First of all, we got here at 6 pm on a Saturday and were told for a table of 2 it would be a half an hour wait which we had no problem with. About 16 minutes later our table was ready which was great. Our waiter was in the top 5 for worst waiter I have ever had. He would literally point at things and never speak. At one point he pointed at my empty plate but he was asking if I needed water. When he brought our food out he handed me my plate instead of setting it down in front of me. I've been visiting my sister for over a decade and have always noticed this pizza spot--but finally gave it a try, and I'm kicking myself for not going sooner. The pizza was absolutely delicious, with generous toppings and a perfectly made crust. We were torn between two specialty pizzas, and our server helpfully suggested we split them half and half--such a great option! We ended up trying the Mac Daddy and the Buffalo Chicken, and while both were solid, the Buffalo Chicken was the clear standout. Honestly, it's one of the best versions I've ever had. The dough was excellent, and even the leftovers held up beautifully the next day. On top of the great food, the service was friendly and welcoming. The order was ready when expected, and pickup was easy & trouble-free. The ride back to the Air BNB was excruciating while hotboxing pizza air - it smelled SO GOOD. Food was great. Sat at the bar on a very busy Sunday night. Bar seats full (16 stools?). Waitress station at bar was stacked up with back orders. Only one bartender... and on his second shift ever. Left all alone behind the bar and was DEEP in the weeds. He got very little help from management or servers. An off duty staff member came in to help for a second but wasn't there to work I don't think. Server stations helped first and bar patrons were an afterthought... if at all. 2+ hours from sit down to eat and leave. Bartender never said a word or acknowledged people. This is a great place for a large menu/ lots of different options. One of my favorite pizza places. This is my favorite place for hand tossed pizza. All of the pizzas have a perfect amount of toppings, and they were all well balanced. Overall there is never a miss on any pizza I've gotten here, and the appetizers are also delicious. The food is always served quickly, and the service is always friendly. I loved the sweet treat, cinnamon nuggets. Portions are huge and prices are inexpensive. There was live music tonight, and I appreciated how it wasn't too loud but just loud enough to enjoy. Lighting and seating are great, with many places to sit with large groups. read more

Here's the good and the bad...the food must be made fresh because they were quite busy and it took a long time to get our food. Onion rings were excellent! My husband ordered quesadillas and claimed they were " ok" but rather bland. I had the southwest salad, which was very disappointing. The chicken was overcooked and they add LOTS of arugula...who ever heard of making a southwest salad with arugula??? It did not even taste good. On the other hand, service was good. Our waitress was attentive and was able to help us navigate the menu and make needed changes. Next time, I will order pizza. I haven't tasted it yet, but the pizzas I saw bright to there looked amazing! Give it a try...but skip that salad if you don't love arugula!!! read more

This is the best pizza I have ever had, hands down. Meatlovers was my first experience and fell in love. I've had a few of the different specialty ones and their all yummy! Finally went to the delicious Sugar River Pizza! It was a surprisingly calm night with few people, and we enjoyed our food, drinks, and desserts. Our server was very nice and welcoming, the pizza and salads were excellent and oh my goodness, get the peanut butter pie and roll yourself out the door -- holy goodness that dessert is a top 10 for me. We had pretzel bites which were amazing, although they kind of sit in the butter pooled under them. The Hawaiian pizza was delicious, pineapple does in fact belong on pizza. I had the Asian chicken salad and was very happy with the portions and quality. The peanut butter pie was absolutely outstanding. I would drive the 25 minutes from my apartment just to order that dessert. It is incredible, I'm still thinking about it days later. Get one for the table! The ambiance isn't much to speak of, there's not a ton of decor or a theme going. The bathrooms were nice, but watch out, the foamy soap comes directly at you! read more

A very expansive tap list (probably close to 50) is notable. We were in the witching hour between lunch and dinner and our waitstaff was a little brusque. Stop by this place for dinner with family. What a cute sit down restaurant. Our server was very attentive but I didn't catch her name. We had a party of 7 and it was easy to get a table since it wasn't that full for a Thursday night. Best kept happy hour! Monday - Friday 2:30-5:30 all apps (excluding wings and tenders) are half off. I will never turn down a pizza here though, try the creamy pesto...it's the best I've had! As much as love SRP, the service is hit or miss, which is why the 4 stars. Sometimes things are fast and well-oiled, other times you could wait an hour to get an appetizer. Today our waitress never checked back after our food and we both needed refills on our sodas. I've had several meals made wrong, or even forgotten, and not given a comp, offered to make right, or much of an apology. The Kickapoo Taco pizza is served with salsa, sour cream, lettuce, and homemade chips on the side, so it's up to you to determine how you want to go about creating that full flavor profile. For our group, it seemed like a 14" pizza was an ample amount to share with 1 friend. Some of us ordered the Daytona Stinger, a fruited sour - this is not fruity in the slightest. The beer is slightly green in color due to the "healthy dose of mojito extract" and it did not look appetizing. I lost my appetite for the salad but it was mostly lettuce with a few cucumbers and tomatoes on top. The pizza was greasy (not typical pizza grease) and you could only taste the cheese which for Wisconsin I'd expect to be flavorful. The tomato, basil, and balsamic had zero flavor as well. First off, this was a very nice resterait and had a very good staff. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. I had recently sprained my finger before going and I had it taped. She asked what happened and I said I sprained it. She then said that she was a EMT trained and would gladly take a look at it. She looked at it and gave me ice for it and even offered to splint it for me and I said it was fine. There was one problem. We started with their small Caesar salad which was actually quite big as the waitress said it was. Three of us shared a 14" Italian meat pizza - the thin and crispy crust. It was pretty good, not great. You could tell the crust was a pre-made crust. It actually tasted like a something you'd get in a store bought frozen pizza. There was plenty of meat and that part was good. One other got a flatbread item and thought it was good. The other got a chicken wrap of some sort and it was huge - he liked it. We tried the Kicking Horse 4-Alarm Pizza and the spicy blend of cheese is a perfect combination! We also tried the Amazon Deluxe which was also good but once you try the cheese blend on the Kicking Horse it just doesn't hit the spot the same way. We went the week between Christmas and New Year's around lunch time. They were definitely busy so there was a wait but all of the staff were clearly hustling. We sat at the bar to avoid the wait. I had one of the Young Blood beers on tap and the crispy chicken sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was very large but had pretty good flavor. It would have been better with some lettuce to add something fresh and crisp. I would probably go back again but try something else. Good place to grab a pizza & beer with friends! My friend & I sat at at the enormous & comfy bar (seriously, the bar chairs were soooo squishy & comfortable!) and tried a flight of beer. Their tap selection is very impressive, plus they offer a variety of cocktails. I also tried their purple margarita which was very good. We ended up ordering a pizza as well, which came out nice and delicious looking. I don't think the thin crust is homemade but it still tasted good enough. This was my first visit to this location.. the place is beautiful! Big, open and new which is always nice. We sat in a room overlooking the wetlands, with the glass wall wide open. Super cool. First and foremost... the food came out HOT! Which is my #1 requirement. The server was super nice and very attentive. Food was good, nothing spectacular, but what ai expected.
