After finding other nail places super busy the day before Christmas Eve, my friend and I went to Dainty Nails. We wanted to treat ourselves after a day of crazy mall shopping. They had lots of chairs available and were fairly busy themselves, but got us in. They offered us a drink right away and showed us all the nail polishes so we could choose our color. They were super friendly from the beginning. Because we were spoiling ourselves, we opted for the Deluxe Pedi and got a mani too! That Deluxe Pedi was amazing!!! You get the usual massage chair massage of course, but the foot massage was so good!!! The did the hot paraffin wax and hot towel too. My feet were incredibly soft afterwards! A lady named Mary introduced herself to us, not sure if she was owner or manager. She was very nice and said if we come back again to please ask for her. I'm already looking forward to the next time! Walked in and asked for gel polish color change. i had the perfect shape nails already and just asked them to make them shorter, they were almond. instead the woman made them completely round and very short from what i had. when i said something to her about the shape (because i was very upset) she laughed at me and ignored me). there is polish all over my skin, under the nails and covering my cuticles, she didn't even try to clean them first time there and it was completely empty, i was the only one in there and now i know why. will not be going back. read more

Very disappointed in all of the services I received today. I came in with a male friend of mine and we both requested full sets, yet the staff completely ignored him, even though we both clearly had polishes picked out. My nail tech didn't even bother to shape my nails after cutting off the excess tips, so none of my nails are even and she didn't apply enough coats so they're still translucent. When the same woman finally serviced my friend, he wanted a round nail, yet she once again didn't ask and didn't even use the polish he brought over, she went immediately to a clear coat. In my 20 years of having pedicures I have never had a more horrendous one! Several of my cuticles were drilled, three toes were barely painted at all, there was polish all over the skin, the two acrylics I had put on my big toes were horrific! huge clumps of acrylic wrapped all around the skin and cuticle! I had to break it off and clip it off with nail clippers! They were huge and it so ugly! I have never seen anything like this anywhere! Worst nails salon I have been in a very long time! Don't let them fool you! The place looks very nice, but the actual quality is terrible. Long story short... I got the $35 deluxe pedicure... she didn't not massage me or put lotion on my legs/feet. I wanted the new gold chrome gel look for my nails... she didn't know how to do it because they use a powder. I ended up being the guinea pig. The chrome look on my nails started to disappear the day after my manicure and I got charged an extra $10 for it. They didn't not even tell me ahead and I wasn't aware it was a power therefore it was different. Fast forward 3 days, one of my nails has completely chipped and the chrome look is going away. I'm not very pleased for $70 experience worth $30! read more

Did my homework and read all the great reviews. I didn't walk into the same place folks were thriving about. The techs were double and triple booked. Horrible experience. I was there for 2 hours and 15 minutes to have my dipped nails redone after 3 weeks from a previous salon I had been going to for 3 years. My previous nail tech was getting too sloppy after several months of settling for mediocre nails. Back to Dainty Nails..... I complained to the owner's wife and she started arguing with me up until the minute I left. The owner didn't want to get in the middle of two women arguing is what he told me as I was checking out. I paid for my services as I didn't want them to think I was there for a freebie. This is a business and I am a customer. I really put up with way too much and should have walked out after being there an hour still in foil to remove my polish. That won't happen ever again. Too many nail spas to put up with that crap. The cherry on the cake was they tried to automatically charge me a $13 tip. That didn't happen! Will never go back. read more

After not 1 but 2 bad experiences at a nail shop close by, I decided to try Dainty Nails. The Yelp reviews were decent and I figured it could not be worse than Odyssey. I walked in today, around 10am and was greeted immediately by both ladies working there. They asked what services I would like, I requested a fill and was immediately seated with Jennifer. She was polite and went to work on my nails, which I admit were in bad shape. She assessed my nail situation and told me that my old set was yellowing and would take a lot to repair. She suggested removing them and starting a new set, I agreed. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she began. The end result is a set of nails that was very nice and shaped exactly the way I wanted them to be. I only took one star away because there were slightly pushy about upgrading to gel and I wasn't offered a water like some of the other patrons. Aside from that, it's a nice salon with professional and polite staff. I will return. read more

I went in Thursday afternoon last week for a full set with gel, a pedicure (I even got the one that cost extra that came with a beverage, still haven't received that beverage now that I think of it), and some waxing, around $100 in services. When the man told the woman that she was to do my nails she literally started slamming stuff around in a huff, having a silent hissy fit as though she couldn't be bothered to do her job. I told her I wanted a full set with gel, white polish, that I am a really bad nail biter and I am trying to quit, but I need them short, round, and low key so I don't hurt myself. I have had short and round many times without issues. She didn't acknowledge my request and she (not so gently) took my hand and started applying acrylics, she made a rude comment almost in annoyance at how short my nails were, I reiterated I'm a nail biter and trying to quit. She then chose acrylics that are too wide for my fingers, I thought maybe she was going to shape them or something so I didn't need to worry. She then starts cutting them, she not once asked what I wanted so I reminded her "short and round". It took 4 clips of her saying "is that okay?" And me saying "no, literally right at my fingertips" and pointing to exactly how long I wanted them for me to give up and say "that's fine. I'll just live with this length. I reminded her that I want round, she informs me round will not be possible on this length (my nails are AT LEAST a quarter inch from the ends of my tips, and again, I've had them shorter and round, I know it's possible). I tell her "whatever. Fine. Just finish". She then tells me the white would look ugly and chose a different color for me. I hate everything about my nails and that was a very rare treat for me, it's not often I have time or money to treat myself, and this place destroyed the entire experience, and I'm going to have to pay more to have them fixed once I actually have free time and extra money to do so, until then I get to walk around with long nails that are impossible for me to work with, that are embarrassingly crooked, kind of bubbly, and just plain ugly. I thought maybe she didn't feel well, I know I can't be pleasant when I'm sick, but then she started laughing it up with a coworker sitting next to us folding paper towels (speaking of, she used one of the clean paper towels without removing it from the stack of clean paper towels). She didn't do my pedicure, the lady who did my pedicure was lovely, but I met up with this rude woman again for my waxing, she was less rude at this point but the sour taste was already in my mouth. In retrospect, I regret staying and letting her finish, and I regret paying, but I will NEVER come back. It's unfortunate because everyone else there was incredibly friendly, this woman ruined the entire establishment for me. UPDATE! It's been less than a week and one already popped off. Didn't even feel it, and if you know acrylics you know that it hurts like a mother when you rip one off so soon after getting them. Terrible!!!!!!! read more

Today was my first time here. I went in for an Acrylic French manicure and my nails came out perfect. My cuticles were over grown and my nails were in desperate need as well. I don't usually leave reviews but I felt the need to inform others so they can spare themselves. Service was horrible! So I needed my eyebrows done for a trip this weekend and get off of work 30 minutes before closing time for this salon. The lady who did my eyebrows was no polite at all and very rough. I should feel comfortable when I'm coming in to spend my money. I felt uncomfortable and like a burden to her. She did the bare minimum with my eyebrows. Just the waxing...no combing, no trimming or plucking. I'm disappointed in my recurved service and wasted $10. I will definitely never go back to this salon. Worst experience ever. We just moved here from Thornton Park. We came in at 7:05 to get basic pedicures. 2 technicians were busy with customers and 2 were sitting around (one was painting the other technicians toes) The girl up front with a customer asked the two sitting there to take us. They loudly argued with her and basically went off on her. The girl upfront said I'm sorry they don't want to because we close at 7:30. There was plenty of time to complete the service we asked for and people available to do it. I went to a place at the altamonte mall instead and they were kind and treated us with respect.
