Great place for Friday night fish fry. Went with three other couples. Suggest you go early, 5 pm ish, because place fills up fast. Host sat us promptly and waitress was immediately at our table. Wifey had baked walleye with baked potato. I had blackened walleye, but extra blackened, with side salad as a side dish in place of a potato. Meals came hot to the table with two generous slabs of walleye on each serving cooked to perfection. Cole slaw and small dinner roll accompanied the entree. We really enjoyed buoyed our meals and table conversation. The other couples each had some variation of the fish fry. Perch was a favorite for a few of them. Price was modest for what we received. I consider our food experience to be good to excellent and price to be very good value. Highly recommend without any reservations. The place was packed by the time we left. read more

Outside of the view this place is just a pub on a fancy golf course . Unimpressed with turkey Ruben considering there was more sauce then turkey and the bread didn't seem rye at all. The view was the winner. The service not so much. We went just before sunset so we needed the umbrella put into the center table ( why that wasn't done already I don't know) and then the server didn't have the pin for the umbrella and after several trips to the table she finally brought it " I apologize that I kept forgetting the pin" but by then the sun set it wasn't busy at all as it was a Wednesday. Although I will say the server was very nice. Not her fault about the sandwich. The menu in this review is also not updated. They still show a beef ruben and I got turkey. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch with my Sister. I ordered the Dahmen's House Burger with fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were really good!!! A little crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and seasoned just right!!! Our bartender was really nice and paid attention to details! We sat at a table facing the 18th hole. We had such high hopes when we agreed to meet my father at Dahmen's for Friday night fish, but left very frustrated and likely won't return. My son and I both ordered fish tacos with fries. I had sweet potato fries and my son got batter dipped. When we got our meals both were cold. Both the tacos as well as the fries. And when I say cold I don't mean not hot, I mean cold! The tocos we not only cold, but basically flavorless. No sauce or seasoning of any kind and pico de Gallo that was basically just chopped tomato's. The vinegar coleslaw, again, had no seasoning and the vinegar base was so mild its flavor was imperceptible. We sent two orders the sweet potato fries back, and I decided to order the fish fry instead, hoping that it will have a better chance of being hot. Then finally, when the bill came there was absolutely no accommodation for my meal or for the fact that two meals and three fry orders were room temp! The manager never stopped by to apologize, in fact the manager didn't even stop by to simply see how we were doing! With COVID restaurants are already only allowed 50% capacity, so there's no excuse for not stopping by every table to see how their patrons are doing, and certainly none considering how bad our experience was. We do not believe we will be returning to Dahmen's any time soon. read more

Never really thought to go to a restaurant located in a golf course club house... I don't do golf. However, a friend of mine and my husband both said it was legit, so I trusted them. The first time I ate at Dahmen's I was pretty neutral to it. I got a small basil pizza, it was good, but nothing spectacular. I was however impressed by the drink menu and overall service. So tonight we decided to return due to the convenient location and less than ideal road conditions (seriously, no more snow... please)! I was craving a good burger and fries. I ordered the Bunker burger and it was FANTASTIC! It had a thick slice of cream cheese on it as well a grilled onions and aioli. I ate the entire thing, and wished I had more. The fries were awesome too, definitely thought they were a little stingy with the amount of fries on my plate, but whatever. I am beyond thrilled with my meal that I had tonight. I definitely found my new burger spot when I don't feel like driving downtown. read more

The old Dahmens was a classy place with great pizza and other good things in a club environment. The remodeling has absolutely sucked the class out of the place. The lighting is cold and very sterile. No charm. No warmth. The Decorator must specialize in bus Depots and garages. Sadly I ordered the baked cod and it was the worst meal for me in 2019. It had a frozen essense with a hint of over chlorinated water. The salad and the homemade dressing was good. Stick with the pizza and perhaps just confine your visits to the daytime when the lackluster interior won't depress you like being in a Soviet apartment. read more

I can't believe anyone would think the food at this place is "delicious". It was mediocre at best. I used a restaurant delivery service so maybe that was a factor somewhat. I had a burger, fries & a chef salad. The burger was okay. It was good, but I wasn't really impressed...same for the fries. Now the chef salad was another story. It was the worst chef salad I ever had. The meat, whatever it was, was dried out & tasteless. There wasn't any cheese. Toppings were non-existent, just some kind of greenery. The salad dressing was horrible... All in all I'm very disappointed. I won't do that again! read more

