Best London fog I've had. I do usually have a bias against earl gray because there's a weird aftertaste I don't like. However, I was very intrigued by the London fog matcha mix. I replaced the original cream with egg cream because I love egg cream top. There weren't a lot of egg cream so I can't actually comment on whether or not it's good, but I can say I really loved their London fog matcha. The salted einspeinner was just okay though, hence me rounding it down to 4 stars.
This new coffee shop has very solid and delicious coffee. I tried the white truffle tiramisu, which has a salted mascarpone cream top. The cream top was super delicious and I could taste the hint of white truffle. The coffee itself was also super yummy. The interior decoration was super cute, a lovely spot to grab a drink and hang out with friends.
This was my first time going to Little Saigon in San Jose and I will definitely be returning. Em Coffee House had so many options that sounded great, but I personally had been craving Vietnamese iced coffee. This was the best vietnamese coffee I've ever had! It was slightly creamy and very strong. I'll be back!! Our orders came out quickly, and the café itself was clean and modern. There's also outdoor seating.

The Coconut Matcha was okay, but personally... GO TO ARISAN! Their coconut water matcha is unmatched. FRESH COCONUT and perfectly strong matcha. The drink at Em Coffee was simply just okay. The matcha cream top was too sweet and creamy, not enough matcha. The coconut water was decent, but nothing special. I think I will have to come back and try their specialty drinks or the Double Matcha!

I got the banana latte with oat milk, which was more on the lighter side--possibly a little watered down from the ice. I also would have preferred a stronger banana flavor in the latte. I can't speak much to the service or the ambiance since we ordered everything to go. Overall, though, it's a great spot to grab a drink if you're in the area. There's a nice variety of options for everyone, whether you're a matcha fan or not.

I personally love the toffee notes, though I wish that flavor came through a bit more since the banana tends to be a little overpowering. Sadly the Pandan Matcha Float was a disappointment, the ice cream was non-existent they added the tiniest dollop of ice cream and had no flavor, the matcha itself was okay. Maybe i'll come back and try out other drinks another time, but it wasn't super memorable this time.

Outdoor seating I got the London fog matcha was salty cream foam. The drink was mostly early grey and wasn't balanced well. The panda coconut matcha was solid tho. Was told that the viet coffee was very strong. Would try that next time.
Had the matcha banana latte and its good but we felt the one from Arisan (in the same plaza just a 30 second walk away) was better and cheaper. The matcha flavor is good, not too bitter and you can taste it with the banana milk. They top it with banana slices and crushed biscoff cookie. You can choose cow, oat, or almond milk without a fee. We got regular sweetness and it wasnt too sweet. Regular ice was a lot of ice though. Overall its not a bad drink but for $9.35 (SJ tax included), its def higher priced than most places. The reason why we liked Arisan's banana matcha better is because the banana flavor is stronger (they muddle banana into the drink) and it has a banana cream foam that really elevates the drink. Regarding the store, theres a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating and its a nice vibe. You can sit here and chat with friends. Parking is always busy but the back parking garage usually had space during the day.
4 for the business- 3.5 for coffee taste. There was rush which was good to see. Saw lots of people trying out the coffee flight. Fast service, you can text them your order and pay online. Even at the counter ordering was a brisk, efficient! Now probably I made a mistake ordering black coffee! But it was on the menu. Coffee without sugar or milk tasted like someone had put burnt charcoal or beans in the coffee. I added some of my child's milk boba to it and then it became pleasant experience... I started tasting dark notes of the coffee. Now I understand except myself there was nobody there at the time ordering black coffee. Everyone was there to try signature coffees or matcha. tip- do not try their black coffee without milk and sugar (get Caphe Sua Da)... I encourage the business to use lesser roasted beans for solely black coffee consumers...
My friends and I came across Em Coffee House while walking around the plaza. This coffee shop is absolutely adorable and feels so cozy! I really love how everything is laid out. There's one convenient kiosk for ordering, and the menus are large and super easy to read. They offer a variety of drinks, all organized into sections on the menu. You'll find categories like matcha fusion drinks, ube fusion, popular Vietnamese favorites like Vietnamese egg coffee and coconut milk coffee, and much more. I only tried the original Iced Vietnamese Coffee (Ca Phe Sua Da), and it was bold and flavorful. The ratio of condensed milk was just right. Highly recommend!

