Really good dessert. I would give the Ha Noi Mist with 50% sweet a 10/10 on flavor and serving size. The wait was 20 minutes with 2 groups of 3 people each ahead of us. If you're here with friends, the time goes by quickly, but if you want an in and out pickup, order ahead. There is plenty of seating, and the place is really clean, fresh and cool. Some of the best che I've had in the area! The shop is almost always busy, yet the staff are very helpful and attentive. I usually get the Ha Noi Mist which is such a classic and refreshing dessert. I've even gotten it to go and they package a separate bag of ice to make sure it doesn't melt and get diluted on the way home! I tried the Hoi An Imperial (warm) which was also very delicious which strong coconut components. I loved the warm taro chewy pieces in particular. I've been to Co Ba twice now and had a great experience both times. I was looking for a reliable dessert spot open late that serves desserts on the lighter side, and che fit the bill perfectly. Both times I've gone were half an hour before closing and the store was packed. The first time I got the Ha Noi Mist and the Lychee Rose, the second time I got the Ha Long Sunset and a limited stock warm specialty dessert with pandan and ube dumplings in a ginger coconut sauce. The Ha Noi Mist's ingredients sounded the most aligned with my personal preferences and I got the Lychee Rose to try something different but refreshing on a warm summer night. I was hesitant to get the Ha Long Sunset since I'm not a fan of jackfruit but Eric voted for it, and also the dumplings since a ginger coconut sauce sounds weird but he said that's what he wanted. Sipping che through a straw definitely beats spooning it. Make sure to thoroughly mix the drink and crush up the ice a bit before indulging. On my first visit I didn't notice the kiosk and ordered with the cashier so I was confused at how I would know when my order is ready because I didn't get a number or a receipt, but I later noticed the screens displaying that information on the wall. I'm a big fan of pandan jelly. The red pearls can be good but can sometimes have a bit of a crunchy chew in the center. Young coconut has a good flavor but a texture that isn't my favorite. I did not like the jackfruit in the Ha Long Sunset, but the flavor wasn't strong enough to ruin the whole dessert. I feel like che is a dessert that is not necessarily expensive or time consuming to produce, and the milk tea/fruit tea prices here are definitely on the pricey end given their component ingredients. Was craving a sweet treat so decided to come here after dinner. The restaurant is open until 10:30pm on typical weekdays -- there are people studying inside or groups just enjoying conversations with one another, honestly great vibes. Despite it being late on a weekday, all but one table were occupied, so luckily we were able to get a seat. There's also some outdoor tables outside if needed. The parking lot is on the smaller end, but not to the point where it's impossible to find parking - people are constantly pulling in and out of the lot so your parking chances are good. We ordered the Che flight and was surprised about the price! I think it's too overpriced for the size since each Che can only have a splash of each ingredient before the cup becomes full. As Vietnamese people, we literally did not know what we were ordering from the description of each until we tasted them and was like oh.. it's this. I don't see the harm in putting the actual name of the Che on the menu, even if it's just in the description of them. We would rank them: 1) Che 3 mau 2)che Thai 3) Che suong sao hot e. The cup is too small for even mix them without it spilling over the edge. The tiny spoon is also useless for eating it as it did not pick up anything... Given that this is a flight, I feel like it should represent the best Che they offer, but they all fell short. The Hanoi Mist was my favorite because it wasn't overly sweet along with having yummy purple yam, which I hadn't seen before. Service was fine. We ordered on the screen and they diligently brought everything out but we put it away ourselves after. The actual space itself was cramped, in my opinion, but doable. The chè flights were so aesthetically pleasing but it felt cramped on our table.
