Coleslaw, Ppurings Whole Chicken half, Cheese Snow French Fries

#1 Korean chicken place! On my second try on none other than Super Bowl Sunday at 6:30pm (aka too late), they delivered within 1 hour via Grubhub and won me over with their amazing chicken. Not sure why I didn't remember it as much first time around 2 yrs ago, but I'm glad I tried them again. Ppuring chicken (5/5) - Ordered whole chicken 1/2, and as many said, this is savory, sweet & with a hint of delicious kick that you won't expect. Whole chicken gives you good bang for the buck, though you need to break it up a bit. Loved it. Sweet & Spicy Wings (4/5) - Yes, this one has a nice kick with loads of awesome old-skool K-chicken wing yangnyum sauce. Still crunchy somehow under all that sauce! Nicely garlicky too. Snowing Cheese Fries (5/5) - Man, I know wife said it looks unhealthy and heavy but I don't care... fries were not greasy but full of potato flavor and dare I say chewy... with generous coat of that amazing cheese powder delivering the subtle sweet with savory! I really didn't think I would enjoy this as much as I did. Yes, this is heavy-duty fries. I only ate 5 hefty ones each time alongside the chicken. I'm feeling happy rn because I still got like 5 left in my fridge. Okay, it's definitive now - no one comes close to Yam Yam Chicken when it comes to K-fried chicken in this area! Bye bye don, pelicana, & bbq - it was nice knowing you guys. I'll be calling again real soon & you should too for your next chicken feast.

Never stop believing. This place does not look like much from outside the freeway, but it's a gem. Ordered wings spicy soy garlic and cheese drumsticks with the nice manager lady in the front. Both were juicy tender and crunchy. Best kfc I've had in the states! Enjoy

came here solely to try the bburinkle chicken which is apparently a very close dupe to one of the most popular fried chicken flavors in korea. It was salty, sweet, and savory all in one! A very stimulating taste but a but too sweet for me. I also got the spicy soy garlic which had a good enough kick on your tongue but not too spicy where youre crying at the same time. Chicken here is extremely affordable compared to other korean chicken but wasnt as crispy as id like it to be. Wouldnt be my first choice in korean fried chicken but my only choice if I ever crave bburinkle again!

Delivery Order: Pretty quick delivery and the flavor was really good, but I felt the fried chicken skin was a little too tough to eat. Wings were cooked well though and overall not bad.

Yam Yam Chicken is my family's favorite take out chicken location! We have been getting take out whole chicken from here since it opened years ago, when the price was $20. Now it is $24, which is still a great deal considering other chicken places like BBQ and Don Chicken are $28+. The staff are friendly, and the chicken is prepared quickly after an order is placed -- it typically takes 15-20 minutes. Yam Yam is a must try! (Our favorite is the soy garlic flavor.)

Even when the Ridgefield/Edgewater area is saturated with Korean food choices, this modest and down-to-earth Korean chicken restaurant delivers a formidable alternative to the other glitzier establishment of like. We tried the spicy soy garlic, sweet and spicy, and bburrings flavor. The bburings definitely takes the cake -- the sweet cheese powder mixed with onion and garlic coats the chicken like sweet manna from heaven! I love spicy food and still found the sweet and spicy chicken still giving a pleasantly surprising kick! The lady served us with a joyful chatter and allows us to have a mix of flavors in the same box when you order the larger 10pc quantity. The deliciously succulent and crispy mix of the selections are also priced at around 20% lower than other similar restaurants, and with no less of a quality! The place has a "small chinese take-out" vibe with minimal no-nonsense decor with a few poster and Korean periodicals sprawling for you to peruse while you wait for your order. Don't let this fool you -- it's the food that counts! Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area next.

Crispy whole chicken !!! Well brined. Do not need the sauce !!!!!

Yes, another review for Yanm Yam chicken ^^ There are sooooooo many Korean style chicken places, and many with the famous franchises. I have been a fan of Yam Yam for more than 5 years, and the quality of their chicken & service has been very consistent. It does not have many types - compared to Pelicana & BBQ Fried Chicken, but we always order the regular style ~~~ Crispy, Soy garlic, spicy, sweet & sour ^^

Boneless crispy chicken and boneless bburings chicken

We ordered take out for small boneless crispy chicken and boneless bburings chicken without not really knowing for sure what bburings was. Interesting coating of garlic, onion, and cheese and it came with a white bechamel sauce on side. I prefer crispy one more but it was good to try something new. The chicken was wonderful and hot. I didn't need gloves but would come back in a heartbeat. Definitely much much better than Bonchon. I was disappointed in the Pelicana in the NJ area so far so I am glad I tried Yam Yam!