First time coming here and I will definitely be back to try the other drinks! Ambiance was nice and spacious. Good amount of seating both inside and outside. I got the pandan coconut latte which was the perfect amount of sweetness. Initially, the vibrant green from the pandan foam caught me a little off guard and I thought it was gonna have a super sweet artificial taste but it was perfect! The toasted coconut on top was a nice touch as well. I also tried out the marble latte which was exactly what I was expecting when it comes to Vietnamese coffee. Not too sweet. Lastly, tried out the biscoff cookie. It was pretty sweet but still delicious. I probably wouldn't get it again but it was nice to try. I like the vibe. Nice decor, nice design elements, lots of seating, interrupts the typical coffee shop vibe and has more of a hang out boba shop feel. Had the egg brulee coffee, 4/5 taste. I asked for less ice, but they gave regular ice. That mattered a lot when trying to mix the drink and my straw could only move slightly due to the amount of ice. If you ask for less ice, say something if they don't give you less ice Salted Eispanner - 3.5/5 flavor was good. But again, too much ice. Wait was only a few mins. DRINKS: - Strawberry Matcha (2/5) (reg sweet, less ice): thin strawberry puree, has fruit bits, and overall not overly sweet. Matcha is thin and somehow tastes like strawberry instead of actual matcha... - Egg Brulee Cream Coffee (3.5/5): coffee is strong but sweet. Egg cream is not too sweet and smooth. Overall feels light. Can definitely taste the coffee in the first few sips. Located in Vietnam Town. Interior is aesthetic, earthy minimalist theme, has good work/study vibes, narrow space but has plenty of seating. Overall, drinks are on the pricier side. read more

Em Coffee House is the newest coffee shop in the Vietnam Town Plaza. The decor is Modern with a sleek, minimalist aesthetic. I came on a Sunday and it was busy! The staff is friendly, but it gets busy, so be ready to wait. I ordered the Banana Toffee Latte with Oat Milk. This is my new favorite coffee drink! It was delicious and like nothing I've had before. The banana flavor was subtle, but still flavorful enough, and the toffee crunch was delicious! I will be getting this for sure next time here. My husband had the Pandan Matcha, and this was ok. There wasn't enough pandan flavor, and it tasted a bit bland and watered down. Pandan Coconut Latte: this was good too! We could taste the coconut flavor for the most part. It was delicious! They have several other drinks, and I would for sure come back to try more. Overall, two of the three we had were good! read more

EM Coffee House is such a beautiful new addition to San Jose! The café has a clean, modern aesthetic with a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a great spot for a coffee date, catching up with friends, or even getting some work done. I tried the Coco Ube Cream Coffee, Banana Toffee Latte, Royal Pink Lychee Tea, Matcha Einspanner, White Truffle Tiramisu Cream Coffee, and the Egg Tart. Everything was beautifully presented, and you can tell a lot of thought goes into each drink. My favorites were the White Truffle Tiramisu Cream Coffee and the Matcha Einspanner. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese coffee and a café with amazing vibes, EM Coffee House is definitely worth a visit! read more
So exciting to stumble upon another Vietnamese coffee shop with an extensive menu of Vietnamese coffee and matcha drinks, featuring a variety of cream tops! There were so many options that I wanted to try them all, but I ended up ordering the egg coffee. I was a little worried it would be too sweet since there wasn't an option to adjust the sweetness, but it turned out to be perfectly balanced. I also loved that you could choose a stronger coffee option. The egg cream was light, smooth, and well made. It added richness without tasting overly eggy. The Biscoff cookie on top was a nice touch! I loved dipping it into the egg cream before taking a sip of the coffee. The ultimate combination!! I'm so happy to see this new addition to Vietnam Town, and I can't wait to come back! This is a cute little shop. There are a few tables w/ chairs inside and then more tables and chairs outside. I love the colors and vibe of this coffee shop. It would be a cute spot for meeting up w/ a few friends to have a good drink and hang out. The staff was very friendly and kindly answered my questions about the menu. I got the Salted Einspanner and my husband got the Citrus Lemongrass Refresher, they were both very good. The coffee is strong (it is Vietnamese coffee) but the Salted cream balanced the drink out well. I will definitely go back when I am in the area. read more

