Fantastic milk shakes and always friendly service. An LBI staple. Nothing like finishing your day with a delicious shake or sundae.

Ordered a caramel heaven milkshake. It was very good a great amazing vanilla milkshake but lacked the caramel flavor a bit. The service is one of the main reason its not the best around. Line was very long and was moving very slow. Waited about 20 to 26 minutes just to order ice cream. Atmosphere is great with A older ice cream place feel with just a window to order from, which made it unique in many ways. Would come back! read more

The ice cream was good UNTIL I came across not one, not two, but THREE beard hairs. Let's just say I lost my appetite. The fact that anybody would put out an ice cream with hairs in it is beyond me. It tasted like old ice cream that had been frozen and melted and refrozen again it was our last night in LBI and we were really looking forward to having delicious ice cream. Not here. this place ruined my night. they have very limited hard ice cream flavors and of course the flavor I wanted they were out of. I was furious. they're open 3 months out of the year, and they don't have their product in stock. truly mind boggling. if my mom hadn't ordered 3 seconds before me, I woulda walked away and gone to one of the other 75 ice cream places on the island that do have their product in stock. nothing bothers me more than businesses who don't have good inventory management. your job is to sell ice cream, logically one would ensure that ice cream is always in stock. read more

I have many memories of Dairy King. Most of them involve my father explaining why the prices are so high "They only have 3 months to make a living!" But isn't that true of most ice cream stands? Seriously, when you are at the shore, you need to buy your kids some ice cream and Dairy King is about the only spot on the Blvd within walking distance to Spray Beach/Beach Haven. So, there is no avoiding it. But, expect to leave with an empty wallet. read more

Apparently this means no more interesting topping choices and running the freezers warner so the ice cream pours down your arm the instant they hand it to you. The ice cream is still good, if melty, but you absolutely need it in a cup. My son looked like a chocolate crime scene. My stomach was also quite upset later that night, though the rest of the family was fine, so it may or may not have been DK's fault. This was our favorite ice cream shop, but there are far too many good options in LBI to go back until they fix everything they broke. read more

Five stars on the salted caramel flavor alone! I've had Dairy King before this past Fourth weekend but its new flavor, salted caramel took me to a new and better place. I know its the flavor of the moment for everything but Dairy King has perfected it as an ice-cream flavor. Bravo! read more

Win a prize in your cone?? If you order your cone with sprinkles (jimmies) beware that the entire cone could be filled with them. Huh? Why would the entire cone be filled with sprinkles- who knows? But then we checked our daughters cone and hers was filled half with sprinkles too. There's your prize. So much for getting to those last couple of bites of ice cream with your wafer cone only to find when you start getting to the best part that you get a mouth full of bb's. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because the ice cream is pretty good. read more

I had written an entire review of this place and when I hit submit the page timed out UGH! Not to be outdone by dairy queen.... dairy king has some tasty soft serve. Even on a rainy and rather chilly night here in LBI this place was packed. Lots of choices for toppings/dips and the soft serve is yummy. I may even like it better than DQ! read more

A couple of the ice cream places closer to us had really long lines so we drove until we found a place that wasn't as crowded. I was glad we ended up here! The ice cream was really good. Going to this place had become a summer-long tradition--until today. The softserve has always been some of the best ANYWHERE. As of July 2013, the softserve was obviously changed and is not smooth, not creamy, and (worst of all) not tasty. The ice cream also melted immediately, and we both had to slurp the regular size softserve servings within 4 minutes to keep them from melting all over us. We hope that they return to their yummy, creamy formula. In the meantime, we'll forego the $4 cones and just get a pint of Ben & Jerry's. read more
