This Is my go to place i absolutely love the food and the people there are really nice

My son was hungry and found this place to try. I didn't bother to look at the reviews because I was driving and apparently he didn't either. ‍ Overall the food wasn't very good. Most of the food from the buffet was gross and I regretted putting it in my mouth. The Hibachi was the only real redeeming quality. If it weren't for that I would have left hungry. They have a large selection of food, but like I said before I wasn't very good. I won't be coming back. This has to be one of the best buffets I have been to in a while. They offer a wide variety of foods, including hibachi, sushi, desserts, and buffet items. Hibachi and sushi are add-ons to the traditional buffet. The traditional lunch buffet offers your typical buffet items, such as chow mein, hunan beef, egg rolls, beef and broccoli, and much more. I chose to do the buffet to go and was more than satisfied with my lunch. The to go buffet is priced by weight of the food and you fill up a to go container. If you choose the same route, you just go to the service desk and let the staff know you are taking it to go. I filled mine with more food than I could finish and paid ~$11, not too shabby. As far as the food, it is what I expected from a buffet. In this case you get what you pay for. Even though the quality may not be the highest, the food was tasty and seasoned appropriately. It did not taste like it was all make in the same pot, as I have experienced at other buffets. It was hot and kept warm until I was able to make it home. You can't beat the food if you are looking for something that will fill you up with a wide variety of items and flavors. The place was clean and the staff was friendly upon entrance and exit. The to go experience is as expedient as you wish. They seem to go a great job making sure items are refreshed on a regular basis. There were no empty buffet items when I came in. Food is nothing to rant and rave about honestly pretty mediocre. The real kicker for me that made it a bad experience was as I stood up two leave two of the waitresses confronted me and hassled me about leaving a tip. I explained I've never once tipped at a buffet before and that tipping isn't required whatsoever in any restaurant. The lady started speaking in mandarin and called me a sha bi. Once I got to my car out of curiosity I decided to research common mandarin insults and curse words. Sha bi translates to stupid c*nt lmao. I went here with my girlfriend and her grandpa when we came in the entry price was 20$ which was insane and as soon as we walked to our table the floor was dirty and the food area was filthy after we were seated and actually got out food the bread was freezer burnt much like the other foods there im not sure if any of it was made by them and after awhile we realized that our waiter only knew thank you and money and had no way to communicate to us and my girlfriend stood up to go get a capsule from the quarter machines when i went to join her my waiter blocked me off and said money money money while tapping her tip tray and i tried talking to her and she just kept laughing and saying money when we werent done at the buffet her grandpa ended tipping and we left and we brought the issue up to the manager and she just shrugged and from my experience there i doubt she knew much English herself and other than that there were bites taken out of food that were still up in display the food was frozen bagged food and freezer burnt so not much her besides bad service and frozen foods read more

I have been coming here since I was probably 9 and now I am 20. When I was a child I really liked this place, however I have noticed the quality of service has gone down here. The servers have became rude and forcing tips on people. Not only do they demand tip they also try to get you to leave after 30 mins. When I was a kid that never happened, and so I think the owners should definitely work on training their servers more on hospitality and not forcing tips on their customers. The is good, but it's not worth the way they treat theirs customers now. I still only come because I know it's decent on some things, but soon I won't see coming to this place worth it anymore. Customer service is horrible. My husband and I came to this restaurant for lunch. We were first seated at a dirty table so we asked if it could be cleaned and the waitress said just move to another one, as if we chose our table in the first place. The second incident was when my husband asked for a refill. The waitress looked disgusted said no and walked off. She refilled someone's drink from another table and seated a family of four and gave them their drinks. I then went to the front desk and was greeted with an apology and a refill. The variety here is very good, there's hibachi, sushi, Chinese food, and just plain ol' boring food. Lots of dessert options as well. So like a lot of buffets you pay first, drinks are extra and you only get one refill. Personally I do not like this, just get some fountains and let people have what they want. Once you get going to the buffet lines, there are so many options. The sushi option is great even if it's just some basic rolls, it's a nice change of pace. The American fare is good, you can get mozzarella sticks, fried chicken, Mac n cheese that is really cheesy, all the works even pizza. The Chinese options are vast as well, dumplings, egg rolls, lo mein, beef n broccoli, etc. Variety is the key to this location, you get a lot of it. There's even soup on hand. My main concern with this place is food safety. With so many items to chose from it's not uncommon for kids to take over without supervision. Though the establishment has signage that indicates adults must assist, I do not see this enforced. So kids being kids, I've seen some nasty behavior with regard to food