These are the best donuts I've had in years! They are crunchy on the outside with just the right amount of frosting. Tip: I freeze them and then heat them up at 200 degrees for 10 minutes. Delishiosity! read more

Saw the sign driving up Rose Dr and decided to stop by! It is in the same shopping center as Napoli's and the convenience store (it is not in the CVS lot or the Chevron lot): There are two entrances: 1. You are coming off the 780E (exiting Columbus Pkway onto Rose Dr) before you cross Columbus Pkwy, you make a right into the lot. 2. Coming from Vallejo, you are on Columbus Pkwy driving towards Rose Drive. You will pass the McDonalds, Starbucks, and CVS on your right, cross the Rose Drive intersection, the entrance is right before the Chevron entrance. If you go too far, you'll just end up on the 780W! 3. If you are coming off the 780w from exiting Columbus Pkwy, you will make a U-turn at Rose Dr. Entrance is immediately on your right. 4. If you are coming down Rose Dr from up the hill, make a left onto Columbus Pkwy and the immediate right into the lot. Sorry, I give terrible directions!!! The owner is a sweetheart. After coming home, I realized she gave me way more than a dozen donut holes! Tasty donuts - had the donut holes and chocolate iced. I need to get there early for my fave - chocolate cake with sprinkles! The hours say until 2, but they may still be open if they still have donuts! read more

Cute little family owned business. I wish it was in a better location so more people would find it! We had the apple fritter, sprinkled, and maple bar donuts. The fritter was my favorite but they were all good. We walked home prior to trying them so I can't attest to whether they were warm and straight out of the oven but they were still good. We were really surprised by this little donut shop. They opened on Halloween and told us they're still trying to see how many donuts they need each day since they've been running out fast some days. We came in at 9 today and they were out of a lot of flavors already. Note to self: get there early on the weekends. We got the Boston cream-filled donut, vanilla and chocolate sprinkles cake donut, and a glaze donut. All were really good, but I definitely liked the cream filled donut best since that's my favorite. DD is awesome for the town of Benicia for many reasons. For one, it fills a niche of affordable, down-home treats in a sea of gourmet and pricey offerings downtown; and I actually like its stealthy location, no big crowds or huge lines to deal with. Secondly, it's a family-owned, off-shoot of another tried-and-true donut shop based out of Vallejo, so the history and legacy are there. Third, unique meat pies and sausage rolls offer a savory counter-point to their sweet offerings; the family recipe hailing from the matriarch's time spent in Aus many moons ago. Fourth, the gals that work there provide some of the best customer service in town. Finally, ownership is so customer-oriented (and by extension, staff-oriented) that they adapted to the pandemic by offering delivery to all-points Benicia, no delivery surcharge; no surcharge means a more generous tip for the delivery driver. People are entitled to their negative reviews, but I and alot of others will happily and enthusiastically support this biz because they do the simple and important things right. So what's good? My faves are the meat pies, sausage rolls, veggie turnover, apple fritters, donut holes, and filled donuts. Honestly though, you really can't go wrong with anything here, and even the day-old donuts that they offer from time-to-time, and sell for half off, are just as good. read more

I like their donuts. They've always been very nice and friendly but today I encountered a strange situation. Whenever they are out of the filled donuts I was given the option of having the bars or other hole less donuts filled. So today I asked if I could have one of the chocolate hole less donuts filled. I was told no and that they were saving this donut to sell as a plain chocolate donut. I was dumbfounded to say the least. What difference does that make. This is my go to donut shop. In the past I would just stop at Safeway for my donuts since it is so close to my house, but ever since I tried a donut from Daily Donut, I kicked Safeway's donuts to curb. They're priced really good and the donuts are so fresh. I had left over donut and it wasn't all hard and stale like other places once the donut goes past a day or two. The donuts aren't as oily like other establishments. Gotta love the fact that it's a local business too. My favorite donut is the one with white glaze and coconut. read more

These donuts are amazing! I tried all kinds, and they are all so good. The chocolate covered ones are done very well. Its almost like a chocolate bar shell around the donut that won't melt and smudge away like other donut places. Some of the donuts even had a soft cake like texture, its donut heaven! I had a chocolate old fashioned today. It had a crispy crust, nice and well set chocolate topping (maybe a little sweet, but not too bad). A very solid donut that gets top marks. So why the loss of a star? Well I usually judge donut shops with 3 items. The french crueler, old fashioned, and the apple fritter. French Crueler = Not Yet Old Fashioned = Good Apple Fritter = lump of apple fritter dough, almost like a mini loaf of bread that has been fried. I dislike bready apple fritters, much prefer the ones that are crispy, sweet, and thin like a funnel cake. Not too thick... with some apple chunks atop. This seems like a bad compromise. I'm so happy we have a donut shop in Benicia now! It's a cute and simple little shop off Columbus parkway ran by a husband and wife. The owner Leo was very kind and gave great service! Didn't get a chance to meet his wife but hopefully next time! I just devoured the sausage croissant and a chocolate sprinkled donut and both were so amazing I got right on Yelp so everyone can find out about this new breakfast spot of mine! They even offer a cake donut which I haven't eaten yet but it looks so yummy. Shouldn't have opened my mouth about the sausage croissants because apparently they go fast!! Lets just start off with the location. Its in the mini plaza of Napoli pizza and Rose market. My gps continued to re route me. I gave up an just drove to Vallejo. The next day I found it. A whole bunch of u turns and back tracks. The selection wasnt big. I ordered two chocolate and two maple donuts both tasted delicious. I must say.