First takeout in over 6 weeks and the chicken ends up being bloody and raw inside. Very disappointed. Will have to call and complain tomorrow morning. I said enough. Ordered the sweet and spicy whole chicken. Service was fine, I went near closing time so everyone was sorta relaxing, perfectly normal atmosphere. The chicken itself was really good and I enjoy whole chicken mostly for the chicken breast , was very glad they had it as an option. Price was very good! Only 10.50$ for what I had ordered. Would highly recommend.

Best priced and tasting wings in Palisades Park. Original crispy wings is always the default. Only downside is you have to pay for sauces.

It was the overcooked chicken…read morethat caused this and, as expected, dark meat was much less affected by this than white meat. And since I prefer white meat, the dry white meat parts were literally tough to swallow. The white radish was aged well, perhaps too well, so it didn't have the crisp crunch we've come to expect. There were several things these guys did well that give me hope for a possible next visit. First, the sauce for the sweet chilli chicken was on point, and theirs is the sauce-y kind which I like. One of the three sides, the rice cakes, was my favourite part of the whole meal. The rice cakes were tender and a perfect bite size, and the sauce was the right blend of sweet and spicy that doesn't hurt my stomach. The dining room is nice and open, and decor was surprisingly whimsical (pictured). The vinyl glove was a nice touch and saved me from using utensils to get meat off the bones. I'd consider going back. When I do, I expect a solid 5-star experience.

I've been to a different Boom Boom Chicken location but this one was cleaner, brighter, and had more seating. We were greeted by Esther the owner who was very friendly. Since we were hungry, we opted for the Whole Chicken which is the large option totally about 18pc. They have 2 main flavors so we got both. The chicken was so unbelievably fresh, crispy, and had just the right amount of flavor on every single piece. The soy garlic was savory and well-seasoned while the spicy was super tolerable but definitely started to kick in after a few pieces. I love that they put fried tteokbokki (rice cakes)! Since they were fried, it reduced some of that gelatinous, chewy texture and actually made it even more enjoyable. The Sweet Potato Fries were a nice addition and the sweet & sour radish are an absolute must with Korean fried chicken. The Haitai Bong Bong Grape Drink was refreshing and fruity; you even get real grape pieces that "burst" in your mouth. If you're in the area, you have to check them out! It's reasonably priced and I left feeling full & satisfied!

Really enjoyed the Peckwich too, which came with juicy bits of fried chicken and what tasted like kimchi coleslaw. This place is the bomb dot com. Every time someone sang its praises, I had to wonder, 'Really? The best fried chicken comes out of THAT space?' Because every time I passed by it, it looked quiet or closed or both. But don't let appearances fool you. It's very, very good. To get straight to it, the wings are the way to go here. I ordered both the wings and the boneless tenders to give this place the old college try, and while the tenders are impressive in size and heft (and I personally like them because I don't have to work around a bone), I found the wings to be far more tender and flavorful. I also found that the tenders were far quicker to lose their fried crunchification. I also tried both the soy garlic and sweet and spicy flavors, and both are incredible. If you put a gun to my head and made me choose one, I'd have to pick the soy garlic, but I love the way these sauces aren't lathered onto each piece. There's just enough brushed on so that you can appreciate both the flavor and the texture of the chicken. The fries here are the wedge type. Think KFC, but fresher and less salty. Also, don't sleep on the pickled veg. I know it sounds nuts to buy pickled veggies from a fried chicken place, but it's a staple for classic Korean fried chicken dinners to cleanse the greasy palate with something acidic. I love the medley of veg they use here, and I loved the pickling juice so much, I actually found myself sipping it between bites (don't judge me). There's a small parking lot on the side of the building that might accommodate three or four cars at most. And that might be by design, because three or four parties is probably the most that could dine in this tiny restaurant. But as many have already shared, the owners here are so sweet and friendly, it's a gift to spend any amount of time with them, even in this teacup-sized dining room. Those who choose to takeout or deliver will be pleased to know that Peck Peck Chicken knows how to to package freshly fried things correctly - that is, with intentionally aerated containers so that you won't lose all that beautiful crisp as the food makes its way home.
