On the road from Charlotte to Raleigh and in need of some morning sustenance the old Yelp app comes to the rescue once again. Sitting in a tiny strip mall, the simple red and white store front doesn't quite do justice to the immense flavor that lies within. Inside and to left are drink coolers with seating all along the left wall, while front and center is glass case of confectioneries that will wow your taste buds. Donuts of every shape and size and flavor. Glazed donuts, frosted donuts, chocolate donuts, caramel donuts, cinnamon sugar donuts, maple bars, bear claws, fritters, donut holes, cannolis and croissants. They do breakfast sandwiches too! My wife and I got a chocolate frosted with sprinkles, a chocolate cake, and a vanilla frosted with oreo pieces and split the three of them. I think the oreo was probably my favorite of the bunch. Big, soft, and covered in sugary goodness. I have to give a shout out to the two women who were running the shop that day too. Nicest strangers I've met in a while, they not only complimented my wife's dress but were super polite and chatty in general. It was about a five minute detour to get here from our travel route, but I easily would have gone further for these tasty treats. Hands down best doughnuts in the area. There is not too much to speak of the shop itself. Its nice and clean and brightly lit. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the smell and the sights of two large cases jam packed full of doughnuts. The service is always friendly and quick and the prices are very reasonable. Some of the doughnuts are half the price of other places. As far as the doughnuts themselves, these doughnuts really are special. In the 10 or so times I've gotten doughnuts from Daily Donuts not one doughnut has been stale. This place is what everyone has been saying! I was finally able to drop by after Jelly Donuts closes after they run out for the day, I assume this place was the same. I shocked to see it open after 1pm! My family and I got an assortment and they have different types of delicious donuts! Some with sprinkles, cream, bacon and Oreos bits. I saw the billboard and had to stop in. The donuts here are top notch. There is a good selection and the donuts are larger than most other donut shops. The coffee is pretty goo too.