However, the manager at Dahmen's confronted my party with a disrespectful and condescending tone. Soon thereafter, his actions followed suit as he berated a local vendor with the same condescending and elitist tone. The experience left my party feeling intimidated and disrespected. I came here to meet up with some friends to watch the Euro Cup final. When we arrived they did not have the audio on but the bartender happily switched it over for us. It was 2:00 on a Sunday and it was pretty empty aside from a few groups of people who, for the most part, were all there to watch the game. There are TVs a plenty and lots of seating-plenty of high tops, seats at the bar as well as a section in the back with regular tables. It's located in the Hawks Landing golf course clubhouse. Just follow the signs off Midtown and curve around to behind the pool. You'll enter near the pro shop and head down the hallway to your left. Service was prompt and friendly. The food menu is pretty varied-everything from the typical appetizers (wings, curds, nachos) to soup, salads, pizza, burgers as well as a Friday Fish Fry. And fear not vegetarians, while there are not a ton of options, the menu does include a veggie platter, a veggie burger, salads and of course, meatless pizzas. Draft beer options were pretty limited to New Glarus, Capitol, Lake Louie and a few others including Karben 4's Fantasy Factory. A wide variety of styles but not a huge selection if that's what you are looking for. Our party was all very pleased with the food. We didn't have the smoked wings but others nearby did and they looked awesome. One in our party had the southern burger which was a bacon cheeseburger topped with onion straws (though more like cut up onion rings rather than those really skinny onion strings I was expecting), pulled pork and BBQ sauce. Yes, it was a beast. I tried some of the pulled pork that was laid across the top and it was fantastic. Up there with some of the better pulled pork I've ever had-including dedicated BBQ places. I will be back for sure just to have their pulled pork sandwich. They claim it as a bit of a specialty and I have no doubt it will not disappoint. read more

Good food over all. Pizza is decent. Location and views are nice, but I really want to tell you that you've got to get that fish taco off the menu! It is so disgusting. It has even come up in conversations how disgusting it is. (We live in the area) The fish is shredded up with the slaw like you would expect from the mixture in a chicken salad sandwich. It's probably made ahead and then plopped on the taco for serving. Why is it like that!?! It's so weird. Otherwise, good restaurant. read more

I came here on a weeknight and was a little put off when the beer I ordered hadn't been served in a while, so the menu wasn't up to date. I've heard good things about their Friday fish fry. However, I ordered a Cuban sandwich and it was pretty good, but not what I had in mind. The sandwich had a slice of pork in it, which was a bit dry for my liking. My friends both ordered salads, which looked really good and huge! The service was good and as I mentioned, great views! read more

As my wife and I often say about some local restaurants... very GFS (in other words, very "food service."). Pizza crust was totally unoriginal, looked and tasted like one of those frozen crusts you can buy at Gino's. The margarita pizza was flavorless, and the only spice looked and tasted like something they shook out of a dried Italian seasoning shaker. Their "onion straws" looked and tasted like they came out of a bag they keep in the freezer - again, very food service. Nothing special here, very bland and definitely not worth the trip if you don't live in Hawks Landing. read more

Pizza is the best in Verona! The Dahmen's deluxe is our favorite! Have also had the burger and Friday fish fry which are all delicious as well. Just hard to walk into this place and not get their pizza. They also have a fantastic patio and view of the area. Definitely a great spot tucked away here in Verona. read more

Two weeks ago, we held our son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner at Dahmen's. We can't say enough about how wonderful Taylor and the rest of the staff were to work with, especially with planning and replanning during a pandemic. Our group of fifty was served an excellent meal of Friday fish fry and slow roasted chicken. The accommodations and service were second to none! read more

Ordered the fish tacos which were the worst I've ever had anywhere. My spouse had a burger & fries... after waiting longer than one would expect, both meals were served luke warm. Later that night throughout the whole next day was so sick to my stomach. Be sure to order something that is thoroughly cooked through and served hot if you eat here. Side note: the bathroom faucet never gets hot, wonder about that when someone from the kitchen has to wash their hands and return to work. read more