Matcha Einspanner was mid! I got half sweet and I wish they had an option for 75% because the other option is full sweet. The matcha itself tastes bitter that it overpowers the drink itself. The salted vanilla cream on top is good but nothing special. I like that they have pastries here so I got the pate chaud. It's good, flakey and the meat inside is good. Classic and good. I like how aesthetic it is inside. It's so pretty and gorgeous. Since it is in a small store there is limited seating and does feel a bit cramped. I like that they have kiosk on the right when you enter. Service is standard didn't really interact much. I came on a Saturday around 2:30pm and it wasn't that busy. I would come to try the other drinks to give it another chance but was kind of disappointed by the matcha Einspanner. Egg Coffee 8.5/10 Salted Einspanner Coffee 6.5/10 Banana Matcha 7/10 London Fog Salted Matcha 7.5/10 Egg coffee I got no ice less sweet really strong perfect sweetness love the egg cream. Banana matcha I got less sweet. I asked for no ice, and my coffee was still filled to the brim and strong! I love the banana cream however, it was very light on the cream. The matcha-based taste was too milky, so you can't taste the matcha. London Fog Salted Matcha is Earl Grey matcha. I got less sweet I like how it's strong Earl Grey and light in sweetness. However, I think the Earl Grey overpowers the matcha. Salted coffee is too sweet I would do less sweet or not sweet. I originally wanted less sweet since I do like my coffee on the strong side. The barista insisted I get regular sweets since it's pretty strong. It didn't taste strong more like a latte to me. read more

