After speaking with Jeff, post me losing my cool with Andrew, he found a different system that had to be custom made to work. So in Jan, MIS took out the failed system that they installed and replaced it with a modified system that functions perfectly. They worked to fix a problem that was not an install issue. It was a component issue. It took time and they got it right. The engine in my son's 2012 Hyundai locked up a couple of weeks ago, so my son had it towed to Complete Auto. It was going to cost between somewhere in the range of $4,000-$6,000 to replace the engine, and he still has a small loan on the car. The team at Complete auto (Nick & Matt) did some searching and found that there was a technical service bulletin (TSA) on his year and make of vehicle that addressed the engine failure. Long story short, they suggested that we have it towed to a Hyundai dealership to see if they would warranty it, and...THEY DID! Complete Auto "could" have not told us about the service bulletin and possibly had a big pay day. It's very hard to find that level of honesty in ANY business these days. They might not always be the cheapest, but they have my business and recommendation because of their quality work, honesty, over-all value, and willingness to help people out in any way possible. I went back to get it and paid for the battery and diagnostics and while vehicle was warming up (winter) it died. They came out and took a look at it and said we will need to look at it closer. Needless to say I live in Shakopee so they needed a day, not convenient. They came back and said it needed a new fuel pump. Standard fuel pump labor is 3 hours and they charged me 4.5, checked with two other shops. But that is not all, I had a full tank of gas and when I came back they said I had no gas in the tank (30 g. tank) and they had to put gas in it so it cost me an extra $250 in gas. Terrible place.

They said that was partly because it was in such good shape that there wasn't a lot to investigate, so very good news. The other thing I noticed was that I was treated with respect and given a rundown of the results. This has not always been my experience as an older female at other places. I was told I needed new rear brakes, so I planned to replace them myself on Saturday, 12/29/25. When I went to start the job, my security socket was nowhere to be found. So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection. Needless to say, it was a major inconvenience--and I didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. This was my experience as a first-time customer. My insurance had missed that the collision had cracked the container that held my windshield wiper fluid. It was the auto-body shop that did notice this, contacted my insurance for me, got them to approve the repair, and repaired it for me without any additional costs to me (which was AWESOME). PLUS they borrowed me a loaner car while the repairs were done! I hope I never have another accident, but if I do and need any auto-body repair, they're the people I'll see.
