An express journey to the flavors of Daegu via Little Ferry? Restaurants like Daegu have raised the standard of what one can expect from the different ways of preparing fried chicken from various locals around the world. The crispy pieces of fowl arrived in various sizes(including a mini drumstick(see photos)), hot and not overly greasy. Wait was approximately ten minutes. The half box(nine pieces) of Daegu soy sauce garlic(their most popular flavor) was neither overly juicy or dry. Asked about splitting the order into two flavors but was denied. Pickled radish served as a nice palate cleanser between each piece. Dined in on a slow night and therefore seating was readily available. At fifteen dollars, this is comparable to the other popular Korean fried chicken joints and felt the value for the portion was fair. Did this meal take me on a culinary journey to Daegu in South Korea? Probably not, but it was enjoyable enough to warrant planning a future visit.

I was quite disappointed of their taste because it's not tasty enough. Probably not enough sauce or sauce just isn't flavorful. The quality of the chicken was juicy enough too. I have tried other Korean chicken wings before, this one just not good enough for me to return. Only thing good is the cashier girl was nice and friendly.

These types of "pieces" composed a good portion of the boxes. We were actually excited because the boxes felt heavy when we picked them up.

My family and I were supremely disappointed with our order from the Little Ferry Daegu Chicken. Our experience matches exactly what the other poor Yelp reviews have said in that this restaurant is boxing up and selling what are, essentially, battered and deep fried chicken bones. The only way that I can describe it is that it's some sort of cost cutting, cash grab where a "piece" of chicken is actually 90% bone with a tiny piece of dried out white meat attached to it. The best part is that they even try to market it as an order of "mixed chicken" which, to me, feels like it's bordering on fraud. And finally, to add insult to injury, they're charging OUTRAGEOUS prices! We paid for $50 worth of chicken and basically got 2 boxes of someone else's leftovers. Never again.

Yummy Korean fried chicken is definitely getting more attention which is well deserved. If you've never tried any style of the heavenly double-fried, crispy, juicy chicken wings, Daegu Chicken is a great place to be a beginner, especially at this new location. When a place is small and specializes in making chicken and can't mess around with unimportant menu items a larger place may have. They have a nice selection of 7 different flavors and a couple of sides to accompany them. They have an option to choose half and half and so I got Original Crispy and Honey wings with their thin waffle fries. Both flavors were very good, and I shared thinking I had too much and was sad to do so an hour later because I'm craving it again!

They gave us half bitten wing.

This place used to be good... but I'm not returning after tonight.. just like some yelper reviewed they give us some half bitten chicken pieces... Not coming back. Like you literally see the bones, like where did the meat go??? And they gave us a few pieces of these, we ordered 10 pcs order and prob only 5 is okay to eat. Rip off !

came here the other day & i was pleasantly surprised. i got the soy garlic but i also wanted to try the sweet&spicy sauce so they gave me the sauce on the side to try (best decision ever!). the sweet&spicy is honestly my favorite and it reminds me of the wings i had in korea - could not stop eating it despite my body saying it was full hahaha. they give a side of radish which is nice and refreshing (pairs nice with the crispy chicken). only thing is, when you order in person, you have to wait 15-25 minutes since they make the chicken fresh. definitely 10 wings was filling enough for me, and for $15 it's a steal! definitely recommend

Located inside Hmart Little Ferry, Daegu Chicken is a must try! I got the soy garlic chicken to share and it was super crispy and yummy!

The 10 pieces of radish, what left of it.

Garbage doesn't describe how crappy this chicken is. It's flavorless and it's like they just dipped tiny pieces of dark meat into flour and called it "Korean" chicken. Don't ask for more radish they'll try to justify the 10 tiny pieces they give you otherwise they need to charge you for more. C'mon don't nickle and dime me, your cost is 5 cents. Seriously ridiculous the amount you get for how much they charge. Go somewhere else. You'll feel less ripped off. Check out pics I added what Don's radish serving looks like.

Probably everyone in my family's favorite place for wings. Huge pieces with a large choice of seasoning rubs or sauces. BBQ'd ribs are so tasty & fall off the bone. AND some of the best cornbread I've every had ( including the southern states I visit.) I love cornbread and this is moist ( not crumbly or dry). Prices are fair and I've seen their wings on many "Best of" lists. You have to try it next time you want wings or ribs. Just don't forget the cornbread.

In addition to chicken, they serve BBQ ribs, burgers, sandwiches, paninis, and wraps. They also have the classic comfort food sides like mac & cheese and cornbread. The interior is similar to a fast food take-out restaurant, but don't be fooled. They cook everything fresh on the spot using non-processed meat. Even their sauces are produced in small batches based on demand. Trust me, you'll be able to smell all of that deliciousness once you walk in. We were greeted by a friendly employee who gave us some recommendations on wing sauces. We ordered the Wing Sampler (~$22 for 15 pieces), fries (~$5), and cornbread (~$3). For our wings, we were able to choose up to 3 sauces. I was a bit disappointed that they don't offer any dry rubs, only wet marinades... dry rub or bust. We went with the Original Mild House Sauce, Sweet Thai, and Jerk Seasoning. The wings were huge, meaty, and tender! All of the sauces were delicious, but my favorite was the Sweet Thai. The jerk sauce had the right blend of ingredients, giving you that kick of heat and flavor. They went a bit heavier on the breading than what I prefer. I prefer no breading with a crunchy skin. The french fries were crispy. The corn bread was sweet and moist. We would return to try more wing flavors!

And since I prefer white meat, the dry white meat parts were literally tough to swallow. The white radish was aged well, perhaps too well, so it didn't have the crisp crunch we've come to expect. There were several things these guys did well that give me hope for a possible next visit. First, the sauce for the sweet chilli chicken was on point, and theirs is the sauce-y kind which I like. One of the three sides, the rice cakes, was my favourite part of the whole meal. The rice cakes were tender and a perfect bite size, and the sauce was the right blend of sweet and spicy that doesn't hurt my stomach. The dining room is nice and open, and decor was surprisingly whimsical (pictured). The vinyl glove was a nice touch and saved me from using utensils to get meat off the bones. I'd consider going back. When I do, I expect a solid 5-star experience.

We ordered a chicken curry katsu, a 8 piece boneless soy garlic chicken, and 4 piece drumstick spicy soy garlic. We even got served little pre-meal treats before the courses came out; flavorful. The rice cakes were so fresh and none super chewy; just the right amount of chew and softness. All of it was delicious. The crispiness was nice without drying the meat; nor was it oily. For under $50, very much worth it!