2.5 STARS Em, How do I say this kindly? Ok, let's start with the positives: * Beautiful, modern space with plentiful shaded, outdoor seating. * Friendly staff and hella fast service. * I ordered online and our order was ready in about 5 minutes. * Coffee strength: Regular or strong (no charge). * Most unique cream I've seen so far: White truffle mascarpone cream * Oat + almond milk available (+ 50 cents). * Restroom available. BUT... Guuuuurrl, I mean this in a concerned but blunt AZN auntie kinda way...you gotta work on that swamp water! =( D R I N K S * Strawberry Matcha Latte ($8) The matcha was hella bitter and watery, and there wasn't enough strawberry puree to offset the bitterness. * Pandan Coconut Matcha Latte ($8) - Request half sweet Similar bitter, watery matcha base but with a frothy cream top garnished with toasted coconut flakes. Didn't taste much vanilla-y pandan. * Banana Toffee Latte ($7) Cloyingly sweet with strong banana flavor. Toffee flavor was absent and the rocket fuel was on its last legs (watered down). TBH, it lowkey reminds me of Baileys Irish Cream. I hate wasting money but we sadly, tossed all three drinks. Overall, given the abundance of Viet coffee (and matcha) shops in E Man Jose, Em needs improvement. I'm hoping it's just a matter of kinks (visited on week 2) - giving them grace and rounding up. Final Thoughts: 3.00/5 New matcha place that took over a corner in Vietnam Town. This place was getting quite a bit of attention likely due to its popularity in Elk Grove and Mira Mesa. Also randomly showed up on the IG feed with their mascot person, so it definitely piqued my interest. Given all of the advertising and reviews, perhaps I was hoping for something more. Slightly underwhelmed and will have to be a 3 stars for me today. Food: Pate Chaud (not pictured): 2.0/5 This is a Vietnamese pastry. Puff pastry on the outside with a savory meat filling on the inside. Everyone had their own way of making this and seasoning it, so more of a preference. The puff pastry shell is kind of flat. Difficult to tell if it's shell is homemade though. Perhaps the filling was too wet or it stayed out for too long and the pockets of butter slightly melted. Nice and golden on the outside. For the filling, the meat was packed together, so they constructed everything raw together first before baking it, which is how I usually do it versus cooking the minced meat first and then constructing and then finally baking for the layers. Flavor of the meat is aiight, but balanced. Drinks: Banana Matcha Latte: 3.2/5 Their matcha flavor is quite nice. There's a slight bitterness and umami to it. Color is just borderline swamp water and oxidizing. Seems to be enough of the matcha though because the flavor comes through well enough even with the amount of milk and cream. Sweetness is quite good. I'm not a fan of the banana cream. The cream is so light in flavor. Appears to be fresh banana mixed into the cream. I just don't get enough of that flavor, which is interesting given the flavor of banana can be strong. Consistency wise, it was kind of thin even with the drink fully combined. Double Matcha Cream: 3.5/5 Friend's drink that I tried for review purposes. Their cream is quite sweet for me, but maybe that's what's making this drink. Again, that matcha flavor isn't super strong in the creams. Base of the drink is essentially the same as mine. Slight bitterness and sweetness to it. Menu: Small, but good variety Their menu has a nice variety too it and I also appreciate that they don't overcrowd the menu. They offer coffee based drinks and matcha drinks, so you have that option. Other non-caffeinated drinks are available. Would probably recommend these for a hot summer day given how refreshing they look. For the pastries, they do have x1 sweet and x1 savory option. For the sweet option, they sell the egg tarts. --------- Quality: Aiight Their matchas seem to be alright. Maybe just ever so slightly too dark for me, but I will take more matcha over less. They did take quite a few minutes to prepare the drinks, so they may or may not have whisked it to order. It's done behind the counter/corner, so I didn't really see or pay much attention to begin with. Matcha may be matched though given the color. Taste is nice and strong, slightly nutty, slightly umami. Price: Depends Looking at the drinks, they seem to be within a normal range. Prices will be within $6 to $8 ranges. Of note, there is an upcharge for the milk substitutes. Almond and oat milk are both available options. However, if you look at the pate chaud in particular, $3.50 per piece is so expensive. They do have a deal where you can buy 3 for $9, which again, is not a good price. My recommendation is going to get them at Thanh Son. Their price is perhaps not better and totally affected by inflation, but whoever makes that puff pastry, has truly mastered the art of making those. Service: Interesting interaction The only reason why we got an interaction was because they ran out of their boba. We ordered on the kiosk that's tucked away in the corner and in front of the pastry display case, so zero interactions until you get called up for your drinks. We got called up because they ran out of the mochi boba. When we asked for an alternative, the employees were also quite unaware that they were out of toppings contrary to their sign advertising their topping options. Perhaps it was nearing the end of the day or they were too hyped up, so everything ran out. Ambiance: Quaint Little Corner Very quaint little corner of Vietnam Town. Interior is small and not too many tables to sit inside, but there are tables placed outside too. Very shaded area and optimal amounts of seating for this place. Simple interior, bright and cool with the shade. Location/Parking: Vietnam Town I've talked about this location and parking so many times. There are parking spots, but it's a hit or a miss. Will depend on luck at times. This spot is located at the corner facing the street. Location is near Cơm Tấm Thiên Hương. Would say it's a pretty good location overall. read more

Went twice: Once on Sunday and once on Monday. Very busy on weekends and more relaxed on weekdays. The drinks are really sweet but delicious. I think the drinks with cream toppings taste better drinking through the cap than through a straw so you get the cream mixed with coffee in every sip. Egg tarts are always delicious! read more
High quality Vietnamese coffee and matcha shop offering unique drinks and pastries. Came here following the recent opening. We received a free egg tart for Yelp check in, which was a good snack. I really like their drinks! Had the flight which was 4 drinks for 25 dollars which i think is a great deal if you go with a friend, im all about less drink and more variety. What i like is that you can adjust sweetness on at least the drinks I tried without obliterating the flavor. I really loved their salted London fog (with 0 additional sweetener b/c their earl grey layer is already nicely flavored) one of my favs for actual bergamot and floral taste to the Earl grey portion. New Vietnamese theme coffee shop opened up in San Jose. Apparently, this coffee house is popular in the San Diego area and is a coffee chain. Got to try their Vietnamese coffee today for 20% off grand opening. Ordered their Egg Brûlée. You can to choose between regular strength and extra strength. Since I didn't want to get a heart attack, I decided to stick with the regular strength. Nevertheless, the coffee was still strong and the drink was creamy and surprisingly not too sweet, just amount the sweetness for me. There is a biscuit on top for you to dip into the egg cream. I did not notice much of the brown sugar brûlée they claim to have on top. They also offer a number of matcha options if coffee is not your thing. Overall I enjoyed the drink and would come back next time. read more