safety. My wife and I have eaten here with a modicum of frequency over the years. While consistency of quality has occasionally been an issue with the buffet tables, the hibachi grill has almost always been excellent. Highly recommended!! (The available proteins are fresh and tasty, as are the vegetables and rice). Unfortunately, the place is in need of some serious upgrade, and it's not as clean as it once was. I've seen the reviews that complain about the service, but I don't recall any issues in that regard over the years. All in all, it's a very inexpensive way to fill the tummy, and can be healthy if one chooses wisely. My favorite way to partake is by way of carry-out. Absolutely Terrible. After I paid one of the lady workers came up and asked for a receipt and was rude about it. She clearly saw I paid and still demanded it. The food wasn't bad, but what left a terrible taste in my mouth was when 3 men stool up from their table to leave before they even had their jackets on the elderly waitress loudly said to them, "What, no tip!" They looked at her like she was crazy, she repeated herself and the started getting out some cash, when one of the men was having a hard time getting his tip out of his wallet for her she physically asserted her body in his way so he couldn't leave the area and nearly bumped into my husband doing so!!! During this pandemic thing Daily Buffet & Grill is open for dine in. Only half of the buffet is filled, but the price is the same. It is also the only place I know of where everyone can still serve themselves. I have seen people come in with masks, without masks, and some take the masks off to go up to the buffet. There are signs posted telling everyone to wear their masks for the safety of staff and others. Also they ask to practice social distancing, however they seat folks wherever. The Hibachi Grill is where I usually head. There are signs for no one under 10 getting food without an adult. You can forget that too. The food is good. This is a very difficult review to post for me but here it goes. For years now I've been coming to this place almost once a week. Food quality def varies but for the most part it's mediocre at best. I am a GM of a restaurant and have been in the industry fir almost 20 yrs. The total with drink is just under 18 but I ALWAYS leave the total to 25 with tip, and that's for a buffet where I just need a drink refilled. So yesterday I'm in the and do my norm, 25 total ($7 tip). As I'm leaving, the server in my section immediately says "no money for me?" I explained that it was left on the cc slip but then I get "but what about me?". First of all I waited almost 15 mins for a refill (you have one job, not taking orders or anything of that nature. You refill a drink and clean empty plates, thats it!! Then have the audacity to ask for money?? I generally tip 30% whenever I go out, but wtf did you actually do to think you deserve anything even though I tipped 30% off the jump. Again, being in this business for as long as I have, if it was one of my servers asking for a tip, 95% you'd be fired on the spot. Not even being able to keep up on a refill, we'd def have a serious talk about your abilities. This place is actually pretty horrible and I'd rather drive 20 mins to get my Chinese fix. While you might be overwhelmed with the different types food you can splurge on, you'll be underwhelmed with the taste and quality. The rice was undercooked and cold, the breaded chicken was rubbery. The majority of the food on my plate was cold or room temperature and the "cold" sushi and seafood were lukewarm. This is a perfect example on why restaurants should stick to a smaller better quality menu. I get that it's a buffet and I can't expect premium food, but this buffet is trying to provide too much variety and is undercutting the value of the cuisine. **I will say that their coffee cake was delicious!** The service was ok, although an 11 year old showed us to our table? He wasn't a fan to begin with, but thought it would be worth giving a second chance. The buffet was your average Chinese selection. Nothing spectacular about it. The decor was that of your average Asian restaurant. We came close to closing (which may have been a mistake). Their food was hot, but looked like it could've been there a little while......nothing special. I do like the fact that they have an hibachi grill where you can get fresh dishes prepared right there in front of you and its included in the price of the buffet. A lot of places I've been to that had a buffet/hibachi grill, you have to pay separately; so that was nice. On Sunday Funday I went here with my big bro! Yaay! There was a brief wait when we got in, and it was totally worth it. It sort of reminds me of The Journey (on a smaller scale of grandiosity) by blending Asian and American fair and letting you have at it like there's no tomorrow. Chatting with other patrons, as I usually do, I learned that there's an actual training program just to work at an Asian buffet! Awesome! My brother and I had just about everything and my one gripe is the fried fish is a little too soft from the steam table. You can get everything from Mac and cheese to "crayfish" "craw dads" what do we call them here in Indiana? I recommend going during the lunch hour, as dinner is a little pricey and tip tip tip! The staff is quiet, and busy so ask for two waters or sodas instead of one... Really great food selection. Lots of fresh sushi, hibachi where you pick your own ingredients, fried and fresh food selection, ice cream, fresh food, etc. They have the best/freshest buffet sushi I've ever had and the fish is also delicious. There's a good mix of American, Chinese, Japanese and seafood. The wait staff will quickly pick up your plate and is great about refills (Pepsi products). I would have given 5 stars but the girl at the checkout desk was very rude.
