is pretty overpowering. You'd taste the oat and then the matcha. It was okay but my boo finished it with no complaints. The shop is small but there's a long bench and a few tables to sip and chill. You mainly order from the kiosk, but when a long line forms, a human assists with ordering. The drink competition is strong in the plaza that they're in. There's at least 3 other boba shops in the same strip they're in and 2 more across the way. But Izumi stayed pretty busy the times we were there. Parking is kinda limited though because they're in a busy plaza. The last time we came we parked across at Target nearby and walked over. Overall, great Hojicha and matcha. The prices are decent for the area. They'll charge you if you want a cup of ice btw. Service is quick. I've been here a couple more times since it first opened a few years ago in which I didn't have the best experience. I would say it has improved a lot since then. Wowowow finally got to try Izumi's drinks. Not sure if they need another 5 star review lol, this place is heavily known by matcha lovers and SJ locals. Double matcha was not overly strong or caffeinating to me (love that they do not charge extra for this option btw)- my caff tolerance I'd say is relatively high or above average for sure. Surprisingly, at that matcha level the taste is not overly bitter at all. And the regular sweet is perfect (I normally get 50% sweet at boba shops). Same with the ice level, I think their regular ice level is fine (I normally get less ice at boba shops). The Lychee matcha has great lychee taste, not artificial tasting, it's a great blend of both lychee + matcha. The Yuzu is leaning towards the 'lemonade' profile without being overly citrusy. Izumi was once my favorite place to buy drinks, I usually order Strawberry Matcha Latte. But what happen today (Wednesday, July 15) make me feel really disappointed and disrespectful. I'm came in around 12 P.M to 12h30 P.M and standing at counter waiting for 30 minutes and no one take my order. However, there are two female workers standing close to counter but they did not even care about me as a customer who was holding cash and wait for them. The problems here was if they do not take orders in cash, they could came to tell me that they would not take order in cash, but they decide not to do that and let me wait for 30 minutes. I've been seeing this place trending so I was excited when I saw there was an Izumi close by, I had to go here. I got the crème brûlée matcha and let me tell you, it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGGG!! I'm usually a sweet over strong matcha girly, but this matcha had a mix of both and the balance was definitely there. It tasted amazing and I was surprised that it was blended, but still loved it. When I was finishing the matcha I tasted the strong matcha more compared to the creme brûlée. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also loved the decorations such as all the smiskis!!! Super cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also bought a matcha tin for my friend and the lady at the front made sure to explain to me all I needed to know, such as where to store it after it's opened, as well as expiry dates. One of my favorite matcha spots! The creme brûlée matcha swirl is one of their most popular drinks and for good reason! It's delicious and you get those little creme brûlée pieces. I've tried the strawberry matcha latte and it's pretty good too. Not the best I've had but it's good. They have two milk options: whole milk, and oat. I only wish they had almond milk. Both locations are in busy plazas and parking can be a little difficult. The silver creek location is a little less busy than the Cupertino one. I think I've waited in line for about 15 minutes vs 30 at the other one. Your way in line longer than you'll wait for your drink. It comes out pretty fast. read more

Matchafoo was out and about last weekend, so I ended up stumbling on this spot while at Target and damn, it did not disappoint. I ordered the strawberry matcha with an extra matcha shot (definitely take advantage of the free extra shot). The matcha was rich, thick, and actually stood out, while the strawberry flavor came through perfectly instead of getting lost.[[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was quick and smooth, and the inside has a really relaxing vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They've got a self serve kiosk too, which I'm a big fan of.