I tried the coffee flight and loved getting to sample a few different flavors. My favorite was definitely the Banana Toffee Latte - it was rich, creamy, and so delicious especially with the toffee bits. Honestly, the highlight of every drink was the heavy, flavorful cream on top. It added such a rich texture and made each coffee feel extra indulgent. Definitely worth trying if you're a coffee lover! read more

Really enjoyed my visit to Em Coffee House. The Vietnamese iced coffee with truffle foam was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The modern, inviting atmosphere makes it a great spot to grab a coffee, get some work done, or just relax. Service was quick and friendly, and I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu. We came on a Saturday late morning, and it was very busy, probably because it's a newer spot. Ordering was easy through the self-service kiosk, and our drinks came out surprisingly fast despite the crowd. We ordered the Egg Brûlée Coffee and the Pandan Matcha. The Egg Brûlée Coffee came topped with a Biscoff cookie, but other than that, it felt like a pretty standard iced coffee. It was watered down, and I couldn't taste any egg flavor at all. I'm also not sure what made it "brûlée" since there wasn't any distinct caramelized flavor or richness. The Pandan Matcha was even more disappointing. It was also very watered down, and I couldn't taste the pandan. The matcha itself lacked flavor and wasn't enjoyable. Overall, both drinks were underwhelming and didn't live up to the hype. While the ordering process was efficient and service was quick, the drinks themselves were disappointing. In my opinion, this place is popular mainly because it's a new spot, but I wouldn't come back. read more
Tried the Truffle Phin Coffee and the Earl Grey Matcha. Overall, both drinks had good flavor, but the Earl Grey Matcha definitely needs to be mixed before drinking. The cream foam on top wasn't my favorite--it wasn't very sweet and had a slightly salty taste. Meanwhile, the Earl Grey syrup at the bottom was very sweet, so if you don't mix everything together, the flavors feel unbalanced. The Truffle Phin has creamy with a bold, strong coffee flavor, and the truffle added a nice richness without being overpowering. Only wish they allowed you to adjust sweetness. Overall, I'd come back and would recommend mixing the Earl Grey Matcha well before taking your first sip. read more
Super cute little cafe with lots of inside and dog friendly outside seating! Large drink selection from Vietnamese specialty coffee options to fruit teas to matcha lattes. I tried the strawberry matcha latte and appreciated they use fresh strawberry puree. I didn't love the matcha on its own as I prefer a much nuttier matcha from Yame vs Uji region matcha but it looked freshly made and was very green. Overall the strawberry matcha latte was good. Service was very fast. You can order at counter or self order using kiosk. Parking is free in the strip mall. Soft opening 20% off this week! read more
My friends and I stopped by on a Sunday around 5:30pm. There was a decent crowd, but ordering was easy with the self-service kiosk, and we were able to find seats outside. We ordered the banana matcha, matcha einspannar, pandan matcha, and sky peach tea. Since I had heard such great things, I came in with pretty high expectations. Unfortunately, the drinks were underwhelming. They tasted very milky, and the matcha flavor was barely noticeable. The banana and pandan flavors were also very subtle, making the drinks taste bland. Overall, there was nothing special about the matcha drinks. The standout was definitely the sky peach tea. I noticed they serve coffee, so I'd be open to coming back to give that a try. As for the matcha, though, I don't think I'd order it again. read more
